We stayed at this hotel a couple of times. And I would recommend it because the hotel is quite, clean, with big rooms and friendly staff. It is nicely located and has its special pleasant atmosphere and also one of the best restaurants in the area.
Place was grand but Internet were absolutely terrible. It kept disconnecting and when it finally connects, its very very slow. Restaurant staff were very slow and forgot about our drinks. They don't sell international adaptor either.
We decided to booked our last minute trip with this hotel since it stated on the site that it's a 4 star hotel and for affordable price..very disappointed of the room..no telephone or any information about the hotel! The room was not smelling fresh when we entered! For us it looks like a two star hotel..the ambiance is also not that inviting..we feel like we were in a hospital...they can better state that it's a 2star hotel then our expectation will not be that high...
No wifi in the room. When I went to tell the front desk, they told me maybe too many people were on the network. Considering it was the off season, this was hilarious. And rather than make an effort to move me to a different room or fix the problem, I just had to spend 50€ over two days to use roaming data to get internet outside my home country on my personal devices. That 50€ was the "savings" I thought I would have by staying here instead of inside Amsterdam. I've learned my lesson and will never stay here again. I should have noted that there is no attention to detail at this hotel: they don't even bother to check the English spelling of "downstairs" which is printed in large letters across from their front desk. They have it as "downstair's". I should have known from the start that this would be a poor stay. Will recommend any of my friends and colleagues NOT to stay here. PS When asked how my stay was when checking out, no attempt was made to adjust my bill. They simply said, "we will look into that." I know they didn't.
Food wonderful Breakfasts endless with high quality hot English type and great fresh bread, fresh produce buffet Golf course looks wonderful Rooms enormous and quiet Lovely places to sit Beautiful countryside but 10 minutes away from station Lovely people
Out of all the hotels we've stayed at I have never been so grossed out as I am by this place. Upon arriving g to our room we already wanted to check out and spent literally an hour looking for another place to stay. Unfortunately everything in the area was booked and we had to suck it up. The front desk moved us to another room, which is somewhat better but judge for yourself when you see our pictures. Don't be fooled by the other pictures posted, not all rooms have been redone. Ours had 4 twin beds, tv, etc. Not enough electrical outlets, no A/C, not even shampoo/soap amenities. The staff is nice and the do what they can with what they have. The walk to the parking lot seems like forever. Parking is free. The hotel restaurant has ice, just go with your bucket and they'll give you some. We will not be returning to this hotel, nor do we recommend anyone stay here until it's updated.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in a business trip and had a room on the bottom floor. The room was very large, clean and modern and the bathroom was lovely! I ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious! Breakfast was also quite good. It's a lovely hotel for a business trip.
We stayed here because of the special offer this hotel provided in one of the hotel bookers. So the price was good comparing to other possibilities. However, they definitely do not meet a 4-stars ranking. The rooms have to be renewed and sound isolated. In our room there was a constant noise from the service rooms which are adjacent to every room in the huge corridor. Also the rooms are dusty and old. We noticed that there are some renovated rooms but probably they belong to a superior category. The breakfast is expensive 14eur per pers per day. But sometimes they give you an online discount while booking. The surrounding is great. All is green and beautiful. The golf fields are spectacular. It's a very calm and relaxed location. If you are coming by car, and wish to visit Amsterdam, you can do a following trick: - Go to P+R parking (the nearest is Zuiderzeeweg) - leave you car there, buy the discounted tram tickets - go to city center in 10 mins - when return pay only 1eur for the parking. Unfortunately we had to discover this procedure by ourselves, a lady on reception had no clue on what's the best way getting to Amsterdam by car.
The room was very clean. Big and comfortable. We had a wonderful bed, clean and very nice linens, nice pillows ...The bathroom was also very clean. Breakfast was exquisite. Too impressive. It had everything and in large quantities... I think I will definitely go back ...
A great three-night stay over Easter, this hotel is perfect for those with a car who need free parking and don't want to be stuck in the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. We stayed in one of the rooms near reception which are enormous for European standards, very quiet and comfortable. Free wifi in the rooms. Breakfast is not cheap but you have a great selection of hot items, including crepes, and cured meats and cheese, as well as pastries and croissants. There is a great selection of restaurants in the nearby town of Purmerend, all on the main square; we went to the Italian restaurant Sappori and were delighted with the food.
