Hotel's staff was very nice. Everyone very helpful and spoke decent English! The room was just the right size for my husband and I. The building itself I think is on the older side so the bathroom and rooms are older than other hotels I've stayed at but the facilities are kept very clean. We also liked the fact that there was valet service for the car and you pay a flat fee daily no matter how many times you take the car in and out. The location of the hotel is perfect, though, because it's right in the center of old city. Everything is walking distance, it's literally 2 blocks from the Chateau de Frontenac. I love that we were able to shop, come back to the hotel, go back out for lunch, come back for a nap and go back out for dinner. I would definitely stay here again. Price was pretty reasonable but I'm actually told that the time we went (Mid January) was off season so that's probably why. It's not bad coming during this season at all, though. We didn't have to wait in line for anything...although it was freezing cold so just make sure you bring enough layers and bundle up. The only minus for me was that one of their elevators was broken...the one closest to our room so we literally had to do walk around the building from the elevator that was working to our room.

Great Christmas Day buffet! Warm and friendly staff. Efficient valet parking. So much to do within walking distance.

Great location - we were in town for the German Christmas Markets. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Loved the old charm of the hotel

One night stay was great. Helpful staff; awesome location. Would certainly recommend it.

The location, service and price of hotel were excellent. I most definitely will stay at The Clarendon Hotel when I go back to Old Quebec for any of my vacations.

Excellent hotel, close to all the main sites of Old Quebec!

This hotel is right in the middle of the city and within walking distance of all the sights. Many restaurants/coffee shops nearby. A block from Chateau Frontenac. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. Room was nice and beds were heavenly. Slept great except for a rambunctious group of kids that ran down the hall, laughing and being loud, but otherwise no complaints. Will stay at again when we come back!

Not at this time. Room was extremely small and no view.

Perfect location. Warm and welcoming staff. Would definitely return

This hotel is perfectly located in the old city of Quebec. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed. This is an old hotel but it retains the charm without the problems faced by many older hotels.

This Hotel located near the Church of Notre-Dame and Christmas Store(Boutique Noel) and City Hall. Very nice to visit every store and restaurantes. and have nice Heating System. If you need to warm air, you can control temprature each room. Every room have bath tub, you can use bubble shower. This hotel is little old, but in QUEBEC lots of hotel and hostel are same or more worst. If you need comfortable and easy contact every sight, you need this hotel.

This hotel is in the heart of old Quebec. Valet parking was reasonable. We had real issues getting to the hotel due to a bicycle race; after wandering the old city for two hours, we retreated to the newer part of town to rest and eat before returning to the hotel. The return three hours later was issue free. The room was small and filled with furniture; the bath was cramped. The staff was friendly and multilingual; the valets for parking our rental car were especially nice. We ate one breakfast in the hotel but thereafter ate in one of the many restaurants nearby. We ate the evening meal in our room. Quebec is beautiful but hard on old feet with rough pavement and steep inclines. This is definitely a walking city. We got to the Catholic and Anglican cathedrals, the Chateau Frontenac, the Citadel, the Governor General's Quebec residence, the Museum of Man, and other sites and lots of shops.

Overall, our experience was nice. The hotel is old but with a nice style. We liked the proximity of attractions. Negative points: -I have got a hard time to find ice machine on floor, no indication.. I had to walk to complete floors to finally find one. -Despite the fact that I advice the valet about our manual transmission vehicle and the respective feature (remove parking brake and engage reverse), the valet answered me with a mean way.. we were disturbed because he was not able to start it.

Hotel prices are expensive in the East of Canada. This hotel has a good Quality-price rate and its location is perfect,

Pleasant stay. Close to everything. Relax atmosphere.

Friendly staff Great location Helpful with directions Old time charm
