We saw Billie Eilish at the Lenovo center and walked from the hotel. It’s an easy flat walk and you don’t have to deal with parking! Hotel lobby and outside is a little worn down, but the room was clean and smelled fresh. All staff we interacted with were professional and enthusiastic. We will definitely stay here the next time we see a concert in this area!

Asked for a King Accessible room and got a second floor Double Queen. Key cards didn’t work initially and had to go all the way back down to the desk to have them reprogrammed. Corridors are dingy and the plastic corner protectors are falling off the walls. Inside the room there was a convulsing roach that I named Rodney and bits of his friends all over the bathroom (leg in the soap-dish? They thought of EVERYTHING!). Shower head was weird and very low pressure. Towels had holes in them and I felt the need to shake them all out and keep them in the dry cleaning bag just in case Rodney had an intact cousin. Bed seemed clean but it was rock hard and the room had an overall “dirty” vibe to it. Like, you leave the hotel and feel like you need a shower and to immediately decontaminate everything you brought with you before you go back into your house.

Less than impressed

The property could benefit from regular maintenance and renovations. Dingy halls, walls, drop ceiling could all be improved. The breakfast was lacking in terms of offerings and presentation. The side door into the hotel had a screw in it, and you didn't need your room key to enter, rendering any security null and void, anyone could walk into this place at any time. Granted its a 2 star property, I should have known better. Rooms were clean, but they need to lose the carpeting.

This short impromptu staycation me and my husband took was convenient to the area of downtown. This is not a modern hotel in terms of decor. If you want a cheap place to stay that’s convenient to get to downtown Raleigh, stay here. The pool looks nice. :) DISCLAIMER! This was My experience!! They claim that their property is 100% smoke free, but I saw people smoking on the property. The room we were in also smelled like smoke. When we pulled up to the hotel, there was an ambulance taking out a guest because of a “medical” emergency This happened again the next morning This hotel seems to have a lot of “medical” emergencies. . . Families live at this hotel just so you are aware like we were not until we got to check in. This was not a problem for us for our situation. Its close to a college to you can watch games if they are on! Whhoooo Lots of art museums are around too! Good eats! Too many to choose from! We used Uber eats a few times while we were there. They were A1. The breakfast is complementary. Its basically the same thing every day a combination of watery eggs, some type of patty meat, ready-made pancakes and sometimes grits oh and some canned fruit mix option. FREE!! They have apple juice or orange juice or coffee or water. Also FREE! We did have a quiet and restful stay. The place was fairly clean and they respected the do not disturb sign. Okay byyyiie
