It was OK for travelers on a tight budget, but a lot of wear and tear on it. Still, it was cheap and clean enough.

Dump.....not as photos shown.....dirty bed that slept in, looks like it had more than bed bugs lived in, mold in shower no tube. requesting full refund watched out for pre check in using credit card trick paper receipt out of paper can I swipe your card again billed 2x's....fulltime residents scary.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean but dated. Fairly quiet for being on a busy street. Had a microwave and mini fridg. Shower had great water pressure. Negatives- the plug in air freshener was very overwhelming and gave me a headache. Had to put put it outside the room and ran the bathroom fan for a while.

Great staff rooms need updated. Room was clean just old. Staff upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge. Really enjoyed our stay. Room is walking distance to the strip.

Staff was good, when we checked in the light bulbs were all out they were prompt in replacing them. The quality of tenants was terrible. I think this hotel rents out weekly or monthly rooms. We didn't feel safe at all

holiday weekend, great rates. helpful customer service

Got this room for the bbq rib cookoff in sparks. Cheap room and its nothing fancy. But it was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early. 10 min walk to major hotels. I would go back.

I loved my stay! The bed was soooo comfortable. The staff that I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Wonderful location.

Friendly, attentive staff. Acceptable amenities for the price. Plenty of parking. Walking distance to downtown. Only downside really was the cigarette smell from previous occupants of this non-smoking room.

there is no one on the front desk even when you call always answering machine when you leave a message they dont call back....i only stayed for 1 night and i'm trying to call to cancel the 2 days or maybe credit back atleast a day but no answer or call back....

It was in a cluster of similar motels, and was close to all of the facilities which I was accessing. I walked from Amtrak, and walked to express buses (5-6 blocks).

this place was like a residence motel. Sketchy people walking around at all hours. GROSS

The Desert Rose is a basic roadside motel and serves as a fine base for staying in Reno for several days. Easy to get to from the Casino's, no hassle, clean-enough rooms and nice staff. In all, fine value for the money. I would start to get stir crazy staying here more than 3 days, but for a long weekend it's good.

upon arrival, staff could not find reservation. said he could not help us. we called booking agent, they talked to him, we finally got our room after some time.[...]

It was within walking distance to the main Virginia St strip of nicer places, but it was a motel straight out of the 60s or 70s. Definitely did not feel like the safest of places. For like 20 bucks more or even 30 bucks more, I would've rather stayed at a nicer place. It was very old and run down looking inside the room and out.

i never take shampoo or lotion with me,because there is always some in the rooms,so i had to go without ,and there was no coffee in the lobby or pots in the rooms. but when we got there, their prices were less than you charged me.you charged my credit card $333.40 and their price was $251.90.I would like to get the difference back please.

I paid for a regular room but was upgraded to a jacuzzi suite as all the other rooms were taken! The front desk guy didn't seem to like this - too bad. The room decor was seriously dated but so cool! Looked straight out of the 1970's - I could picture this room in the movie "Casino". But it was GIGANTIC and the bed was ENORMOUS. The jacuzzi was a little worn looking but it worked so hey, cool! And there was a little refrigerator & microwave. Plus TWO tv's - gigantic analogs that got about NINTY channels. It was very quiet at night as well. The worst part was the carpet was FILTHY and destroyed a pair of my socks. Fun time though!

When I arrived at the hotel with my daughters the receptionist informed me that they were overbooked and they did not have a two bed non smoking room as I requested and which I had paid for through [...]. My choices were a smoking room which the person in front of me had declined and the receptionist said was horrible or a room with one king bed and a couch. I have a double bed at home and this king bed was far smaller than my double. My daughter ended up sleeping on a sticky fake leather couch. The room is old and the bed is lopsided and small. The sheets are old. The room itself was clean, but old. I will make every effort to make my reservations earlier and stay at The Sands or Circus Circus (they were full this time so I chose this instead, pretty disappointing).

Staff was very accomodating on requests for extra pillows and microwave. Room was somewhat small but very clean... Did smell like cleaning products when we first got there, had to let room air out. Bedding was warm and mattresses were very comfortable especially given that all in our group have bad backs. Some scummy characters in the area and loud noises but it seemed to quiet down by around 10-11pm.

It was good we got a room after quit a wait at the front desk. While waiting we over heard how much cheaper the customers room was compared to our ORBITZ price. Really disappointed when explained that orbitz charges more than if we made the reservation ourselves. The walk to the strip is so short.
