Reviewed yesterday via mobile We spent a week at the Reykjavik Residence and enjoyed it immensely. The check in desk is at Hverfisgata 60, however there are several properties, so you will have to walk from there after check-in. They are happy to store your luggage while you wait if you are early. We chose the breakfast option and it was excellent. A basket containing deli meats, several kinds of cheeses, butter, hard boiled eggs , jam, skyr, fruit, and chocolates was delivered to the room each afternoon, and a loaf of fresh bread was brought to the door each morning. Coffee , milk and juice are also in the room, the kitchenette is well appointed. Beds were super comfy, and although we had windows open there was no noise issue. Towards the end of our stay we switched breakfast to the restaurant, which was also excellent. Would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit Reykjavik!

Wonderful stay with no complications. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Would say again!

Too much street noise at night and rooms were hot making both factors affecting our sleep.

Perfect quiet location. Very clean. Near nightlife and running routes

Really, we had the most wonderful stay at the Reykjavík Residence Hotel. We really couldn’t have asked for a more luxurious way to unwind from our adventure on the Ring Road. The staff was terrific in helping us setup a driver and childcare during our stay as well as putting both families in adjacent suites on the top floor of the former Prime Minister’s Residence. Our suites were perfectly appointed and extremely comfortable. Having a kitchenette and an eating area was fantastic. We highly recommend both the in-room breakfast (save some goodies for a midday snack) and checking out the hotel restaurant’s breakfast options. Within walking distance to restaurants, nightlife, museums and the water - this hotel was a terrific choice for us.

Property was more than expected. Our studio room was more than enough room and there was even a stove top and kitchen utensils in case you wanted to make dinner

I traveled with three children to Iceland, and found this hotel to be the perfect fit for our family. The staff went out of their way to accomodate us (an early arrival), helped me with planning last minute tours, and offered solid recommendations on local attractions. The room was a family room (with 2 separate spaces) and a small kitchen (which was super helpful). They provided free cereal (corn flakes) and milk, along with a very nice coffee machine which made coffee, tea, and hot chocolate (also provided). The (paid and reserved) shuttle service was on time and friendly - getting us from the airport to the hotel, and then from the hotel to a hotel closer the airport (the night before our flight). Only downside was noisy guests above us two nights (the doors tend to slam shut for the rooms) and the heat (but we found a lot of *hot* buildings and vehicles in Iceland) so we just opened windows for fresh air. Otherwise, if you are traveling as a family, this is really the perfect place for you - walkable to a LOT of things including a small grocery (for that kitchen area), restaurants, and the tour drop off/pick up point for all of the tour companies. The staff was really wonderful - this property won't disappoint.

Great location. You can walk to most parts of the city in about ten minutes and no more than twenty minutes. If you rent a car, you will need to park on the street but there are plenty of spots around the hotel. The rooms are very well kept, the kitchenette is such a nice thing to have.

Loved this hotel! Kitchen in the room was great so we could kick breakfast and lunch to help keep food costs lower. Eating our in Reykjavik is soooo expensive so this was great! My only complaint was that the rooms are not soundproof as advertised. We heard some of the other guests at night. We just put on the exhaust fan from the stove and the white noise was perfect. Finally, and maybe most importantly, the location of this hotel was perfect. It was a two block walk from the main drag with tons of shops and restaurants. It was also convenient to parking by the harbor if you are renting a car and want cheap parking.

Quiet, modern and centrally located. Right by the ocean and super close to center and cathedral. Very nice!

Small apartment two streets from the main streets. Felt like a neighborhood but easy to walk to many places. Very lovely. It was a great home base for us. Laundry option was great.

Beautiful suite in the prime ministers mansion just off the main shopping street. Lovely.

The superior suite was large and spacious enough for 2 or 3 people. The curved 42" TV was a nice surprise, although instructions are needed for its operation. I could only find English T through Youtube, so there was some buffering. The staff were very accommodating, the entire property was spotless, and the breakfast was huge should you choose to include it with your rate. The kitchenette included free milk, juice and cornflakes. The location is very convenient to the main street. to the harbor and downtown. I would suggest packing lightly because you're likely be to hauling your suitcase up or down one flight of interior steps in addition to the front steps of the hotel!

Our stay was very pleasant, room was were cozy and neat.

Excellent location. Close to city center. Great breakfast!

The hotel is in a great location, and the staff is very attentive and accommodating.

Beautiful and spacious hotel close to everything. Staff was very helpful and kind. Got a free upgrade and would definitely recommend and/or stay with them again. Wish their wine bar had extended hours. We were very happy we chose this hotel for our vacation.
