They had for me a large comfortable room , it was a quiet one too.

The location is perfecto in the north of Quito a 15 minutes the place históric in front of the quicentro shoping, the room is good, clean, the personal is exelent.

This is an old hotel but very good located and very friendly staff

For the most part this was a great place to stay. Having a travel agency at the front of the hotel proved very benificial. They got me booked for a flight and a couple of tours at Puerto Lopez. The only bad part was when I was checkin out. When ordering breakfast the first morning off the regular menu, the restraunt manager told me that the breakfast buffet was included in my package. They charged me for all breakfasts I had there, and when I told them what the manager had said, they said I could tell them anything I wanted because I did not get the mans name. I concidered that calling me a liar, and I left there with a very bad taste in mouth!

Good location, good service in the front desk but environment in the bar is not good

I will start with the positive first : The best thing for us was the location of the hotel, also the staff was courteous most of the time. The negative: The hotel has a night club or banquet room that plays very loud music until very late at nigh, you can hear it as if the party was in your own room, the overall appearance of room was a worn out and ina bad need of repair and refurbishment.

Room was large, divided in two, nice; I could nap and my wife could sit on the couch - this was more like a small suite than a room. Food was fair, nothing great, and a bit overpriced. Location was great! Right in the middle of the financial district, across the street from one giant mall, 2 blocks from another; easy walk to dozens of restaurants and businesses, across the street from a park. Location, location, location! Staff were always accommodating and spoke English well. I had a document e-mailed to me that I needed to have printed, affix my signature, have scanned, and e-mail again. They helped me and it was a job done easily in minutes. Cleanliness was terrific. Bathroom shower was adequate, could have been better; bed was only fair for comfort, but we slept well. They arranged pick up for us from the (new) Quito Airport (on the day of the airport opening, no less!), gave good dinner recommendations and made reservations. I would return.

The hotel was nice enough and the room was nice. The staff was less than responsive, however. Room service never answered the phone and just passed us around because we spoke English. We finally got dressed and went down to the dining room, where we had overpriced and not very good food.

The hotel was excellent, so helpful, friendly. Beautiful lobby! Would strongly recommend it! Close to food places and delicious bakery too! :)

Overall, not bad for the price at this location, which is near a big shopping mall and a park. However, there were a few issues. The ac didn't really work. Luckily the climate is moderate. The front desk staff took my passport and my daughter's drivers license to a back room, apparently to scan them. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom nice, and there was plenty of space.

The room was super clean and spacious. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The location was great. I'd stay there again.

this place is great across from a huge park you will love it .although the the casino is closed

We had booked a two room suite. at check-in, my daughter who lives in Quito wanted to stay in our room with us because our flight left very early the next morning. The hotel would NOT let her stay in a two bed two room suite with a pull out couch. They made us purchase another room for the night. It was very late and we were very unhappy about this. We did it because we had no choice. Will NEVER stay there again. Also, music blared all night from ballroom. Very noisy.

The location was perfect right across the street from shopping mall and resturants. The front desk staff understood and could speak good english an were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good with omlets and fruit for around $12.00 a person. The room was excelent very clean and the cleaning staff doesnt wake you up and are very good about letting you sleep in. Great Stay at Best Western Plaza hotel and casino would highly recomend for the price.

The hotel is very well located, clean and with enough amenities. We had a great overall experience.

Let's remember this is Quito, Ecuador; not Las Vegas or Paris or Singapore. The finer hotel choices are at relative minimum. This was my third trip to Ecuador and my second stay at this hotel. I just returned this weekend, so this is an up to date review. If you are going to Ecuador on business, however, this is a terrific hotel. It is centrally located and is, no doubt, one of the top 5 hotels in Quito. The staff is professional and very helpful. The amenities provide all you really need at a hotel in Ecuador while on business, i.e., business center, exercise facilities, Wi-Fi that really works, large conference rooms, and a location at the center of Quito's commerce; and it is just across the street from the most modern, up-scale shopping center in Quito that has every store imaginable to satisfy any shopping need. It also has a large, modern food court, as well as, several other chain restaurants like TGI Friday's. I had a 2 room suite, with a large living area, that included a large desk, sofa, comfortable chairs, flat screen TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. I had meetings there with 4 and 5 people and we never felt cramped. The bedroom is fairly large with more than enough closet space, and draw space for clothes. The bathroom was fairly modern with a Jacuzzi-type tub, all of which was very clean. There was also plenty of hot water. The bedroom also had its own flat screen TV. The TV cable does provide enough News and entertainment in English if you need to wind down late at night, including the MLB playoff games. The hotel also has a Casino, which I did not utilize, but seemed relatively popular. I did learn that the government is no longer going to allow Casinos in Ecuador, so that "amenity" appears to be short-lived. In summary, this is a great "business" hotel. I highly recommend it for business travelers. If you are looking for a "romantic" getaway, or you are on a modest budget, there are other hotels in Quito to satisfy your needs.

The staff was extremely helpful. They fulfilled all my requirements in a nick of time. The view of the restaurant is breathtaking. I have made the suggestion for them to turn it into a pet friendly one.

Upon checkout I found that the hotel daily rate was $84.00. Orbitz charge was $126.11. I paid that before I went to the hotel and was extremely unhappy when I saw that the rate was a lot less than what I paid.
