The staff was awesome - and always smiling and helpful! We normally don't stay at hotels this large but really enjoyed the extra amenities!

Our room was hot. The AC didn’t work until the last night. We lost power 5 times during our short 3 day stay. I have big bites (possibly bed bugs) on my body.

overall , My son and I had a good time. Walking the beach, etc.

Fantastic experience at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro- I’d definitely come back. This is my sixth time in Punta Cana but first at this hotel and we all really enjoyed it. The staff and managers are so attentive, kind, and willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend it.

7 days and the mini bar was always warm, they dont change the sheets they just make the bed, getting beach towels took us 3 days and the staff was rude and didnt care. the manager basically just says yes and there is nothing i can do when it is to resolve anything, laundry service was difficult and hard to get our clothes back, we only asked for ice 1 time because the phone lines just rang and rang or we would get bounced around and it would take forever

They need more staff to work. Lines to a buffet is a 15 min because tables are not being cleaned right away. Cleaning of the pool with Clorox while people were in the pool. Need to take trailers around the resort It's too big to walk around If it rains you have no place to hide

Clean and warm hotel. Well kept and maintain.Excellent food, great cocktails, a lot of day and night events to enjoy our vacation. The personnel working day to day providing hot food, cold drinks and different activities are the ones that made the difference. Personnel is awesome...

Just had a nice stay, staff very friendly. The facilities are pleasant and well-maintained, very user-friendly. The main buffet restaurants and snack areas were fine if a little boring after a few days. All in all a very good value for the money. Kids waterpark was good fun and the main pool atmosphere was enjoyable if not always perfectly clean with so many people. Definitely worth the money paid, would do it again for sure

Proximity to beach, nice spread of food, courteous staff and evening events

We enjoyed this resort very much. We went up and down the shorelines to riu and iberostar and Grand Bahia's beaches were far superior. The groundskeepers keep this resort and beach spotless. The food is fantastic and the drinks are as well. This resort is like a small town, there is no reason to leave because there is so much going on all day and night long. This resort is a little hard to navigate at first but the staff is very helpful in guiding you. Highly recommended. Just be sure to buy and print your tourist card ($10) ahead of time online before getting there. We waited well over an hour at the airport.

We stayed at this resort for a week in March, 2017. Overall, the trip was decent, but few things will prevent me from ever coming back... Pros: 1) the cleanest beach around 2) immaculate lawn care & well kept grounds/room. Cons: 1) it is NOT an All-Inclusive resort. Resort is advertised as offering 9 restaurants...However, you can only choose 3 restaurants - i.e. you can only have THREE a la carte meals per stay period! The rest of the time you get to eat at the buffet that offers pretty much the same food every day (decent enough to fill your belly, but don't expect to enjoy it)... 2) I was aware of the stealing issues this resort has based on the multiple reviews I've read before travel, so I was extra careful (paid for safe). Once we were passing by the lobby and had our beach stuff with us, so we left it on one of the chairs in the lobby and went in to have lunch...Half an hour later our stuff was gone. More disappointing was staff's response to the incident. I was told there are cameras in the lobby... I came back to guest services 5 times inquiring if they checked the cameras and each time the agent took my room # and promised to get back to me...One agent asked me when the incident happened and when I said "yesterday" his response was "oh it hasn't been 72 hrs - come back in 2 days" DISGUSTING! 3) Service at buffet leaves much to be desired... you have to ask the server to bring you coffee/water and almost every time we'd be done eating before they do that...

Over all service and employee dedication to us CUSTOMER is poor. Employees are rude, the facility looks good but service is bad. Only two towels for room, same food everyday, not enough chairs for the all , very crowded and not enough employees. During the time spend on the beach, a very annoying individual always swiping sands of the chairs, even though we are laying there. Very uncomfortable. I will not recommend this hotel to any body that I care for.

The rooms need a bit of improvements and updates specially the bathrooms, The Carib Ian restaurant needs an overoll update specially the floors all the tables while eatting rock back and forth The food on the buffets close to the beach was always cold, I u der stand they are close to the water but it should take the necessary measures to improve the problem the orbitz representative at the hotel was very rude and should not be there to help customers and represent orbitz

all good. We only got to the buffet -- apparently you can go to up to three of the service restaurants without extra charge but we didn't learn that til too late to make reservations. Not much English among staff so a few things hard to figure out.

I went for a relaxing week away from work and did just that did not visit pool nor beach but was told that it was good its a nice place to relax and have fun. Hotel staff was generally friendly and support services good but like most poor countries you get the odd ones trying to pry out an extra dollar from your pocket like the taxi drivers and so. I am from the Caribbean and found that my diet was not catered for no pepper sauce and spicy food would be a nice addition to the menu if they are to attract visitors like me but it was generally good.

Coming in to the hotel was very nice expect when trying to ask for service, smokers are allowed to smoke everywhere, even in dinning places. Not enough activities for everyone. Room service never answered their service line in the 6 days I stayed. Stocking up the room & clean towels were only done once during my stay. I have been to DR 4 times & this was the worst service hotel experience I've had.

It was wonderfull experience, so beautiful hotel, so friendly staff, so good food and we enjoyed every day to stay here!

Starting with check in, got in from airport and check in was held back for more than an hour. Couldn't make reservations for any of the restaurants because they were booked for up to a week. Grounds look run down and room was in need of new comforters and some bleach. Pool closed one day at 5:30 and staff could do better with their customer service skills.
