Motel 6 Reno West

It was fine for a Motel 6. Exactly what you would expect for a Motel 6.

Do not risk ur money on this. It took me almost two hours to get a room. Terrible management. Cannot tell smoking and non smoking for ur booking. So many customers was complaining when I was waiting in the office. Cannot believe a motel can be so terrible.

Noisy, bedding didn't pass the black lite test, didn't have shampoo etc., ice machine out of order, you get the picture!

Clean rooms, basic, no coffee maker, no hair dryer and no refrigerator. Too close to highway , very noisy, difficult to sleep.

pool was not functional outside building old and run down, room was remodeled but beds were old and uncomfortable. About 3 am a fight started outside our room that lasted for about an hour. I would sleep in my car rather than stay again,

It was a great stay here but going through orbitz we got a refund at hotel it was awsome i would deffinatly do it again thanks orbitz

No mini fridge, you can hear people snoring and walking upstairs walls are paper thin no shampoo hell I didn’t even have a single towel in the room. Beds are incomfortable I’m very disappointed in the stay. No free WiFi either which for me wasn’t a big deal but I mean hell even grocery stores and cafes do. Your next to the freeway so you it’s just plain loud. Staff is nice I guess it’s not their fault they don’t make the rules. They were all very nice.

I had a good stay (a week). Location was convenient to what I wanted to see and do in Reno, and avoided the casinos (which I wasn't interested in, avoiding gaming fees and taxes added to the room charge). Easy on and off the interstate, which made it a little noisy at night but not excessively so. The one hassle I had was the electronic room key didn't work and I ended up having to have it "recharged" every day. I would recommend this to anyone interested in seeing Reno without the casinos.

Room keys failed 3 times. Cleaning staff can't seem to clean. Room wasn't ready for check in even tho I got there we'll after check in time. Staff was like , oh well sorry but can't help about any of that. C'mon now, you could have at least offered a little setting for my troubles but nope, oh well.

Cheap and adequate, but nothing to get excited about. A little hard to find (you'll need some type of navigation aid).

It was just ok. The room was clean the shower worked. Freeway noise.

Rate from Orbitz reservation was not honored when I arrived. Upon check in, hotel staff gave us the impression some sketchy people hung out at this hotel when they verbally ran through all of the hotel policies.

Despite some of the horror reviews, I decided to give this motel a try. It was the cheapest option for the night I stayed. As of December 2016 at least, the property seems to be fully renovated, the staff was VERY friendly, the non-smoking room I stayed was CLEAN, ODOR-FREE, pleasantly painted, AC/heater doesn't smell moldy, and the bed was comfortable. The furniture all seems new. It doesn't have a fridge, a hairdryer, and only comes with 2 bars of soap, but that's fine with me. I do agree with some of the reviews that the room is fairly compact, it's roomy enough for a single queen-sized bed, but probably too small for two beds. Also, as long as you are not in the building (they have several buildings) directly next to the highway, the noise is not too bad. I brought earplugs but ended up not using them.
