Competent and friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Attention to the smallest details. Not super modern, but to offer modern decor and other updates would diminish the 19th century charm of the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this iconic property -- our bed was comfortable and staff fairly helpful. Some quibbles -- our fifth floor room was well-located, beautiful view on river side. But very loud with all day and evening entertainment just outside. The room was a King and was good sized but the bathroom was TINY and not consistent with the standard of the hotel. Plugs/charging facilities very outdated (few outlets, no USB ports). Concierge helpful at first in sorting out a restaurant issue but then never followed up -- ultimately unhelpful. Felt a bit nickel and dimed -- fee to walk thru the hotel art gallery, no guest discount for tour of the hotel (!!). Be careful in the hotel bar -- some drinks (a kir royale at, I think 40 dollars?) have hefty price tags of which bar staff did not warn us. Overall good experience, honestly, but more annoyances and glitches than we might have expected.

River view room allows a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence river as well as activities on the promenade. Easy to walk and jog on the promenade to the Les Plaines d'Abraham from the hotel. Reception and concierge services were excellent. Room was spotless and lunch at Sam restaurant was enjoyable

I can't say enough about this property. It is in the perfect location and is stunning. The bedroom was beautifully appointed and comfortable for my family of four.

From the moment you approach this grand hotel, you immediately feel as though you have stepped back in time, charm, character and elegance! The staff and concierge service, second to none! One of the best places We have ever been.

The room was beautiful as was the hotel. Everything was extremely comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The spa services (facial and massage) were also excelllent. The only con is that the breakfast, which is a great buffet, is rather expensive when compared to the other dining options in the area.

We had a wonderful time, very friendly people all around.

The staff could not have been more helpful. Our bags were lost by the airline so the woman at the front desk sent personal care packages for both my wife and I (they were at the door before we had even sat down). The doorman brought our luggage to us as soon as it had arrived and the cleaning crew did not leave a trace if dust. The food was exceptional. All around high marks.

Very friendly staff. Central location with good restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful view over the river is a bonus. Grandiose looking hotel with good buffet for morning breakfast.

We loved our stay, the staff was incredible. We were only bummed to not have a guided tour of the historic hotel.

We took advantage of the November sale on rooms for our first time visit to Quebec City. The hotel does not disappoint with its grandeur throughout! Everyone was helpful and would highly recommend staying there.

Our rooms were lovely but on the small side with tinier bathrooms but oh, what a view of the river with the ferries coming and going. I was lucky enough to have three windows while my poor sister who had the smaller room only had one. The employees were fabulous save one who got a little snippy with me when there was a simple misunderstanding. Oh well. Sams Bistro was nice but the ambient lighting was so dim where we sat we couldn't read the menu. Bring a flashlight-had one in my purse but forgot it was there-oh well. Do take the tour of the Chateau. It was very interesting and Frederic, our guide, was delightful. My sister had therapeutic massage for her back and shoulder and was very pleased with the helpfulness and expertise of the masseuse.

I was very comfortable here. It's elegant. The mattress was superb. Slept like a baby. Down comforter and pillows. Nice breakfast buffet. Although French language is predominantly spoken here, all of the people I spoke to were bilingual and replied to me in English.

The room we reserved was not ready due to "broken pipes." Which seemed to be a lie. But they did give us a free breakfast because we had to change rooms after the first night. It was a great stay but we will stay in another hotel when we return to Quebec.

My room was in this turret, round wall and windows. I felt like a royal.  Magnificent building and architectural detail

perfect location for most tourist dights

great location in old quebec city

The room was beautiful as was the hotel. Everything was extremely comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The spa services (facial and massage) were also excelllent. The only con is that the breakfast, which is a great buffet, is rather expensive when compared to the other dining options in the area.

gorgeous historical hotel

The staff could not have been more helpful. Our bags were lost by the airline so the woman at the front desk sent personal care packages for both my wife and I (they were at the door before we had even sat down). The doorman brought our luggage to us as soon as it had arrived and the cleaning crew did not leave a trace if dust. The food was exceptional. All around high marks.
