Am currently staying at the Hilton.as a single woman traveller of older years I was a little apprehensive about my trip.but I needn’t have worried the staff have gone out of their way to make me feel so welcome.cant thank them all enough.
Fabulously relaxing holiday. Fantastic service . All the staff so friendly. Great service all day from the staff at the sunset bar by the pool. Had salads and fresh watermelons bought to us everyday by Saqib. Lovely friendly helpful chap. Our room was kept immaculate during our stay by Johir. Towel origami on the bed each day. The hotel is miles from anything but that didn’t bother us but might if you like to go out and wander of an evening. We hope to return. .
We went to the hotel to celebrate our marriage anniversary and we got more than we expected. Everything was exquisite from the entrance,to the staff who handled our booking Ms. Lorele, to the room that was next to the pool and the beach and the dinning experience at the Brazilian restaurant and the breakfast. Our Anniversary became the most memorable.
The Hilton Ras Al Khaimah resort & spa hotel is very big and has everything a tourist needs. I can't say anything bad about the room and the cleanliness there. That was as it should be. I just have a remark about the Mareed restaurant. Not about the food on offer; there's something for everyone. But I would appreciate it when the waiters would clean up properly after diners left the table. Lots of them have little children and most of them play with their food, leaving greasy spots on the table or seat. We often noticed the staff only emptied the table, put on new covers but did not clean up table or seat. Just imagine having to sit there! For the rest, not complaints. We enjoyed the hotel and were always treated with friendliness.
Virgin Holidays struck off my list and Hilton Hotels struck off my list. I'll attempt to give a balanced view of my holiday experience and let you come to your own conclusions. We did have an enjoyable holiday and the kids loved it, however, we are quite well travelled and have stayed in lots of hotels in Dubai. We felt somewhat mislead into thinking this was a Dubai hotel, when Ras Al Kaminah is actually in a different emirate. It is 1.5 hours north of Dubai and so if you have any intent of visiting Dubai, you are looking at a 2 hour journey to get there. It does elude to this on website, but we were just not meticulous enough in checking its location, so hands up to that. Virginholidays also describe it having 9 restaurants. Maybe if you include the ice cream van and coffee bar that serve the same bar snacks. There is ONE all inclusive/full board buffet style restaurant plus TWO A La Carte restaurants that you have to pay a supplementary fee to use. The buffet was really good and had a lot of variety, the A La Cartes, were also really nice, but ended up paying about an extra £100 per meal you have there (2 adults 2 kids) We went half board and not sure if that was better than going all inclusive. It meant we had to buy our drinks which were crazy prices, a can of coke or Sprite £5, a pint of beer £10, Gin and tonic = £10 for the gin and £5 for a can of tonic. The cocktails were around £12 and were lacking in quality. If you did go all inclusive you have limited cocktails you can have, made with spirits whose names I've never seen before and sodas and soft drinks were through the tap. We don't mind paying high prices for drinks, but this just looked like a con as All inclusive were not offered the same as paying guests, maybe should be called 'Part' inclusive. Night time there wasn't much in the way of entertainment. The only entertainment was at the Brazilian A la Carte restaurant, so unless you were there it was pretty quiet. There were a few bars were kids were welcome and you could have a drink, but it felt like it was deliberate to not have entertainment in the more general areas, that might encourage 'All inclusive' patrons to stay out and drink more free drinks? The staff in the hotel were amazing and couldn't do more to help and assist, really polite and very courteous, the staff really are a credit and without them, I'm not sure this place would have a lot to shout about. Hilton Honors points – we were refused any loyalty points for staying in this hotel, apparently, we should have given our membership number to Virgin Holidays. I have loyalty memberships with several hotels, that are booked through third parties and always I am given loyalty points. However, I won't be needing them anymore. We sent requests to the hotel concierge about 2 weeks before asking about childcare facilities and kids clubs. We got no response. We reminded them again when we arrived and still got no response. We eventually got a response containing details on the day after we arrived home. The hotel itself wasn't too bad, a bit tired in places, but generally laid out very well, very well maintained and always very clean and tidy. It caters for kids quite well with lots of pools, recreation space and amazing beach. For its price bracket, the property ticks the box, but 5 stars is really stretching it. To conclude, it looks to me like Virgin sell this hotel for far more than they pay for it and try to dress it up better than it is. Hilton look like they have a strategy to that keeps costs at a minimum for 'Part' inclusive guests, to be paid for by guests stung by their high prices. Despite an OK holiday, I do feel to being slightly mislead.
