The Reserve was closed; we were notified of this (via email) only 3 hours before our flight departed. We were offered the Grand Reserve as an alternative, a horrible alternative. A much better option would have been Paradisus Palm Real (the beach is closest to this property and it's a beautiful resort). They alleged there was construction at a nearby resort forcing the closure of the Reserve; that is not true. Secerak of the employees said tbe reserve will be closed for 6 months, due to renovations, that seems false as well. We are very dissatisfied with Melia and the entire experience.

I had a great time. Loved the pool and the food. On site transportation to the beach was frequent. Foam in the pool was cool, Zumba and water aerobics were fun. I met some good people there. The yoga was really stretching on the beach, i.e fake yoga lol but all in all, I would go here again.
The property is beautiful The ground is well maintained But Our room is 13 minutes walk from the beach, not 1 min as advertised The room is spacious and nice but bedding and towels are old and of lower quality, not worthy of a 5 stars rating Food in the buffet is good but food in the restaurants are awful, not much selection and service in the restaurant is slow and inconsistent Food and service at the pool was horrible Overall we believe this property should only classified as a 4 stars resort You The customer service manager reached out to us after learning about our complaints..he tried to rectify some problems but certain things are out of his control ...it has to be corrected at the corporate level..we would like to acknowledge Mr. Ezequiel Alvarez for his efforts..some staffs deserve our praise and gratitude for taking good care of us. Emelia Contreras, Daniel Liven in the restaurant..our building concierge also did an excellent job..unfortunately I forgot his name
We had an issue with a severe leak in our bathroom ceiling. The hotel was very accommodating in switching us to a new room pretty quickly. One 2 occasions there AppStore’s be men peaking from behind trees at us while we were the only ones in the kids pool.

Cold water in a room for two days .Nobady info us what heppend. New Sun glasses was stolen from The room Menagment do Not see a The problem. After night service ( housekeeping) they left my Door unlocked . :(((
Nice hotel. Staff was friendly but did not speak much English. We upgraded to the Royal Service and thought the room should have been nicer but the location to the beach was great. Check in was a bit confusing and so was navigating the resort. Overall we would definitely stay there again!
It didn't live up to the hype! The hotel and grounds are pretty but felt the service and food mediocre. We decided to do the family concierge based all the positive reviews we have read. Our family concierge was suppose to meet us at check-in, never did. We had to call and request him to find us. They use an app to communicate request to your concierge which was helpful since they have multiple families they are working with. Unfortunately their were many request not done and when I pointed out things he got snippy. I felt he should have anticipated our needs and instead of me asking him daily for the same things(ex. reserved spots at the pool). We stayed 4 nights and housekeeping only cleaned our room 1 day. We would leave at 9am and return at 4pm to the room and asked multiple times to have it cleaned. The pools are very deep, I would recommend bringing a float or a noodle not just for your kids but also for the adults.
From the day we arrived on 7/27/18 Henry Cordones went above and beyond to make sure our stay at The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana was perfect. He showed us to our room, explained the amenities, made sure our restaurants were set up on the first day so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. At times when we needed a shuttle or car to our restaurant there was Henry setting it up to make sure we made it on time. On top of this excellent service from Henry the hotel is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, great food, friendly and helpful staff. I was so happy with everything that I signed up for their timeshare and can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much Henry Cordones and the rest of the staff at The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana for making our stay amazing and perfect.
The grounds and buildings are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is completely out of touch and incapable of fulfilling the simplest request. Language was not the issue as we had several Spanish speakers in our group. Do not be tempted by the pictures on line you will be disappointed in paradise, there are far too many other places in the world to visit and spend your hard earned money. Getting your water glass filled at dinner is a struggle for their staff, Orbitz should not feature this hotel.
This was our first trip to Punta Cana. From the first day we arrived at “The Reserve Paradisus Punta Cana” everyone went above and beyond from time of check in to the time we checked out. This resort is by far the best all inclusive we have stayed at. The staff, drinks, food, excursions, comfort of the bed and entertainment was awesome. This resort was constantly cleaning and stayed immaculate. Every staff member always greeted you with hello and a smile everyday. I would definitely recommend this resort.
