My wife and I stayed in Raleigh for 1 night to explore downtown and not have to drive an hour back home. This Holiday Inn couldn't have been more perfect. The hotel has recently been updated. everything was fresh and clean. Nice bedding, the bathroom was large by economy hotel standards, Keurig coffee maker in the room, and the Wifi was free and fast. All of the staff we encountered were exceptionally helpful and friendly. One additional perk, We paid extra to get breakfast included in our stay. My expectation was that we would get the standard continental spread. Boy was I wrong. The breakfast was made to order. I had 2 eggs (really 3) Sausage, large helping of potatoes, toast and coffee. It was excellent!!! Everyone at breakfast received fresh, made to order, awesome breakfast. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if needed. Lots of restaurants close by. To get down town is about a 10 minute, $8. Uber ride. If you feel the need for shopping, Crabtree valley mall is directly across the street. If you are looking for a hotel in this area, this is the one. Book it.
It was a comfortable stay, with no noise complaints. Nothing spectacular, but it met all our needs. I'd definitely stay there again. Never made it to breakfast or the restaurant downstairs, but other guests spoke highly of it.
I was in Raleigh for work, I stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff was very nice. My room was clean, nice size bed and comfortable. I liked their breakfast a lot, very good. I think the only small issue was that the next morning they were having some IT issue, so I didn't not get a print out of my receipt, but they informed me they would send it to my email. But this was not a major issue, lots of hotel and work places have IT issues at times.
The hotel is new, and while I am not a fan of the new style minimalist design, it is clean and the staff is reasonably polite. The room I stayed in was nice too. However, I had to be up early, and I hit the shower at 430 am - and ran out of hot water in a few minutes! Never had that happen in a hotel, and certainly not at an off time like 430 am. I can't imagine what the hot water situation was at say 7 or 8. Maybe I should give this a 4, but I"m going with a 3. I needed more hot this am!
The friendly staff did not have our keys ready on arrival as promised (boo!), but they did their best to check us in as quickly as their process allowed. The hotel has two elevators. Our room was large and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and had non-feather pillow options--great for allergy sufferers! There were two power outlets on each nightstand lamp--excellent for charging phones and devices at bedside. The room had a mini fridge and coffeemaker, and there was an iron and ironing board in the closet. The bathroom had a shower/tub combo with no mold--great job, housekeeping! The water pressure was decent and the hot water stayed hot. The towels were nice and plenty were provided. A multi-speed hair dryer hung on the back of the door. The free, secured WiFi was painfully slow. In this modern age, hotels need to provide fast, reliable WiFi for all of their guests. The hotel has a large, free, open-air parking lot. I would have given five stars, but the poor WiFi gets the bad mark. Insufficient WiFi is unacceptable for those who work on the road. If the hotel can fix their WiFi issues so that it's strong and reliable in all rooms, I'd happily stay again.
The hotel is nice and clean. The service was very good also. The restaurant could use a cook. The shepherds pie was greasy and over cooked. The onion rings were greasy and cold. I tried a chicken wing from another persons plate and it was not crispy or flavorful.
Well on the plus side, it's close to a lively shopping/entertainment mall with numerous dining options; reasonably weekday price, new, clean, well lit, friendly staff, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast, beautifully appointed rooms, welcoming lobby, quaint restaurant layout and aesthetics. And on the negative side: traffic, did I say traffic. Will stay again. Looking forward to all but the traffic.
Lauren at the front desk was very friendly, professional and helpful. We had another room at another chain that didn't work out. Lauren managed our checkin, provided us a great room, and gave us lots of local tips for our stay in town. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back at Raleigh.
Last year around September, we passed by this hotel which was under construction. When deciding to go to Raleigh for an "in-state staycation", we decided to give this Holiday Inn a try. Located right off of the beltline, this hotel is conveniently located near the Crabtree Valley Mall. We went up a couple of exits to find some good spots to eat at. Nicole and the other agent (can't remember her name) were super-friendly. The room was clean and I loved that the beds have soft and firm pillows. The hotel is done exceptionally well. You can tell it's been renovated- money well spent in my opinion! They do have a restaurant on site, but I didn't eat there. This hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast. Very pleasant stay. Should I decide to do another "in-state staycation" and I'm traveling to Raleigh, I will stay here.
Stayed here on our way home from OBX. Had a great time. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Location is right across the road from the Crabtree Valley Mall which was a lot of fun. Great dining and shopping. Would recommend this location
