Having travelled extensively all my life, in business and family vacations to various destinations around the world, this was my third year consecutively to the Hilton RAK. Why is this you may ask, yes its a luxury hotel in a beautiful location, fantastic beaches and villas with excellent restaurants and facility's but then many other places offer this around the world. The difference at the Hilton RAK is the staff. Their attention to detail and determination to make your vacation the best they can is exemplary. I managed to speak with Tamer Mansour who is the director of operations at the hotel during my stay and his enthusiasm for the new villas and restaurant being built was totally infectious, thanks Tamer, to you and all your staff, but I do feel the following deserve special mention. Dhiraj, Rony and Subhas at the Sol Bar Yonas and Christi at the Rio Beach Bar Marinelle and Sameh in reception Richard, Rubel, Jerry and Bjaya; Concierge Ayman, Azzedine and Pradeep in Piaceri Da Gustare Romesh at poolside Bibek, Earge and Kim in Pura Vida Moshey and Vismi in the Maarid Rajdev and Tek in housekeeping and last but not least, Julia Ehmann on the front desk, whose professionaliism and diligence is only matched by the warmness of her welcome Thanks again Tamer, cant wait to see you next year!
Hotel is just perfect for a relaxing stay. Huge resort, right on the beach.Beach villas are worth the extra as you get a balcony door literally opening onto the beach. Drinks and meals are expensive so worth getting the packages. Watersport also expensive ...but as the sales guys said "this is the UAE and this is the Hilton!"
We have just returned from a lovely 11 night stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds beach and pool areas are really stunning and with all the recent renovations this hotel has undergone it really is an impressive place. The service from the staff is outstanding- nothing is too much trouble and always with a smiling face to help. Sameh Gomaa (assistant chief concierge) should have a special mention he was very helpful and always attentive during our stay. Our room cleaning was also excellent and spotless - with extra effort like rose petals on our bed one evening etc.. it just made it a very lovely experience. The hotel gym looked very good although we wanted to use it both my husband and myself had a winter virus and didn't really feel well enough or germ free enough to use it. The hotel itself is very well maintained with no real wear and tear showing - we stayed here for a mini break over 8 years ago and the hotel has certainly not started to look tired in any of the areas we went into, it is constantly being maintained to a high standard. The hotel room was just lovely with a great view of the ocean and pool/beach. We stayed half board and brought in our own drink from duty free and got mixers from a local shop down the road. We are not big drinkers which is a bonus considering the cost of not only the alcoholic drinks but also soft drinks in the hotel-even coffee was £5 per cup. This was the only real negative to the hotel was the shocking cost of drinks but we did feel to go all inclusive would be a mistake for us as we dont generally drink enough to warrant the upgrade. The buffet was nice but glad we had the option to sit outside as inside to us was a bit like a canteen. We didn't go into the Brazilian or Italian restaurants during our stay due to it being Xmas and New Year and the buffet restaurants amply catered very well for this, plus we went into Dubai for two days and ate out. We would try both restaurants if we consider going back another time.I would say the hotel is really special but the food choices and drink costs are the two elements that let it down slightly. we didn't feel the costs were really necessary to be that high even staying in a 5 star resort. Still there are shops and supermarkets down the road if needed. We hired a car for 4 days so got around to see RAK, Dubai and surrounding areas. Plus topped up on provisions in our hotel room. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family- it really is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. ( and we are even considering going back this Xmas on a two centre holiday with Dubai City).
One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in the staff and cleanliness of the hotel made our stay really enjoyable we stayed on half board and breakfast was superb, we are not big drinkers so purchased when we required, many different options in the buffet restaurant each evening. A couple of little problems were soon sorted out and the manager made sure that our stay was enjoyable. We did not attend the gala dinner but were able to watch the festivities from our room, we used both the spa and the on sight hairdressers, the hotel run a shuttle bus to the 3 malls and it was nice to see some of the RAK city. The heated swimming pool was like a baby’s bath and was lovely after a day on the beach plenty of sun beds and comfortable ones at that We will certainly be back to stay in this hotel and have recommended it to friends and family Allyson Ks
The staff at the hotel goes beyond their limits to make sure you have a good stay. We stayed there for 14 days for new years and christmas and we and our two children loved it. The hotel had a special guest visit on christmas eve and even had gifts for all children. The food was good and specially the New Years Eve event was outstanding. The pools were all clean and nice, the beach was good too and we and our two small girls had a very good stay.
Been to Hilton Ras Al Khaimah from Dec 24-29 wth 2 kids [7,3]. It was very good resort for families. They were 2 restaurants [Italian and Brazilian] apart from normal buffet restaurant. We tried Italian which was very good. The normal buffet restaurant had good options too [especially for kids]. The hotel staff were outstanding. Always ready to help. We went with All inclusive option. We had lots of options to choose from. Only issue was wifi connectivity. It keeps dropping. Kids club was okay but needed more physical activities to keep kids motivated. The carpets were a bit old. They need to be changed to get a new look. This hotel has a private beach which was very good. I strongly recommend this resort anyone with families. Its not far from Dubai. [1.5 hours drive]
It's a place we felt really good. We stayed in a room of a beach villa, freshly renovated, clean, overlooking the sea. Nobody ever happened to find beach beds, and the beach staff was very careful. The beach bar was very well supplied with good food and good wine. There were things we did not like, which is why we only gave four stars. On the penultimate day we have filled in a form in which we said that we have nothing to complain to the hotel. After that we started to have problems: fewer shower towels were brought to us, and the phone call to fill the missing was no longer honored; we have been charged unjustifiably for a consumption at the last dinner; I paid both the New Year's Eve dinner and the hotel dinner, although we did not have any prepaid in the package but we paid for the reception when we arrived. I think the receptionists are poorly trained, having the unintended tendency to fool the client not to help him. It's a place to come back and I recommend it.
High quality hotel; excellent facilities; excellent food; lovely private beach. All inclusive package recommended. Please be aware that it is situated around a 90 minute drive from Dubai. We traveled into Dubai via taxi on two occasions during our stay and, as we're not shoppers, this was enough for us but it may not suit others.
Well were should I start. 3 years in a row to this resort. That should say enough. By entering the hotel we are already welcomed and recognized by Richard the concierge. My sons love Richard. He is kind and knows what the boys like the most. Besides Richard the whole staff and management is very kind and aiming to serve. The resort is amazing. Great for families. You never feel it is crowded even at the pools. The hotel is very luxurious. There is enough to do for the kids and there are enough friends to play with from all over the world. If needed the staff will move you over the huge premises with a card. Do not forget to tip the staff.
Absolutely amazing location, service and quality. There was nothing that couldn’t be done. Would reccommend to anyone who wants the perfect holiday because it doesn’t get any better than this. Thanks Hilton!
