This was a wonderful house for our family to stay at. This is an older home that has been very thoughtfully renovated with a modern feel. The design and decor is beautiful creating a very warm and relaxing environment with some very nice touches. We loved the coffee machine. The kitchen was great for everything we needed. The large dining table was also nice to use. Everyone had space to themselves to spread out. The speaker system worked great. There was one bedroom on the main floor which is where the older person in our family stayed. That worked well because she did not have to use the stairs except to go to shower. The four kids (11, 14, 17, 19) all had lots of space to themselves. With a group of seven, we each had our own bedroom, except the two youngest who stayed together in the room with 2 beds.. The location was in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a playground nearby and the walk to the ocean was quick and easy. There were a number of grocery stores within a very short drive (or walk) and it was an easy walk down to the harbor and a little further but reasonable to walk into downtown. We are glad that we chose this house for our arrival in Iceland as it gave us time to get to know Reykjavik, and space for everyone to settle in. It was a perfect location for some great day trips.
