Me and my boyfriend visited park hotel junior in August 2017. The staff are lovely, very attentive and friendly. Our room was a deluxe and it was really nice! It was spacious, clean (also cleaned daily by a maid while we were out and about), and it was very modern. All rooms come with a balcony on which you can smoke. This was great for is as we are both smokers especially when on holiday! However if you're not a smoker, the smell might be bothersome to you as balconies next door may well be smoking. The pool is small, but still does the job of cooling you off! We found night swimming in it fun as we had it all to ourselves and the underwater lights made it look lovely. However if you do this I can't stress enough how important it is to use mosquito repellent spray!! I got eaten alive by them, they are rife in evenings and night times! As for location, it's a bit out of the way for people wanting to visit Venice, but the hotel offer a shuttle service to the nearby train station, from which you can easily catch a train into Venice city centre for just a few euros a day. Furthermore, the fact the hotel is not in the middle of Venice means it is half the price, and it's actually very nice to be able to spend some time away from the hectic-ness of the city! So location worked well for us! The food provided at the hotel was also good. Breakfast had a wide spread, there is also a restaurant 100 metres away which is a nice alternative to eating in the city. I would definitely come here again, beautiful scenery, friendly staff and a clean room to sleep on. It was a lovely holiday which we both thoroughly enjoyed!
Tricky review this. On the whole this hotel has a lot of potential and a lot of great qualities. Friendly staff, good location. However, on arrival we found that our request for 2 twin rooms had been ignored and despite having 3 teenage sons with me we were given 2 double rooms which we had to put up with for the first night given our time of arrival. Put right the next day. Breakfast was continental and as expected. Good spread really. Coffee is Luke warm so ask for hot milk. My eldest son asked for room service and received a pizza with a dead fly on it, sorted quickly but still, not nice. The pool is small but really peaceful and in a great setting, a nice cool end to a very warm day. Day 4 saw my middle son cut his toe very badly on the filter grate on the bottom of the pool. We were advised against the hospital as the wait would be very long and the manager spent lots of time trying to dress his wounds with cotton wool that stuck to the wound. He has little English and needed one of his staff to translate my concerns the next day as I'd had to wash off the cotton wool and then ask for something like gauze for the next dressing. Poor kid missed 3 days in the pool. Food is dead expensive in the hotel. Head to Piero's 2 doors up the road for a great quality, less oily meal. Supermarket next door is great. The shuttle service to the station is great but actually could be walked in 15 minutes. This all sounds very negative but we probably just had a run of bad luck.
We chose the hotel in order to enjoy some rest & relaxation away from the bustle of Venice on the days that we weren't sight seeing. There were problems on the journey out but nothing to do with the hotel. They were supportive and helpful. As others have said, don't be put off by the location. It is very peaceful in the hotel and gardens and we enjoyed watching the peacocks, doves, squirrels and butterflies. Our room was modern and comfortable. Only slight negative was that the only plug socket near a mirror was in the bathroom. Not great for ladies who need to do their hair! A good choice at breakfast in a lovely setting with unobtrusive, polite staff. We went into Venice for 3 days during our week's stay and the transport works well if you are organised and plan ahead. The restaurant Odini is lovely and well worth a visit. Especially good if you like fish and seafood - a bit more limited if not. All in all a very pleasant stay.
We have really enjoyed our stay here, it's a lovely hotel! The rooms are clean and well decorated, including the bathroom, we had a lovely little balcony. Breakfast was a nice mixture of cereal, fruit, pastries and fried breakfast. The pool is a little small not for swimming lengths but nice to paddle in and is exceptionally clean. There are several loungers and the pool area has plenty of drainage so there's not loads of water slopped everywhere. The hotel bar makes a mean g and t and the prices aren't bad either! We had lunch from here today and the pizza was fabulous! The hotel has a shuttle service to the station and it's a short journey by train to Venice. The only issue is the times can be a little restrictive. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel which are of high standard and have a lovely mix of rustic Italian classics and fine dining seafood.
I would recommend this hotel, although it's just outside Venice, after the crowds it's a wonderful place to relax with its beautiful setting one feels like being in a beautiful park! Getting into Venice or Mestre station for other connections is quite simple with the excellent shuttle service (small charge) . Train fares to these station is very reasonable! Our room was wonderful, I would recommend upgrade from standard room! Beautiful breakfast room overlooking garden and excellent breakfast with great coffee. The staff were so friendly and helpful and were happy to more than help/correct if there's any problems. Can't speak more highly of them all! They made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you to them.
Very nice and quite hotel very close to Venezia. All the staff was very nice and kind. The room was large and clean. Only one problem for me was that there was no socket in bathroom, so I could not use my curling iron. Small swimming pool was also good.
Nice hotel for people with a car, it is not close to tourist attractions. Nice facilities, quiet and comfortable.Excellent breakfast. The restaurant is OK. The room showers have slippery floor and no place to hold you.
This hotel was great! The pictures online don't do it justice. It's within 15 minutes of the Marco Polo Airport. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, spacious and the balcony is beautiful. The bathroom has two shower heads, one of which is hand held. The food buffet was delicious. It has everything that different palates desire. They have a shuttle from the Quarto d'altino train station. You will truly enjoy your stay hear. The staff is very friendly.
Clean, new hotel, in a green area, with large garden (with peacock), friendly welcome and enormous rooms, nicely furnished (but for some excess of gilded ornaments somewhere...). Pleasant sleep, all services, large and varied breakfast. Very reasonable price.
A comfortable and clean hotel that has fully met our expectation and lives up to the high ratings from TripAdvisor travellers. We spent the day in Venice prior to travelling to Quarto D'Altino by train. A quick phone call to the hotel as we boarded ensured that we were met by Francesca and transported to the hotel in the shuttle bus. This is a very convenient service which makes the journey to/from Venice easy and stress free. We found the hotel immaculate in every respect. Our room was modern, spacious and benefitted from an excellent bathroom with walk in double rainfall shower and a generous balcony with a superb view of the extensive grounds. Breakfast is served buffet style in a large, light function room with the option of seating on a spacious and comfortable outdoor terrace. The choice of food is more than adequate, with fresh fruit, home made bread/cakes and hot options ensuring you will not leave hungry. Quality coffee completes the picture! The nearby Odino (part of the hotel group) restaurant is highly rated, although it will not suit everyone as the menu is heavily orientated towards fish and shellfish. Quarto D'Altino has many other restaurants to choose from with the Vecio Decimo (10 minute walk) serving quality home made Pizzas and Pasta. The Park Junior service is unobtrusive and excellent, with the staff eager to help and assist with local travel arrangements and day trips. If at all possible, do not miss the opportunity to visit Castello Roncade. Francesca and her staff took care of the arrangements, local taxi (10 minutes each way), tour of the villa and winery, followed by wine tasting and an opportunity to purchase. This was a fantastic experience.....we met the Baron and enjoyed the wine!!! Thank you to all at the Park Junior for making our short holiday memorable. We hope to return.
