Staff was friendly and accommodating at check in time. Clean and nicely appointed room. The kitchenette was a great convenience! The location is perfect with most attractions within walking distance. Highly recommend!

First, I made the mistake in regards to my check in date. Forgot that I would fly in the next day. Emailed the hotel upon departing the US told them I would not check in until the 22nd. They quickly responded and said no problem and just come to the hotel upon arrival. Checked into the hotel about 7 AM and was able to laydown. Great after flight and not having to wait until normal check in time. We were given complimentary voucher for breakfast at Port 9, restaurant behind the hotel. Food was excellent and service was great. Room was accommodating for three individuals and the breakfast basket was great. Could not ask for more excellent food and goodies left each day along withfresh bread left on the door. Will book again on the next trip to Iceland.

FANTASTIC! Warm and friendly and super comfortable on a cold, rainy day in Iceland.

The location was perfect and room was beautiful and cozy, and amenity was great! I love this hotel very much!!

The staff at Reykjavik Residence Hotel is the most friendly and helpful staff I've ever encountered. The day I checked in, early in the morning, before check in officially began, they were on top of getting my room ready as soon as possible. And it was. Well before the 3pm check in time. During my stay, I was always greeted with a smile and welcoming word when coming and going and even conversation about my day and the adventures I went on. Then, my flight home was cancelled due to inclement weather back home so I had no choice but to stay another day in Reykjavik. But the hotel was booked up so they didn't have any open rooms. The person on the desk that morning spent a good amount of his time that morning trying to get in touch with some guests who were traveling from my home area, knowing the weather would probably cause their flights to be cancelled too, and within an hour and a half I was checked back into my room. Not only that, he was so helpful that if it happened that I couldn't get back into my room for one more night, he was ready to help me find other accommodations. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but this has been the best experience I've ever had. The staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and clean and very comfortable. It's perfectly located to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Reykjavik. Thank you to the staff for helping make my stay even better!

The hotel is perfectly located near shops and restaurants.

I'll cut to the chase. The hotel is centrally located to everything you'll want to visit in Reykjavik. The broad street it sits on will allow any size charter vehicle to/from tours and airports to pick up and drop off directly at its door. The beds were the greatest I've ever slept on - the staff and amenities were top notch. The only thing I mention that isn't overwhelmingly in the plus column was the particular room we were in had a shower that flooded. There was no quickness that was a fix for the flooding shower short of greatly minimizing the water pressure so we did have to schedule bathroom use around showering because of the flooding. Otherwise, it was a knockout accommodation all the way around.

Friendly, clean, perfect location and the rooms are lovely. We loved this room, the front desk staff, and all the amenities. We went to Iceland to see the Northern Lights but had a rainy week - we are thinking of heading back to try again and if we do, this is the only place we'd consider staying. It's truly perfect!

Our hotel stay was absolutely wonderful, starting from a quick and easy check-in to your helpful, professional and friendly staff. The room was amazing, clean, comfortable and included everything we can ask for. If we had any questions or required any assistance, the staff was there to help us all the way. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. If we ever return to iceland, this would be our only choice. The breakfast was delicious, fresh bread every morning was great. I am a pretty picky person when it comes to the hotels, and I have to say, I was impressed. Thank you for everything. You made our trip truly special.

Couldn't ask for anything more. Would stay here again - great room- very comfortable.

We had excellent service beginning 6 months earlier when we made reservations. We were made to feel at home when we checked in, and our room and the service far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast basket was a lot of fun, and the fresh bread delivered to our door in the morning was about the best I've ever tasted. The location is central to the shopping area and lots of the Reykjavik attractions. It's a winner! We would definitely stay there again. My only criticism was that there was no common room so we could socialize and play board games with our traveling companions. However, the staff brought 2 extra chairs to one of our rooms so we could play there. Problem largely solved. The shower was small but it worked very well so no real complaints there!

We stayed at their "suites" property. This lovingly restored and well maintained heritage building was exceptional in every regard. The decor was stunning. It was immaculate, exceedingly quiet and provided for every need. Staff were there to assist with all queeries . It was very close to all activities, restaurants and shopping in Reykjavik. Tours picked up from their location. We would happily live here if we could!

Modern apartments, friendly helpful staff, coffee and cornflakes provided with room, comfortable beds

For a family of four staying in Reykjavik, it was the perfect hotel. We had a one bedroom with plenty of space. It was close to a park where our kids could play every morning. The kitchen was equipped well so we could cook breakfast every morning and dinner most nights. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. I'd stay there again or recommend to anyone coming to Reykjavik.

Wonderful apartment hotel with an amazing staff. The apartments are so comfy and cozy it feels like a home away from home. The staff is great and the location is perfect for walking to the main street, Harpa, the harbor and many other sites.

I was upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, sitting area and washer and dryer which came in handy. The room was located in the building behind the main building and very spacious and comfy. The staff went above and beyond during my entire stay. They assisted me with booking dinner reservations, excursions, and answering general questions on Icelandic history and culture. They were all very engaging. The rooms are well appointed and you are given a welcome breakfast basket stocked full of tasty items that are more than enough for several meals. I highly recommend this hotel for your Iceland stay. It far exceeded my expectations.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room came with a kitchenette, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. Street parking was a little limited, but garage available nearby. Close to large church Hallgrimskirkja and lots of restaurants and shops. Short walk to waterfront. Would definitely stay again!

Great overall service, just the room cleaning was a bit sloppy

The Reykjavik Residence Hotel is a wonderful property. My family stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms are large, modern and clean. Ours had a small kitchen with a stocked mini bar (and some free items). The staff is fantastic. They'll provide maps, make recommendations, help you schedule taxis... I would highly recommend!

We stayed in a suite - queen bed with full size pull our couch. Our kids said it was the best pullout couch bed ever, and our bed was so comfortable too. The hotel is walking distance to everything downtown and on the harbor. The staff is professional and extremely helpful. Parking in the garage across the street was convenient. The breakfast was free for the kids which was a surprise. Although it may seem expensive at 15 euros per person, when you factor in the free kids breakfast and that there is enough food to pack a lunch as well, it is the best bargain in Iceland. No downsides aside from the price, but everything in Iceland is pretty expensive. This is a much better location than the US hotels which would require driving everywhere or taking taxis which wasn't necessary at this location.
