I am torn regarding the review that I want to give to this hotel. First it looks like an abandoned hotel from a video game or a movie. Which is scary but at the same time thrilling. It's a very safe place to be honest and the staff were nice. Its is cheap but not crappy, just old. I was a little scared just because it looks abandoned however once that I was over my prejudices it was a nice stay. The room was very spacious, quiet and clean. They told me at reception that they didn’t have hot water, but I took a shower and the water was hot. I definitely would stay there again and would take some creepy pictures in the process. If you have a twisted sense of humor like I do, you would love it.

Is this hotel construction done?

Paper thin walls in rooms. Bathrooms with loose switches. Showers drains on floor. Pathetic water pressure. Simulated marble wood panels not attached. Internet absolutely sucks. Fantastic restaurant. Free parking great. Staff very helpful when not watching the overhead TV. Would not stay there again - sorry.

Expedia/Hotels.com listing erroneous information

Reserved, verified, paid for room with 2 QUEEN beds. Once we arrived hotel said they've never offered Queen beds only doubles which is unsatisfactory and if this was shown on the listing I would have never chosen this hotel. They said it was Expedia/Hotels.com fault for putting wrong information and I could take it or leave it but it was what it was, no accommodation possible. Had to find and pay for ANOTHER hotel, causing great expense and inconvenience. I am alerting all social media, government agencies, consumer groups as well as twitter / FB / Instagram / Snapchat et all about this problem. I have also contacted my bank and credit card company about the problem. Guess we will no longer use your site for any travel, I will alert all to this fact, since it contains erroneous information, there is no resolution possible and your $$$ is taken with no service received. This is unacceptable and this issue will be followed up. Also, area of hotel was unsafe and not recommended by locals, Hotel Florencia has a terrible reputation for scamming guests and for terrible service and should not be promoted by reputable sites. Don't you do your own research to avoid situations like this? Shame on you!

Pool closes early at 8 pm & No wifi in rooms.

I was disappointed that their pool closed at 8 pm instead of 10 pm like the majority of hotels. We booked this hotel only for the pool to be able to get a splash in the pool after a long day. The pool hours were not advertised and we were not able to swim at 8 pm. Plus NO wifi in the room at all. If you are in a businesss trip, do not book this hotel. The mini fridge did not work either. Very nice and safe area though, and clean room.

Hotel Florencia - Queretaro, Mexico

If you are a picky person, prone to complain alot, I would definitely not recommend you stay at the Hotel Florencia. This was my first trip to Mexico, and I wanted to stay in the downtown area, close to where my friend works there in Queretaro. The location of this hotel is awesome, but the hotel itself needs major work. The rooms need new carpeting big time. The plumbing needs some work as well. My sink faucet would squirt water all over the place as well the shower leaked water on the floor. Your room key card needs to be inserted in this special holder on the wall for the electricity to work, which is great for saving electricity, but I had no idea and went down to the desk to tell them I have no electricity lol. So they got me up to speed on that and I had to ask for the WIFI password. The employees really seem depressed and disengaged which is a shame as a smile really does go a long way in making someone feel welcome. The only person who smiled was the cleaning lady who did my room every morning. The hotel restaurant was decent enough for the price of the buffet. The restaurant staff were usually on their phones, and many times I just got up and got my own coffee. They would expect a tip even though they did nothing for me lol. Watever. So all in all, the decision you need to make is this: Is the location worth the run-down state of the hotel for you ?

Hotel Florencia in Queretaro

Good hotel in nice area of Queretaro. Room was adequate. Wifi is the public areas only. I saw a breakfast buffet but we missed it. Lots of stores around to pick up stuff you forgot to pack.
