Our family of 4 stayed at the Villa del Lago for 2 nights. The views and location are very, very good. The apartment is extremely clean and comfortable additionally, the location is very good. The reception is a bit run down and the parking is difficult to navigate.

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with a good size kitchen, facilities and balcony. The view was stunning and there is a walking track at the bottom of the property which is an easy stroll into town. Definitely recommend a stay! Reception staff were very helpful

This is a wonderful, beautiful place to stay. I second the other positive reviews that have already been made. It is located a few minutes out of town; one can walk into town but the local Green Cabs usually arrived before we could even get to the parking lot. If steps are a problem, you should contact the hotel to see how they might accommodate you as our room required climbing up a flight and a half of stairs. But the views of the lake and quality of the one-bedroom suites made the steps seem like nothing. And, the unit has its own washer and dryer!

We stayed here in March of 2018 and loved it! The rental had everything we needed! And that view! Nothing like relaxing with a glass of wine after dinner and looking at those mountains! The staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to come back to Queenstown and would love to stay here again!

Property is on the lake with attractive view (when the weather cooperates). Room is nice with well-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer (great with suitcases of dirty clothes!). If you don't have a car (we didn't) its a healthy 40 minute walk (or @ $15NZ cab) to Queenstown. Keep this in mind since the property does not have a restaurant. Depending on what level your room is on, be prepared to carry your luggage up and down a lot of steep stairs. If you are not a night owl and don't like the limited TV channels, movie CD's are available (with a hike up/down the stairs) at reception. Full payment required during high summer season when reservation is made. Warning: Queenstown fills up fast and rooms are at a premium in high season.

We are traveling around nz for our honeymoon. This is such a romantic beautiful villa. We have lake views from our villa. The town is about 5 min away. You can't walk, you'll need a car. The room is big w full kitchen, seperate bedroom. Like a little apartment. We wished we were staying here longer. Definetly a great place to call home while on vacation.

Hard to fault - a one bedroom apartment with a magnificent view east of the lake and snowcapped mountains. Quality and comfortable bedding, lounge, dining area, and kitchen. Could have easily been comfortable here for a couple of weeks

Great early check in experience. Fantastic room with a view over the lake and "remarkables" mountains. Just stunning. The room was well equipped with kitchen, dining table, sofas, sideboards etc. Separate double bedroom and bathroom. Separate closet too with laundry facilities. Quite a few stone steps down to the room and those below ours so be forewarned if you have heavy luggage. Set on the outskirts of town you have a couple of walk options, one lakeside, the other on the main road into town. Staff organised excursions for us quickly and efficiently. Can't fault any part of our stay here, the hotel was great but the view to wake up to, something else !!

We booked a 3 bedroomed villa for ourselves and 5 visitors for a few days. Everyone was delighted with the view and the villa itself. Amazing space and wonderful service. Right on the water's edge and a few minutes from town - what more could we ask for....

Had a one bedroom apartment with lake view. The apartment had a lounge/diner/kitchen with loads of room. A separate laundry room with washer and tumble dryer, bathroom and bedroom. Lay in bed and watch the sun rise over the mountains. It was so nice we had to push ourselves to go out. Room serviced daily and consumables replenished. Ipod Bose speaker so bring your Bluetooth adapter or iPhone 5 plus adapter. Room had curved screen tv too although we didn’t use it. Patio area outside has table and chairs and steps lead down to lake side path
