We stayed in a renovated room and it was very clean and comfortable. Nice lighting. What I especially liked was the very efficient service. Everyone was nice and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.
We had a business trip to Quebec this Monday. Recommended by a friend, we booked this hotel for a night. The first look of outside is not very attractive, but inside is very well designed. Impressive large lobby, relaxing. The guy in the front desk is very enthusiasm, help me to arrange my extra luggage, call taxi, always smiling. Thanks a lot. The room of two queen size bed which I lived was quite big. The bathroom seams newly renovated with spacious shower room. I love this style better than those old tub with sticky certain. The resto-bar in the first floor keep open in the evening is very practical for me as well when I came back with my customer later in the evening.
We were staying at the Hotel Quartier for 2 nights with our young kids (2 and 4). We were not impressed by the quality of this hotel. We normally stay at other hotels, but they were all full when we booked our stay. The room was a newly renovated room. It is small, but functional. The bathroom was equipped with a shower and NO bathtub. It had no counter or shelve to store our toiletteries and not enough hooks to hang our towels. The beds and especially the pillows are too soft and do not provide great support. The room is poorly lit. The TV has a lot of channels to choose from. The pool is warm, but has a lot of chlorine and is dirty. The floors would need more mopping and the walls of the pool require cleaning. The stairs and hallways of this hotel are very confusing. All the guests were confused by the floors. And the elevator does not stop at every floor. On the bright side: the room was clean, and the staff was very nice and always helpful. All in all, you get what you pay for. However, we will not be back to this hotel, as many other hotels in Québec City have more to offer. Nice modern and well located. My room was comfortable and spacious. Reasonably priced. Staying only one night so cannot really say too much. Overall a good choice. Lobby is very impressive, boutique style with lots of lounging areas for guests.
Stayed with 3 female friends for 2 nights in August for a concert. We got a good deal on this hotel from a friends and family offer from the Choice Hotels. We had a room with two Queen beds. It was modern, clean. The sleep quality was great. It was quiet and comfortable. There were 2 buses of kids in the hotel (Army Cadets) when I was staying there and it remained quiet. So that was a relief We found the room to be tight on space and it needed better lighting. The bathroom has no shelf space or counter top. I mention this because I felt like my toiletries and things were always in the sink. The room had a stand up shower - no bathtub. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we asked for some directions. We did not use the restaurant. There is a McDonalds directly across the street as well as a St. Huberts next door. The Laurier Mall is walking distance - a block away. It is easy to get to Old Quebec from here by following Laurier street straight down. I would use this hotel again, however it would have to be at a similar rate to what I paid ($149 plus tax per night).
This hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. We only stayed for a night en route to Montreal but it provided us with everything we needed. Guidebooks are left in the rooms along with complimentary bottled water. Free parking on site which is great. Only downside is that it is about a 15-20 uber journey to old town Quebec.
Simply not worth the 250 dollar price. The room was very dimly lit.Bathroom had no tub only a large walkin shower with no sliding door so some of the water ended up on the floor in front of the econo toliet. The bathroom was painted black, Management could add value to the rooms by adding a microwave. Stayed in an 80 dollar motel the night before that had one. Having lived in Quebec City I was not expecting a view of the city and got a great view of the parking lot so I could keep an eye on my car. This hotel is not wheelchair accesable and if your room is on the 2nd or 1 st floor be prepard to walk up and down stairs no elevators except for floors 3 and above. The check in staff appeared overworked and tired. The lady that handled our check out was very pleasant with a nice genuine smile. I travelled at a busy time and the price was higher than what is now advertised. Did not try the wifi or swimming pool. The hotel is next to nice St Hubert. Simply too much downside.
Friendly bilingual staff, clean comfortable rooms. Nice work area/ desk to charge phones, tablets, etc. Location is close to major mall and a St. Hubert's restaurant is within walking distance. If you have a rental car it is an easy drive to the old walled city. The only issue I had was the extremely hot water in the bathroom. Care must be taken so you do not scald yourself.
We didn't wish to travel to a restaurant, and were surprised that the hotel offered, a large dining room on site. We visited for snacks and drinks, and were very pleased with the service, quality of the food, and the pricing. The restaurant is very attractive, and had recently undergone renovations. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning. The hotel itself was very modern. The rate was reasonable, and the location is downtown Quebec City. Close to everything. The room we were assigned had recently been updated, and was actually very beautiful, artistically. Ample and safe parking. Easy to enter and exit. Front desk staff were exceptional, and very helpful. They even printed out a map to show us how to continue our journey. We would definitely stay here again, and hope that we do!!
Clean & comfortable with great restaurant attached, just some odd quirks - but they would not put me off staying again. Couldn't find the desk light until I touched the ledge under TV. Couldn't see a trash can in the room until just before checking out, it was hidden far under the bathroom sink, not visible while i was in the bathroom! There is a large recycle tub very visible under the fridge in the bedroom. As the hotel is built on a slope, had to walk down stairs (no elevator) towards our room.
