The food at the resort was amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. The restaurants offered a great variety of options, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. However, compared to other H10 hotels we have visited, there were not many activities or entertainment options available throughout the day and evening. The resort felt much quieter and offered less to do than we expected. There were also a lot of children throughout the resort, which may be great for families, but it was not the atmosphere we were looking for. Additionally, one of our rooms had a noticeable moldy smell that was unpleasant during our stay. The staff was friendly, and the property was generally clean and well maintained, but the lack of activities, the mold smell in our room, and the overall atmosphere prevented this from being a higher-rated experience. Overall, the food was excellent, but there are several areas that could be improved.

Took our 16 and 18 year-old here with us. our 16-year-old had a fantastic time tending to his own wants and needs. The strikes building with the bowling, chess, pool, gaming, etc. was awesome for him and us at night after dinner. We loved that the gym was open 24 hours. There’s a great coffee shop named Mike’s that my husband and my six-year-old went to every morning around 7:30 and praised it every single time they came back. We utilized every restaurant there except for blue moon because it was an 18+ restaurant. Our favorites were the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant. We loved the two separate large pools and the closeness of lunch and the beach at the second pool. The entertainment was fantastic a constantly try to get everyone involved in scheduled events right by the pool. We enjoy doing noon aerobics every day in the pool even my 18-year-old. We actually never left the property and it was absolutely fine not doing so we did hear about many off resort trips from other guests, but decided to stay on property. What I do recommend is making sure that you have ample medication in case you get a gastritis issue we did utilize the clinic there. They did accept our insurance but you had to pay a $250 deductible that my insurance company will reimburse. They were great in there. Three of the four of us got sick. She gave us plenty supplies for three of us with only me being checked in for the one $250 deductible. I’ve become sick and many countries this was fantastic.

I recommend that you learn to speak some Spanish. Although some staff does speak English, majority do not. The food is average, & honestly made our stomachs messed up. Mostly same daily as well. Drinks are not that strong, but decent variety. The app is helpful for events, but the events aren’t that good, they have bingo, a decades show and some other things. Honestly, the best one was the water aerobics and the pool side games, but it’s so hot and there is like no shade in the pools. Like 20-25 minutes from the airport, but nothing really around the resort. Beach is nice, has covered chair and none covered. Also a beach bar. By the pool a lot of the umbrellas are super low, which was annoying to get out of. I liked that your wristband was your card key, and they have a shuttle that runs almost all day, very convenient. Gym was nice. They also have a bowling alley, vr, gift shops, and a small casino. Also, very important, there are no elevators, so make sure if you need that 1st floor accommodation, you let them know. There are some ramps to make things accessible, but no lifts for the pool or anything. Most of the seating is size friendly.

The cleaning staff if the rooms was the number one thing that was great about the resort!!!! The staff were not helpful with anything, pushed to go to the “privilege” presentation and offered free massages but because we had an excursion planned we were dismissed.

The resort is lovely and well maintained. However, mornings are difficult because guests reserve chairs with towels long before using them. It would be great if the hotel updated this policy.

We paid for upgraded "privilege" status which advertised an expedited check in process and personal concierge service. The check in process was a dismal failure of over 45 minutes - with no line. It would have been comedic had we not traveled for over 12 hours and were absolutely starving. The concierge service was also worthless. You are much better off making your own reservations to the restaurants and amenities. In short, the basic services you would expect from a resort were disappointing. The privilege status also advertised top-shelf alcohol. They are heavy on Scotch and light on bourbon. They have plenty of good rum available at the regular status. If you are a scotch drinker- the upgrade would be good for you. If you are not the regular status would be just fine. Now the good part- the service staff were all amazing. The bar tenders, restaurant workers, shuttle drivers, housekeeping... all wonderful. The food and beverages were of good quality, and the restaurants offered a change from the buffet. My closing would be- I am not sure if the increased cost of the upgraded status was actually worth it. I would caution anyone considering it against it.

We had a great stay at Ocean Blue and Sand! Our room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping did an amazing job on a daily basis, leaving the room clean with plenty of towels. The different figures made out of towels and flowers was a nice touch. Food was amazing! We tried all of the restaurants and they were all great. Mike’s coffee was fabulous, offering a huge selection of coffee and tea beverages, along with cakes, pastries and cheesecakes. The buffet was incredible, offering a wide range of food types and cocktails. Staff were very friendly and hardworking. The beach was gorgeous. White sand and turquoise water. Two massive pools. Our bartender at the swim up bar was very entertaining, making great cocktails. The grounds were maintained impeccably. Workers were out early morning raking fallen palm leaves and cutting dead branches. Our Expedia rep Rona went above and beyond to help us.
