I had stayed here in early January, so the hotel was fairly quiet. The room was great and so was the presentation of the lobby. Staff are always around gardening and cleaning around the grounds and everywhere is immaculate. As for the restaurant, everything I ate here was fantastic. The menu mostly consists of Mexican food, but there are other options from omelettes to steaks. The next time I'm in San Juan Del Rio, I'll definitely stay here.
I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip - first time in Mexico. The location doesn’t look good as the hotel is sandwiched between a major road and a petrol station but once inside, all is calm. Quiet cloisters and small courtyard gardens make for a pleasant stay. The room was large, clean and traditional with high ceilings. Breakfast service was polite and efficient although the mainly Mexican menu may not suit all. The pool was closed, and the gym is small but good enough for a short stay. There is a mall opposite for those in need of retail therapy. Overall the hotel has a quiet colonial feel and I would recommend it.
What a Great Dinner we Gad at the Hotel Hacienda la venta! Too bad that we do not think enough to come to the hotel la Hacienda la venta for dinner! I come here very often for business lunch... but did not make an habit yet to come at night! That’s too bad since the quality of the dishes are awesome! More than ever now that Chef Karl Mayrhofler took over the kitchen a few month ago! Every thing is delicious and service is also very good! I will be back again very soon! Congratulations to the team! Thanks Francois
Stayed here with my extended family for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The staff were very helpful and professional, and the room was large and spotless. The wifi is pretty fast, and there's a gym and a pool (which seemed to be heated and unheated at different times, never did quite figure out what the schedule was). The property is a little confusing at first (the pool is not in the most expected place), but it's not bad at all. The restaurant is decent--there's a huge Sunday buffet with made to order quesadillas and sopes, and all the brunch faves like barbacoa, menudo, chilaquiles, etc. And, just in case you're bored or forgot something, there's a mall literally across the street - from the front desk you can be at the Liverpool department store faster than you can find the hotel gym! The only issue, as others have mentioned, is that the hallways are loud and echo-ey. If someone decides to have a loud conversation at 2 am, you'll hear every word.
It feels like going back in time and staying at a real hacienda, architecture is just amazing the space is impeccable and the service is spot on. I enjoyed taking pictures with my family there. The only thing is that you need a car to move around if you are visiting the magical towns in Queretaro State.
I can tell you that it is a first class hotel, the attentions of the staff are great and the service of all the staff was excellent, we are really happy with the success of our event, all the guests felt at home and we are happy for it. I thank you for your kind attention and all the readers I recommend this hotel in San Juan near the main attractions of the city and close to the communication routes. Great for rest, work or family.
They had a party at the hotel, assuring us we wouldn't hear a noise. The thing is that the people of the party decided to keep partying on their rooms afterwards and the hotel staff did nothing. We didn't rest at all because of their after party and when we called reception the staff asked us to be understanding.... at 5 a.m when the only thing we wanted to do was sleep. Make sure they don't have events before staying here.
My family and I spent the night here after shopping in San Juan. The hotel grounds are beautiful and kept immaculate. It is very clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms themselves were very nice. The hacienda architecture is kept in all the designs, yet they are modern. They have great wifi, beds, flat screen and small desk area. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. The price is a little high for the area ($2400 pesos) but you get what you pay for. The check out time is great (1pm). I recommend staying in a room away from the street. We stayed in room 210 and had no issues, it is a connected room. One has two full size beds and the other a king size bed. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
This hotel as the name implies was an old style hacienda. The rooms are very nice but not spectacular. What is spectacular to me is the architecture of the building. The brick domes are intricate and beautiful. The columns, tile work and decor all fit well together. The inside courtyard is just a nice setting to relax, have a drink and talk with friends. The restaurant and bar are very good and the service was very good as well. I stayed on the inside of the courtyard. On this side the nights are very quiet and sleeping is easy. The hotel is within easy walking distance of 2 very nice restaurants, Campo Bravo and Corral de la Vaca. San Juan tends to be a blue collar town. There is a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn Express there if you're interested but for a small price more you can escape the work a day routine and enjoy this little oasis.
I recently stayed at the Hotel Hacienda La Venta on a business trip to San Juan Del Rio. The hotel was not particularly close to the facility I was working at but the extra drive was well worth it. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and very attentive. Entry into the hotel is through a manned gate which gave the feeling of an added bit of security and privacy. The rooms are very nice and well appointed, with all the amenities that a modern business traveler would expect, but with a very charming old world feel. The rooms have high speed internet that is just as fast as any hotel I have stayed at in New York or Chicago. The beds are large, with high quality linens and lots of big pillows. The rooms are air conditioned and feature a remote control for fan speed and temperature, but I really didn't need it as the temperature and humidity outside were low and the room had large windows that opened to the courtyard. The bathroom was large, with everything a traveler would need. The shower had really good pressure and flow and the water was very, very hot. The hotel features a restaurant and a well stocked bar that was good for after work entertaining of my business friends. The grounds are very well maintained and large enough to have a good long quiet walk to unwind. The hotel had plenty of places to stretch out and relax, a very nice pool area and a well equipped, modern gym. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it exceeded my expectations and helped make my visit very pleasant. I look forward to my next visit to San Juan Del Rio and the Hotel Hacienda La Venta!
