Stayed 6 nights in a 2bed deluxe apartment. Entered to fresh hot bread cooking in kitchen-smelt divine! Very spacious living dining area with partial lake views. Bedrooms set apart from living for kids was good at bedtime as quiet down the hall from tv. Bathrooms clean and tidy and loved the underfloor heated tiles. Handy hidden laundry. Dishwasher was partially broken? Very convenient to airport. Plenty of parking and easy drive in to town. Definately recommend staying here.
We have stayed in Mantra hotels before and have learned to expect a certain quality for the money we pay. We stayed two nights in Mantra Marina - 15th and 16th September 2017. Mantra Marina is in a great location Wigan excellent view of the lake. It is spacious and comfortable. It was clean. It had an iron, a washing machine and a drier. I would have left a 4-5 star review - but then this happened. We arrived late. Reception was closed and the key and instr were left for me to collect. I run an online business and need to check emails and sales daily. When I tried the wifi username name and password it didn't work. As it was late, I decided not to call the duty manager. Next day we left early and returned around 8 pm. Tried wifi. No luck. This time I called the duty manager. Her name was either Kath or Cat. When I told what the issue was , she didn't apologise and justify gave me a new username and a password. When I tried to ask her why the first one didn't work, she angrily cut me off and said " just listen to me " in an angry tone. I was shocked and hurt. I've never had such treatment from any hotel staff ever before. I asked her again why the first one didn't work. Then she lied and said that I had already used the data allowance- when in fact I couldn't even log in. The next morning when I went to check out, the name tag on the receptionist said 'Cat'. She was friendly. I don't know whether it's the same woman or a different one. Whatever it is, I was shocked and hurt. Facilities is not everything. You need to treat your customers with respect.
The Mantra Marina was wonderful. Located right on the lake, it overlooks a beautiful landscape, with walking/riding track right at your door. The 2-bedroom apartment accommodation was excellent - really spacious, very clean, well serviced, good heating/cooling and ensuite bathrooms. Will definitely stay here again. Bus stop into Queenstown town centre is at the front of the property, and you can get the outbound bus to the airport from across the road. Plenty of free parking on-site. Supermarket is a short car ride away, as is the airport. All-round excellent accomodation.
This hotel is not a hotel, but a collection of apartments. From random cleaning products left in rooms (tea towel first night and sponge second night) to the paper thin walls this was a little disappointing for the $$$ of 5 star. Also no iron? We were next to two tradie lads who were put up there for work who although polite, were quite loud. Ask yourself, do you want to stay next to this at 5 star?? Otherwise facilities were clean and the front desk attendant was lovely.
Disappointed with the fuzzy Tv channels. Went to reception and was informed that all the Tv's there are like that and nothing can be done. I think a bit more effort with resolving it would be nicer. The mugs provided were chipped and stained.. Time to get new ones 😀 Need to drag suitcases to the room from carpark. No lift access. Saw other guests doing the same with their suitcase and bags so do need to take note of this if it's not convenient for certain people.
Nice and close to the airport, on the route for buses into Queenstown or The Remarkables. We had the hotel room. It was nice and big, warm and the bed very comfortable. Microwave, toaster and plates etc. were a nice touch for a hotel room. Wi-fi worked well. We had everything we needed. Only minuses were: it is right next to a busy road, so you get a bit of traffic noise; the walls are a bit thin, so you hear your neighbours' loud conversations; not really walking distance to anywhere nice to eat so a car or a bus ride is necessary. All in all, though, good value and we'll be happy to return.
Another beautiful lakefront stay at Mantra Marina . Absolute luxury ! Stunning views of the remarkables and lake all from the luxurious comfort of our 3 bedroom apartment that was absolutely massive ! Just like being home - full kitchen , washer , dryer. So convenient especially in winter for drying out clothes after Day in the snow ! This is our second stay here. We wouldn't stay anyway else when coming to Queenstown. Do keep in mind however that it is probably a good 8 minute drive into Queenstown wharf area where all the action is . This has never bothered us though. There is now a massive countdown (Woolies) supermarket at Frankton that was so convenient for being able to grab food you would eat at home and prepare it in the unit kitchen . You won't be disappointed with a stay here !
Excellent stay everything was just perfect. Staff were accommodating and overly helpful. Room was way above average and we loved every thing about this hotel. Thankyou for making our stay as amazing as it was
Booked a 2 bed family apartment. Very large with 2 bathrooms and a full sized kitchen. Room was warm and bathroom floors heated. Stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the great view over the lake. Room was Lakeside and quiet. Enjoyed the surprise freshly baked bread in a bread maker when we got home from the snow on one night.
Just the right mix of comfort and Budget Rooms are Super clean and well maintained daily We arrived late and the reception had closed, but everything was arranged for us for a comfortable check in Parking is free but note it's uncovered - shouldn't be an issue unless it snows heavily Offers fantastic views of the lake and overhead mountains
