Love this place quiet place but would recommend the price of restaurants to be cheaper and affordable but enjoyed everything
This property is operated by villa del palmar. The hotel was was nice however when we arrived we got asked to go to a timeshare presentation. After we declined that’s when it all changed. The were rude from there on. We asked if we could buy the all inclusive and they said we had to pay $100 per person per day when on their website it’s advertised for $49 and free for kids. I asked if I could change my reservation to get the price from orbitz and they said that they didn’t have a problem with me changing it but orbits might charge me cancellation fees but that they didn’t since I had booked thru orbitz... I decided to call orbitz and explained the situation they agreed to help but had to check with the hotel to make sure they didn’t have a problem or extra fees. After all this work the hotel told orbits that if I canceled or made any change I would have to pay for the the remaining days. These people are just shady and will try to squeeze every dollar out of you. This was our second time staying here and it will be our last.
Easy access and nice paths for walking. It should have more space reserved for the older on the beach are such chairs and shade. Maybe, they do but I didn’t know. Everything else great!
This property is great, close to everything you want... Mall, restaurants, grocery, stores, etc... you walk out and enjoy the city of Puerto Vallarta.
I liked that this property is close to shopping stores and the bus stop to the Malecon is right in front of the property (only $10 pesos vs the $100+ taxi or uber charges). The maintenance staff were super friendly but the check in staff I found them to be a little rude. They ask for every adult’s ID, so when my mom and sister checked in, they asked mom why her last name was different to hers. Then when I checked in I was asked if my boyfriend was my husband and the father to my baby...WTH? What my family and I didn’t like was that we were asked our room number every single time we entered the resort, kinda annoying. My room in particular didn’t have hot water. The food was not that great and overpriced. Overall, it’s an OK resort to me.
Bed bugs, undisclosed charges for maid service and internet access, per device, and a complete lack of customer concern.

Hotel with very small beach attached to it. Room had water leakage from AC unit, but technician fixed it quickly. Mattress and linens were having a musty odor maybe due to humid conditions. But, it was unpleasant to sleep in the night. Food, entertainment and hotel/restaurant staff were very good.
We enjoyed our stay at this location. They had great beach area with three pools. The food was great ,peple were very friendly and it was a few minutes ride to the boardwalk. We did NOT like that they charged us $10 for WiFi for each line per day. Also when we checked in they didn’t informed us that they will add 12.5% gratitude automatically for all the food we ordered so we end up paying tips & 12.5 additional. That was really upsetting for us.

We booked this hotel specifically because it was close to the airport. After a long day, we arrived at the hotel for our one night stay just to be told that they did not have a room available for us. They said that they were going to pay for a taxi (which we didn't need since we had a rental car) to take us to another hotel that was 30 minutes away in Nuevo Vallarta. This was absolutely not acceptable to us. We were not here for a vacation and simply wanted to rest before our flight early the next day. The people at the front desk laughed at us and our predicament and refused to offer any way to resolve our problem. We ended up going to the Holiday Inn Express nearby.
We have chosen this resort several times because it has several features we enjoy. The swimming pools and hot tubs are good. We enjoy the beach access and beach volleyball and activities. The Bocce Ball is fun, but should be leveled better. Rooms have a partial kitchen that we enjoy. The beds are comfortable. Good romantic getaway.
I would not stay in the same room. To much noise. But it was great.
staff all friendly and helpful. Not a word about time shares. The Villa del mar is the quiet side of this resort. Nice to have busy side right there too. Kinda missed wifi as I felt $10/day was kinda high. $3-4 cab ride to everything. Airport a bit more. Didn't get the first floor room we had requested. We got by.
1. 2 hours to get checked in between problems with them not having the whole reservation. Then get sales pitched like I'm at a time share. 2. The room, villa del Mar must mean the old building or the Villa Del Pal Mar group 3. All inclusive and get charged for internet in 2016. 4. The tub is tiled which has a certain ick factor in the grout lines. 5. The food is really good.
The hotel is a three star and the rating is justified. Good location and friendly staff. Caters to mass travel and membership clients. Good for budget travelers.
Good facility with kitchenettes. Activities and beach. Safe feeling. Some rooms are noisy if near road terrible. Change rooms if you get one.
They were still renovating the hotel. But we have been there before and we know that usely everything is clean and staff are nice. If you want an hotel to have good Time and the Liberty to cook your own food, it's a good chiite for you.
My girlfriend and I went on a vacation with 2 other couples and had a great time! For our budget we got exactly what we wanted. If you are going for more upscale and fancy then this is not necessarily the best place for that, but if you are going for a nice place that has a great staff and you are somewhat budget conscious then this is a great place! We did the all inclusive deal and the food was great! Overall, I would definitely go back and do it all over again!
