This is about the 6th time Ive stayed at the Pinnacle. The staff are great. The hotel is clean. The restaurant has good food. The location is great + very walkable. The sea ferry to downtown/city center is a quick 10min walk away. I had my dog with me for the first time & he was as welcomed as I was.

The room is so spacious and they are pet friendly which is exactly what we needed. The area is good for walking a dog around outside. I very much enjoyed the breakfasts, hot food too. I'd like a waffle machine then it would perfect. I have stayed previously, the inside was remodeled and made more updated. I liked the changes all expect not having a tub anymore. But it was a really nice shower. I will be back and probably with my dog.

The check in was okay, but the hotel takes an additional $100 “hold for incidentals” at check in that they promise to release at check out. We all know it can take up to 10 business days for a bank to release “held” funds, so a traveler must make sure to have an extra $100 available that won’t be necessary during their trip if staying here. This practice is antiquated. “Incidentals?” There are no phones in the rooms, no mini bars, no room service, and barely enough towels in these budget hotels. But my $115 stay is now, in essence, going to be a $215 stay for at least the next few days. Am I going to eat too much breakfast? Use too much TP? This ridiculous “incidentals” hold practice needs to end. Otherwise, the hotel is fine.

Room was clean and satisfactory. However, hotel staff came knocking on my door at 10:30pm with what appeared to be coffee supplies I didn’t order, and my credit card was charged $14 at 2am in the morning. Had to insist that the front desk clerk credit my card $14 and the $100 incidental fee I wasn’t suppose to be charged before I left the property. Still waiting confirmation that the credit transaction has gone through.

This property advertised having an indoor pool, and I called ahead to ensure they had one before I took my kids and their friend to this hotel. When we got here we found out the pool was closed. Had I know that, I would have booked a different hotel.
