The hotel was vey nice and extremely comfortable. The room was large as was the bathroom. Breakfast was good. We arrived late and were greeted with a friendly desk person.

very clean and friendly staff members! Public parking are all around, too. Walking distance to the old Quebec city area.

Great location...15 min walk from Walled city. Spacious rooms, very clean, staff helpful and speak English. Restaurants and park nearby. Covered parking for 16.00 /day PLUS tax...ouch ! We did not use wifi, lobby computer very slow. Rm 212...nice but we were awaken 3 nights at 11:30 by huge loud garbage truck ! Free bft was fine, but were offered 7.00 credit towards a bigger bft if we chose. Only one waiter in AM...to serve...you will need to tip .Very slow getting our check., servers were very nice. Would stay here again. We loved a very cheap, good food , noisy, but fun place around the corner called Bureau de Poste from Hotel.

I enjoyed my stay there. It may take some time in order to walk to the old town.

Walking distance of Orleans express bus stop. It took 15 minutes and single road. You can also walk to the Old City. Room was not big but clean and comfortable:) Only regret was small breakfast.

I was looking for a convenient hotel in downtown Quebec City before our cruise. I selected the Hotel Royal William and we very much enjoyed our stay. One big plus is an excellent restaurant located in the hotel. Try the Duck Club sandwich, it was terrific!

Staff was great, very pleasant. Location was great, right off the hop on hop off bus tour. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good.

It was great trip in Quebec with my fiance. Hotel was clean and staffs are nice. Very convinient location.

A great hotel!! Staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel provded a $5 discount on the breakfast. Service in the restaurant was slow. A good location - we walked to the citagelle and the old city.. Hotel is well sound-proofed. Our rooom was on the front of the hotel on the f irst floor, but we could not hear traffic or or others guests on the first floor.

While this hotel is just outside the upper town walls, it's only 1 block from the stairs. Very quiet room! Continental breakfast or $5 credit towards other choices. Parking lot hard to find, but open lot nearby for $12 with in/out privileges.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful with any questions my girlfriend and I may have had during our stay such as which restaurants were good and directions. Hotel was very nice and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only thing I disliked is not knowing where to park in advance, In the midst of trying to find a place to park I was involved in a minor accident. It was an awful way to start off my first 5 minutes in Quebec but the hotel along with the beautiful city made me soon for get all about the accident. Overall I had a great stay and am definitely looking forward to going back.

Room was spacious, extremely clean, & very pleasant. Staff were nice, friendly, patient, & very helpful. The morning breakfast was provided in the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast was also quiet enjoyable. The hotel is located a fairly short walk from the walled city. It is a walk up a steep hill, but, the walk was a pleasant walk with lots of Quebec charm. If we return to Quebec City, we will definitely consider and likely stay at the Hotel Royal William again. Awesome hotel!

The room was quaint and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast at the Hotel restaurant is delicious served with home made bread at reasonable price. We had a nice, quite and comfortable stay and it is only a few minutes walk from historical sites, Parliament House, the Old Quebec, St Lawrence river, the military fortress. A great place to stay for the price.

I'm extremely happy with my stay. The staffs were very helpful and rooms cozy and clean. The location is good by my standards: you can walk up-hill (which is very nice) to old town quebec in 15 minutes, or take the 800/801 bus for 3-5 minutes. The neighborhood is very residential so you get a sense of what québecois are really like in their daily attire. Just behind the hotel on Rue St. Joseph E, there are a number of really good neighborhood cafes (such as the Brûlerie, Netktar etc) and restaurants (check out le Cercle for local band night). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there!

The Royal William was a wonderful find. We decided at the last moment to visit La Cite and looked at many hotels online. We felt the loaction, price and the fact it was a family owned property made us choose it over others. We were not disappointed (though the beds could have been a tad softer). We would definitely stay again. Merci!

Spending only one night before a cruise, I was looking only at price and location. To my delight, I discovered a spot that I look forward to returning for a much deeper exploration of the area.

From the moment we arrived at the Royal William we were treated with courtesy, respect, friendliness and genuine helpfulness. We were greeted by a young woman who immediately set to assure that our visit was comfortable and complete. She suggested a marvelous restaurant for us to try for dinner that evening. After that, everyone at the Royal William followed in that vein and made sure that any questions we had were answered and every small detail was to our liking. We enjoyed a wonderful stay and look forward to returning in the near future.

My wife and I had a wonderful three night stay at the Royal William. While the location required a 15-20 minute uphill walk to the old city, there was little to fault. The room was large, tastefully furnished and very quiet, despite its busy setting. Service was excellent and the young staff were knowledgeable and always willing to respond to questions. A minor criticism was that the continental breakfast did not vary from day to day.

This was my first stay at this hotel in Quebec City, Quebec and travel companion and I were very impressed. The hotel has been completely renovated and the rooms are larger and very well appointed. It is very quiet and you can't even hear any road noise. The front desk staff are very welcoming and will do anything for you and always have a smile. I will most definitely stay again and recommend it highly to anyone visiting the area. A great value for the dollar as well as this hotels rooms are quite a bit cheaper than most hotels in the area, including the Best Western which is located close by.

Friendly staff en anglais et en français! Very patient with my basic French skills. I liked the continental breakfast and additional breakfast options served in a real restaurant. Merçi beacoup.
