Our stay was very pleasant, room was were cozy and neat.

Excellent location. Close to city center. Great breakfast!

The hotel is in a great location, and the staff is very attentive and accommodating.

Beautiful and spacious hotel close to everything. Staff was very helpful and kind. Got a free upgrade and would definitely recommend and/or stay with them again. Wish their wine bar had extended hours. We were very happy we chose this hotel for our vacation.

Love the area, it’s close to everything. The room is clean, excellent amenities, and spacious.

great apartment and great location for city highlights

Loved it. Very convenient location for shopping, dining and seeing all the sights. Near the great views of the Bay as well.

Hotel was ok. Liked the pillows and the room decor. Light breakfast in room included (milk, juice, cereal, coffee/tea). The shower in my room was terrible. The water drainage was not working so the water flooded the carpets. Hotel staff was helpful and changed the room for us, but we missed out on the Northern Lights that night because I had to complete my shower in two rooms and this took over 1 hour and at the end of it I came down with a runny nose. A little disappointed but it is what it is. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant is very good. I recommend it if it's in your budget. Overall had a positive experience.

Pretty much perfect from start to finish! Check-in/check-out a breeze, loved the central city location, loved the opportunity to get the breakfast basket and fresh bread delivered to the room, loved that we got a free upgrade, loved the kindness of the gentlemen at reception, loved that we got a parking space! Great shower, comfortable bed, good wifi...no complaints. Would not hesitate to suggest this to anyone headed to Reykjavik.

We booked a junior suite, which consisted of two beds, a sofa, a dining area and kitchenette with fridge, microwave and stove. A kitchenette with stove is key in Reykjavik, as food prices are astronomical (dinner for two easily costs $100). I was warned ahead of time by friends not go to restaurants and instead buy all food at Bonus, a discount supermarket which has two branches walking distance from this hotel, and prepare food at the hotel. I was able to buy a week's supply of food for two people for $100, rather than spend that on just one dinner. Only minus was the lack of Tupperware in the kitchenette, but I came prepared and brought my own from home. A major plus of the hotel is the quiet location - rooms are in several buildings near the main reception, and ours was on Lindargata Street, a quiet side street closer to the water. One complaint we heard from other tourists in Reykjavik was the noise coming from bars and drunken rowdy tourists at all hours of the night, but Lindargata has no bars, so we slept in complete silence! The staff at Reykjavik Residence is extremely friendly and helpful, and if you book with breakfast, like we did, you get to spend every morning at Port9, a gorgeous restaurant/bar right next to the hotel. So while we prepared our food from Bonus, we did get a restaurant experience every morning and it was well worth the small additional cost. Breakfast is not buffet, but the portions were more than ample to keep us going until lunch.

Check in was easy. Wifi was very good. We had a wonderful time exploring Reykjavic. We even saw the Northern Lights!!

Staff was friendly and accommodating at check in time. Clean and nicely appointed room. The kitchenette was a great convenience! The location is perfect with most attractions within walking distance. Highly recommend!

First, I made the mistake in regards to my check in date. Forgot that I would fly in the next day. Emailed the hotel upon departing the US told them I would not check in until the 22nd. They quickly responded and said no problem and just come to the hotel upon arrival. Checked into the hotel about 7 AM and was able to laydown. Great after flight and not having to wait until normal check in time. We were given complimentary voucher for breakfast at Port 9, restaurant behind the hotel. Food was excellent and service was great. Room was accommodating for three individuals and the breakfast basket was great. Could not ask for more excellent food and goodies left each day along withfresh bread left on the door. Will book again on the next trip to Iceland.

FANTASTIC! Warm and friendly and super comfortable on a cold, rainy day in Iceland.

The location was perfect and room was beautiful and cozy, and amenity was great! I love this hotel very much!!

The staff at Reykjavik Residence Hotel is the most friendly and helpful staff I've ever encountered. The day I checked in, early in the morning, before check in officially began, they were on top of getting my room ready as soon as possible. And it was. Well before the 3pm check in time. During my stay, I was always greeted with a smile and welcoming word when coming and going and even conversation about my day and the adventures I went on. Then, my flight home was cancelled due to inclement weather back home so I had no choice but to stay another day in Reykjavik. But the hotel was booked up so they didn't have any open rooms. The person on the desk that morning spent a good amount of his time that morning trying to get in touch with some guests who were traveling from my home area, knowing the weather would probably cause their flights to be cancelled too, and within an hour and a half I was checked back into my room. Not only that, he was so helpful that if it happened that I couldn't get back into my room for one more night, he was ready to help me find other accommodations. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but this has been the best experience I've ever had. The staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and clean and very comfortable. It's perfectly located to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Reykjavik. Thank you to the staff for helping make my stay even better!

The hotel is perfectly located near shops and restaurants.

I'll cut to the chase. The hotel is centrally located to everything you'll want to visit in Reykjavik. The broad street it sits on will allow any size charter vehicle to/from tours and airports to pick up and drop off directly at its door. The beds were the greatest I've ever slept on - the staff and amenities were top notch. The only thing I mention that isn't overwhelmingly in the plus column was the particular room we were in had a shower that flooded. There was no quickness that was a fix for the flooding shower short of greatly minimizing the water pressure so we did have to schedule bathroom use around showering because of the flooding. Otherwise, it was a knockout accommodation all the way around.

Friendly, clean, perfect location and the rooms are lovely. We loved this room, the front desk staff, and all the amenities. We went to Iceland to see the Northern Lights but had a rainy week - we are thinking of heading back to try again and if we do, this is the only place we'd consider staying. It's truly perfect!

Our hotel stay was absolutely wonderful, starting from a quick and easy check-in to your helpful, professional and friendly staff. The room was amazing, clean, comfortable and included everything we can ask for. If we had any questions or required any assistance, the staff was there to help us all the way. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. If we ever return to iceland, this would be our only choice. The breakfast was delicious, fresh bread every morning was great. I am a pretty picky person when it comes to the hotels, and I have to say, I was impressed. Thank you for everything. You made our trip truly special.
