Third time here in the last year. Great place, roomy, and beautiful surroundings. Nice golf course nearby. Remember to stock up on food, town is about 15 minutes away. Just a great get-away!

Definitely would stay again

Absolutely stay here! But just be aware .. it is kinda far from things and we weren’t able to Uber places like we had planned. Car is a necessity for this place. Other than that little issue, our stay was PERFECT. We loved the condo and how it had all the amenities, even a stove and laundry in the room. So clutch! Highly recommend! Very clean!

We stayed a few times at the property, both in 1Bdrm and 2Bdrm units. SD Country Estates is an older time-share property, which means that units are quite generous in size, very nice but show their age (mostly on the appliance and fixtures side). However, there are extremely clean, well-equipped and maintained, and very welcoming. Amenities are fine, the pool small but pleasant and the place quiet and relaxing. It is not easy to find (not a good idea to come after dark), quite far from the town and any shopping, and checkin is dependent on the person on duty. Overall, it’s probably the best time-share type of property we ever stayed in.

A great place for a vacation, but not for work. We truly enjoyed the stay with a spacious unit, lovely surrounding and various resort activities. However, we had to take a few video calls for work and the connection was unbearable, even when upgrading to premium (0.5mbit basic vs. 3mbit premium). Out part of the resort had no cellular connection, thus using a phone hotspot wasn't an alternative. Highly recommend, if your stay does not require a stable and decent internet connection.

Pleasant getaway in the country

I was looking for a solo getaway and was not disappointed. I enjoyed the being away in the country, yet close enough for things that I needed. The unit itself was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen appliances, while a bit outdated, were functional. I enjoyed the fireplace, the provided grill and access to the pool and tennis courts. The bed was comfortable. The heating/cooling system worked well, as did the cable and WiFi. I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful!

Amazing facility...the condo was perfect! Staff extremely accommodating. Beautiful landscaping, an abundance of tennis courts and golf just a mile away (great course). Although it takes about 15 minutes to get to town, if you want to dine closer San Vincente Golf course offers great food. Only suggestions: the TV in the bedroom is WAY too small and it would be nice if the shower head had more pressure. Also, if cooking, they only have stainless steel pans (no non-stick), which are not the best for standard cooking practices.

Great facility but not wheelchair friendly

Large rooms. Beautifully landscaped facility. Nice amenities (we used pool, tennis courts and basketball courts). Close to great hiking and beautiful wineries. It is a part of a nice neighborhood and community. It is an hour to the beaches. It is hilly and on a slope. Not wheelchair friendly-lots of stairs and steep inclines. Ours was not handicap room-bathroom posed challenges.

We had a nice stay for three nights. I was a bit surprised I had to pay for the coffee! For a three night stay they only do one bag for three days. Additional bags $1.50 😳

Great getaway in the country

Very nice stay. Huge room (we had the 1BR suite), impeccably clean, full kitchen for cooking. Gorgeous grounds and nice amenities. Easy check-in. Great hiking nearby - in fact you can walk directly from your room to trails. Good food available in Ramona.

Comfortable stay for a family

Very nice facility and rooms are spread out so you don’t really hear the neighbors. Rooms are equipped with all the utilities you would need.

Awesome Stay

We arrived after 6pm which made us stop down the street to San Vincente Resort to pick up our room keys. Wasn’t bad, but luckily we called ahead to say we would need a late check in otherwise we wouldn’t have known. Driving to our condo at night was very hard to see the sign saying the address, really needs a light. After driving for 7+ hours and not being able to see the sign was frustrating. After a couple pass bus and now counting parking lots compared to the map we found our spot. The 2 bedroom condo was amazing. Bedrooms were huge, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living & dining rooms. If you drink coffee they give you 1 at no charge (filter with coffee inside) extra coffee is $1.25/filter. We had our own. Freezer has an ice maker, it’s off so you have to turn it on. They have a small selection of creams, equal, auger & tea. They have all the supplies, plates, pots, silverware and cooking utensils. Electric BBQ on balcony. Contactless service, just call house keeping and they will leave outside door on a table next to the door. Great overall stay. Amenities swimming pool (reserved times during Covid), spa closed, gym times available, basketball, racquetball & tennis.

This is a really nice property with lots of trees and a nice walkway around the property to walk. The location was great and the room was clean and had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this place and book again... as long as the pool was open. 😉 Unfortunately the only downfall was that all pools and amenities were not open due to Covid 19 restrictions.