We first booked to go here Easter 2017. We only booked for a week but loved it so much we booked to go again in the Summer whilst we were there. The first time we booked with Virgin with the standard all inclusive. However we treated ourselves for the summer with the platinum. For a two week stay this was well worth it - additional restaurants and drinks made it extra special. What makes this resort though is the staff. From the beach bar, to housekeeping, to reception, to the restaurants, the service really is first class. We, as a family of 4, absolutely loved it, and we will be bakc again!
This hotel is located the Mairid district of RAK and is it absolutely massive. I’m not keen on big hotels but the reviews were good so we thought we’d give it a try. Unfortunately it’s not for us. Saving sun loungers and queuing for a buffet breakfast is far too stressful for us. Check-in was straightforward. Unfortunately our room was not ready so we went to the Sunset Pool Bar for lunch. It was absolutely terrible. 400 aed for 2 chicken burgers and 2 kids fingers which were all bland and sloppy. Awful. We booked a beach villa which took us away from the main body of the hotel. We had villa 735 which was clean and comfortable with direct access to the beach. There were two queen beds, a small table and chairs and a well equipped bathroom with shower and separate bath. There was also tea and coffee making facilities. Unfortunately however sun loungers are not reserved for the villa so there were other people using the area in front of our villa. By 8am people had already put towels and belongings on the loungers they wanted so we ended up having to do the same to have any chance of having a space near our villa. This kind of holidaying is not for us. Aside from the sunset pool, the food was not too bad. Food in Sol was fine and a lovely spot to watch the sun set. The Italian place was very good and the Friday evening buffet at the Brazilian was very good too. All came to around 400 aed for 2 adult, 2 kids main meals and drinks. Breakfast buffet was standard Hilton and bit hit and miss. Egg chef couldn’t cope with more than 1 order at a time. Terrible coffee. Staff need some barista training. They tried really hard to please our coffee needs but it actually got worse not better. Staff are friendly and very willing. Cleaners seemed to take great pride in their work and often asked if things were ok or can they do anything else. On the whole it was a standard Hilton with very little UAE-magic. The staff make this place welcoming. It’s a Hilton, nothing more, nothing less.
Hotel is amazing and great for families. 1.5 hours from Dubai but, worth the journey. The quality of the hotel is seen on arrival. The concept of the pools just great for kids and families with lots of shades. There are Over 16 year old areas and older kids areas. The beach is beautiful as is the sea. The greatness about this hotel is space. You are not on top of others with so, many areas to find a good spot. The mini football pitch kept the kids occupied and the kids clubs also very good as is the gym over looking the beach. The spa also very good i was told as i no need to use it. The staff made our holiday as they are all very happy to help and will not allow you to lift a finger. Just Relax and enjoy!! The hotel may look great with great facilities. However the other important factor for me are the people that work there. My expectations for customer service are high as this what makes the holiday we have worked hard for. I have to say all the staff were great and did not disappoint which is a compliment for how the hotel is managed A few stars below but, overall everybody we met were excellent. Mido: the bar manager was very good. Consistently observant and attentive to the guest. Did not leave you waiting and knew exactly where you were located around the Pool. Made an Excellent Exotic Pina Colada. Said: Towel distributor was a real star.Worked hard all day making sure the guest were comfortable. He could have stayed in his hut and handed out towels. But, no he was always looking to see if everybody was OK and kept smiling. Thank you Said from Morocco. Ninghor: From Hose keeping who always made sure our room was clean and fresh. Faruk and Restaurant staff: Great work all. If i have any light negatives. - Beach and Pool toilets are far away - The women beach Hotel was consistently flooded which means not great to go in with just sandals on or no shoes at all. Also, water on the floor means not hygienic. Men's beach toilet next door always clean and drive though! - Alcoholic Drinks very expensive as expected in the UAE so, i would recommend all inclusive package.
We’ve just returned from a 10 day stay at this Hilton hotel. Wow what an amazing trip! It was our first time in Dubai, it’s roughly an hour and half’s transfer from Dubai airport. The staff can’t do enough to help you, they want to make every aspect of your stay the best! We travelled with our 2 boys and they always made a special fuss of them! We stayed in a beach villa which was just stunning! The view is amazing, the beach is one of the best we’ve been too, beautiful white sand. Hotel in general is super clean. Very little evening entertainment we found, just 2 lovely ladies singing. Food was of a fab quality although I do feel the kids section needs work in particular! It’s very limited. All round a perfect stay! We have made truly amazing memories here! Thank you all!
Desperately wanted a few days of warmth - which is what we got. Lovely hotel, food, beach and hospitality. We were half board and although the hotel tried to tempt us to all inclusive, we preferred to pay for our drinks ourselves. Only criticism was there was nothing for us outside the hotel and therefore four days was enough for us.
