Room was okay. Price was okay. Staff was okay - but the English ability could have been better. Room was old and worn, not as clean as I would have liked, but typical for hotels in China. Price was mid-level, which means it was a decent value in terms of comfort and location. Staff was professional, but few smiles were to be found. And English was barely sufficient.

We stay here at least once a year and always thoroughly enjoy it. Staff are attentive, rooms are comfortable, food, both Chinese and western, is good. Bed is very comfortable, shower the best and room warm.

Good hotel but aged. One girl staff soeaks good English. The barmaid only Chinese and wad rude telling me to go because I didnt order a drink. I told her just a minute but she kept telling me to or order a drink.

efficient check in/out; good service; excellent location - airport bus stops steps away, safe and convenient. plenty of estery around, both budget and luxurious restsrants. under ground shopping 50 meters away

Four star hotel with good location in Qingdao downtown . By 10 minutes walk can go to sea side. Carrefour shopping centers is in front of hotel and seven eleven shops around. You may change money in hotel shop easily. wifi free internet is not working well in the room because each room have not special password . Hotel offers seceral general passwords and disconnect easily.

Price OK.We were super happy when we were told that we were upgraded VIP floor. However,we did not have access to any of the facilities in the club which indeed closed early.swimming pool looks nice but BE AWARE you need a swimming cap!!! Location close to the Olympic marina. 10 Km away from old town so bear that in mind when booking there as what you are looking for in Qingdao.Nevertheless, taxi is cheap and plenty of options at the door to move around and SUPER IMPORTANT staff speaks good english!!

Location was decent - May 4th Square and Shopping Malls within walking distance, Carrefour across the street, Airport bus beside hotel. Metro line 3 is close, line 2 is under construction just nearby. Another thing I noticed was a minimum to no waiting time at the elevators when ascending from the lobby, but not so when descending to the lobby. So this was good and bad. However the hotel was subpar on just about everything else. Rooms were old, we first had a double room with 2 twins, then they moved us the club floor with 1 large king, but room was same size (kind of like Hong Kong but expect room sizes to be bigger here). Room service was slow, we only asked for a bucket of ice a few times, but needed more than 15-20 min! So we just ate out or ordered normal delivery food. The hotel boasted 5 on site restaurants, but they were all closed when we tried to eat there (around 9 pm). The breakfast was pretty similar to what you get at mid level hotels, however they claimed not to be able make omelets on the day we left. Even though I had them previous days. All summed up, Location is great but don't expect too much if you decide to stay here. Staying here during summer holiday peak time is overpriced.

Where to start? Depressing room with bad lighting/air, crappy gym, bad WiFi, ... and the icing on the cake was the fake massage service! When leaving the gym on the 3rd or 4th floor (I don't remember exactly which), I saw a desk with a sign "massage". I was very happy because I had issues with my legs/hips. When I told the woman at the desk I wanted a massage she called another woman, and instead of getting me a bed there for the massage, she told me we have to go to my room. Well, foolish me, I thought OK, maybe that is how they do it in China. She had absolutely no idea how to give a massage and tried several times to entice me into a "happy ending" (or was it a "happy beginning" because it didn't take her five minutes to propose that) ignoring my firm answer I don't want that. I am not a puritan and have no issues with people buying/selling sexual favors, if they want to. But I think a hotel that has a big sign at the reception claiming to be "an official bla bla of the Beijing Olympics" should at least ensure the services that are provided inside their hotel are legit. Disappointed!

How to say it.... I many time choose Millennium group hotels in Singapore, Bangkok, Wuxi and elsewhere. This Copthorne hotel was corporate rate my company, and so decided to give it a try; also because the "ranking on tripadviser" (6th out of all Qingdao hotels) did not raise any questioning.. Well, how to say. The hotel did on several points not meet my expectation, for 5* experience: 1. decoration definitely need overhaul. rooms are clean but carpet is "lived" and furniture is "dated". 2. minibar empty 3. TV channels have the international news, but no movie channels like HBO or other. 4. I had a midnight arrival. On entering the room, the electricity for room light, room power and aircon not worked. Had to call for assistance to check it out. Turned out some fuses in mainfuse box in clauset turned off. I can understand the hotel put off for the rooms "not in use"; but definitely should be secured/checked for "put it on" before guest check-in-arrive. It became even more frustrating, because front desk nightshift person not good English understanding. Given the TOP location in Qingdao (Close to center and sea shore), with improvements to the above, this hotel could do much better, living up to "my other Millenium experiences". The bed was between soft-hard to hard. Not my preference but had a good rest sleep anyway. The air conditioning and wifi were working perfect; for noise had to turn down to low airfan speed at sleep. The breakfast, I could do my usual scrambled veggy egg, orange juice, salad and yoghurt. But also here, I had the overall feeling/experience of "China branded 5*" hotel. For me, there are better options arround, not so much depending on LOCATION.

I stayed in this Hotel from 26th to 28th March, centrally located, Clean & Good Rooms. Excellent & very helpful staff. Breakfast is ok & very near to the hotel is Mc Donald, Pizza Hut & KFC. There is also a underground market just outside the Hotel.
