Avoid at all costs; you'll spend a ridiculous amount of money kiteboarding, riding atvs, eating, etc. The daily $30 per adult day pass grants entrance to a pool, all other activities and food are additional. It's grossly over-inflated price-wise for the area. There are several wonderful smaller places along Punta Chame with actual fresh food and genuine hospitality; everyone working there seemed truly miserable.
Where to start, Really bad Internet connection in the rooms Way too many employees a dm a few guest dogs on the public areas including the restaurant, is this a hotel or a pet hotel? You might find dog pup in the sand next to the hotel The rooms have a really basic decoration and one night no room cleaning, Decent food and variety in the menu "but "when you ask for something 40% it's not available for service, lack of training in the staff, had to speak with the GM 4 times and complain, he was helpful but limited due to unprofessional staff, Checkout its a disaster, 25 minutes and 8 guess waiting after me. I will not come back again soon!
a great place where you can make your dreams come true if you think about them enough and organize them always trying to get better and that the key to excellence . its a unique location in the world where you can do any extreme sport known to man kind
Went to Nitro City Resort in February with my partner. The activities were expensive, but we decided to try a few different things. Specifically, we were there for kite surfing. We both paid for a total of three hours each of kite surfing over two days. We only were able to go 1.5 hours and were promised a refund of the 1.5 hrs to our credit card. We gave them all of our information, have tried contacting the resort and owner endlessly and NO RESPONSE. It is now April, and WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. I am asking for you guys to hold up your end of the bargain, and give us our REFUND. This is brutal, we spent over $1,000 at this place.
Cool spot if your into extremely sports or surfing and a huge bar area that probably gets going on the weekend. It reminds me of a place the hippies would play in British Columbia. Not for an old guy like me. Beach walk was awesome and the beers were cold. Great day trip from Coronado.
We came in low season and on Monday: meaning no other guests, 'private Nitro City'. That was nice, but my husband wanted to do cable wakeboarding and rent kitesurfing gear, which was both not possible on this quiet day. We only got 20% off day-pass price (100% = $ 30) and food and drinks are ridiculously expensive. But the pool and chill area are beautiful and so is the view on the beach. We can imagine Nitro City on a busy day can be a blast! And last but not least: super child and baby friendly. Huge play area!
This is not your typical hotel, this a super pet-friendly (and I do mean the superlative, dogs can be anywhere on the grounds, no need to confine them to specific areas) sports-oriented hotel. There's not much luxury but it has everything you need, the beach is nice and wide and the food is good. Overall a pleasant experience and I have gone again and again on account of their dog-friendly policies and attitudes and my little furry friend who I love going to the beach with.
Ok, so here goes my review, since I just stayed there and the memories are fresh. I had heard about Nitro City since it opened, but hadn't had a chance to go and stay. First, the good things: This resort is not massive, which is great. In other larger places, you feel cramped and suffocated by the amount of guests - especially during national holidays. All the rooms have ocean views and are a good size and very comfortable. They have a/c, cable tv, wifi, good size bathrooms... basically all the "essentials". The staff was very friendly and helpful. The list of available activities is also very extensive. It includes both "land" and "water" options. Obviously, since Nitro City's theme is "extreme sports", they are all tailored for that. They offer Motocross, Rally Car driving, sailing, jet skies, wake boarding, etc... The bad: The aforementioned activities are expensive. Maybe someone can argue that the prices are similar to ones in resorts in other countries; but for Panama, they're expensive. Examples: Half-hour jet ski rental: $60. Food and Beverage: MAJOR complaint in this category. Drink prices (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are steep. Small water bottles are $2.50 each, small alcoholic drinks (whiskey, rum, pina colada, etc) are $6 each. The food is also pricey and not very good. I have examples of this also, but I won't bore anyone reading this far with the details. This is an area of major improvement for the resort. If they're going to charge steeply, at least the food should reflect the prices. Also important to point out: The hotel plays music all day long. The music is cool and enjoyable BUT it is played VERY loudly; especially if you're at the pool. There are two speakers above the poolside bar blasting music constantly. Now, I AM NOT an old geezer that complains about music that's a little loud. This was full-on blast. All they have to do (and people will still enjoy and have a great time) is lower the volume a little. All in all, we had a great time. Will we go back? Probably, but we'll bring our own sandwiches and drinks.
Came here with my daughter, especially for motocross. Now they tell me there are no bikes. Nobody said that when I made the reservation. This really sucks!!! Have been looking forward to this trip a long time and now i'm very dissapointed.
We arrived in the afternoon ,there was no smile during check in no interest in the client. no help finding the room . Room was basic cllean but the furniture is worn out, the proteccion of the electricity in the floor ( why there) no ida was broken., the phone did not work. The Safe in the room did not work so I went to the exception asking for help got an universal key , did not work either. We did not have any chairs outside to sit as our neighbours a big group of friend took all the chairs, asking at the reception if they could help or maybe have two chairs no nothing they did or wanted to do. All in all it was just sad to see none of the people working had any clients interest in their mind.
