Center Hotels Plaza is in a great location for dining, bars & history of Iceland! We were very happy with the staff. The rooms are basic but clean. We did not like the body wash, shampoo/cond. The beds are small but it was ok. My husband didn't like the pillows though. Request a room in the back of the hotel due to the bars closing at 5 AM...The free breakfast is not very good. We paid around 3,500 on Orbitz and met a woman who paid $800 on Travel Zoo for the hotel, air, and two excursions....I recommend the Viking Walking Tour in town and the Settlement Museum. There are many other activities and restaurants.
Much of the lobby was under construction which made access to our room more difficult. The room was actually bigger than I'd expected, and the breakfast bar was very nice. Staff was very accommodating to our needs.
Super close to everything. places to eat and drink right across the street. 1-2 blocks away from bus stop #1 and easily caught all the tours from that location.

it was very central and everything close by restaurants, ice cream shop, bars, bus stop, taxi---they had room with balcony which was a huge plus to see beautiful city views ---staff was super helpful in arranging taxi at the last minute without any extra pricing

Staff, location and breakfast was great but the actual rooms were not and the pictures on their site as super misleading. I thought I was going to be staying at a much nicer place than it ended up being. First room we were given, the bathroom reeked of dead fish, the rest of the room was eh, my college dorm was nicer. They moved us right away to another room which was nice of them and the bathroom was better but the room was still very eh.
Great and convenient place to stay. The only complaint is that the bathroom inside the room has no lock.
