Room was clean and quiet. Hotel is right on Grande-Allee which has many patio dining options for a summer evening just steps from the front door. 2 min walk to Plains of Abraham park with great views down to the St Lawrence river. Parking is not the nightmare everyone makes it out to be - you can park at the large hotel on the corner (less than 500m walk) in their underground parking. $25.00 CAD per night. Not out of the ordinary in a large city with a location so close to major tourist sites etc. The hotel is a renovated older building and there are a lot of stairs if you're not on the main floor (for those with mobility concerns). No counter in the bathroom made it a bit difficult to get ready, jetted tub bubbles did not work for us, though the tub is nice and deep for a soak. All in all it was great for our overnight stay on our way through to PEI.

Greeted by cigarette buts all around front door area. Water wasn’t working for 2 hours. Lumpy bed and dated pillows. They have made no effort to update units. Plus no elevator so don’t bring heavy bags.

It's a budget hotel so I was not expecting anything amazing and for something central in Quebec City it's in the most affordable places. Bed, towels, sink, toilets were clean but some areas (less used) are dusty. It could do with an overall refresh as it's quite tired looking. The location was what was important so that was great. Relatively quiet, apart from the last night when children stayed in the room next door. Staff were ok as well. So if you have a smaller budget, it's a good option to be close to the old Quebec near restaurant and Les Plaines D'Abraham.

Clean heritage building , with basics renovations years ago in Quebec City’s most prestigious street. If you are looking for impeccable facilities in a soulless building , this is NOT the place However , if you value old stone , great location , vibrant street and don’t mind squeaky floor or doors , at a reasonable price , this is the place. And the personnel was very nice. I’d book again , but not my wife.

If you like cold showers, this is for you

The ‘view from the hotel’ is not at all the view from the hotel. It’s in a decent location, but it’s not as close to the old city as that picture suggests and that view most definitely does not exist from this hotel. The shower didn’t have hot water. No phone in room, so I had to get dressed and go down to the front desk. He checked, cuz idk- girls don’t know how to turn on water?! They allowed me to use a room down the hall to shower. Super inconvenient and highly annoying. Tub was dirty. Rom smelled damp. Parking is $25 and not guaranteed so you might pay for nothing.

Charming and rustic. Three floors of hotel with a historic feel! This hotel has some period flare and character. With a few minor aesthetic improvements this hotel would be a 5/5!!!

The staff who helped us was outstanding! She made the stay. The hotel itself is old and run down. The room had peeling ceilings from an old leak, the bathroom was dirty, the bedding was soiled and overall just not overly welcoming. Front stairs had cigarette butts everywhere. It was quite noisy as we didn't realize there was a music festival happening in the neighbourhood during out stay.

I didn’t like that it was so difficult to find the back of the hotel for parking. It doesn’t have an address, it’s down some alley that we could. It find, without having to call the hotel twice.
