The worst, this is not a hotel. Never stay again in my life

EVERY TIME I WENT INTO MY ROOM I ADMIRED THE COLOR OF THE WALLS AND THE PAINTINGS HANGING THERE. I WANTED TO SIT OUT ON THE BALCONY BUT DIDN´T HAVE TIME AND THE CHAIR WOULDN´T GO THROUGH THE DOOR. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT I´M ALLERGIC TO COLD SHOWERS EVEN IN A HEAT WAVE. THANKS FOR MAKING MY STAY PLEASANT. LOVED THE GREEN TEA IN THE LOBBY AND THE OLD SEWING MACHINE, JUST LIKE THE ONE THAT CLOTHED ME AND MY 4 KIDS FOR 20 ODD YEARS. I´M HOPING TO RETURN ONE DAY, GOOD LUCK,,,LIZ

Pleasantly surprised....very pleased with my two-night stay. Sure it's an older property but was very clean, had a great bed and shower. It's several blocks back from the beach, so you're in the locals part of Old Town...a big plus for some. I was given a room with a balcony, but many of the rooms face inside and don't have. The balcony definitely added to the experience. I'll consider staying again next time.

The hotel is a great choice for those wanting economy and the Mexican culture experience. Location is away from the beach near local taco stands and other traditional places to grab a bite. All surrounding food was excellent, costs were very good. The hotel is newly remodeled, staff is very nice and helpful. My room was the type with a kitchen-ette. A bit more pricey than the others, but worth it. A balcony over the street and plenty of room. The fridge was convenient. I would definitely stay here again! I have not rated it fives for everything because this is not a 5 star hotel. That does not mean it is any less than great.

I enjoyed my stay. Close to food, drinks, beach and local shopping. A walk up with comfy bed, a/c and helpful staff. Bring ear plugs as it's on busy street. Friendly staff.

Belmar Hotel was a last minute purchase and was a delightful surprise.Room was clean airy and quiet .Staff were helpful and location superb on busy street.I would stay here again and again

The staff at this hotel are superb - friendly, helpful, accommodating. Top notch staff. The rooms are clean, and pretty basic. This is not a luxury hotel - that said, the beds are comfy, the shower is hot if you want, cold if you want. The artwork in the hotel is great. And the location is close to much of what the Zona has to offer. Also, it feels very safe and secure. For a budget minded traveler this is a nice choice. This hotel is on a VERY busy street, and the hotel is quite loud from the street below 24 hours a day - not from guests in the hotel, but from the street below. Keep this in mind - hard to get a good night's rest.

The hotel has lovely art in all the rooms and hallways. Great morning coffee. Pleasant staff. Puerto Vallarta is amazing!!!!

Walking distance to the beach, nightlife, restaurants, and easy access for the bus. Clean cozy hotel for budgeting travelers, I will be staying here in the future

Belmar is a budget friendly clean basic hotel in central location in Downtown Puerto Vallarta.Friendly staff & complimentary coffee is available in the lobby every morning. Ideal location

It's just the basics, but you can ask to stay in the special instead of the studio and you get a microwave and fridge. The staff is great and art is awesome. Not recommended for kids or groups the rooms only sleep two.

It was somehow bad. Don't waste your money. There are better choices.

This is a very good hotel choice for the traveler seeking a good location in the heart of Old Town Puerto Vallarta near restaurant row, tavernas, shops and music. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Caveats: The diesel buses and traffic are very noisy on the main cobblestone street directly facing the hotel. Buses stop after midnight, and traffic dies down. Also, there are no elevators, but it is good exercise climbing the stairs. The emphasis on contemporary art makes this hotel special. Have fun in Vallarta.

We had a wonderful day and night, good customer service, attentive, polite , Hotel was very clean .

Great location. Room very clean. Bed small. Can be noisy. No elevator (if it is important). Lot of good food places near the hotel. It is a great value for a budget minded traveler.

After staying 1 night I returned back to the hotel during the second day and was told that I had only purchased 1 night. Lucky that I had printed out my reservation and when I showed them that everything was fine. Sounds like they were trying to take advantage of me.

It almost feels like stepping back in time. The view from my third floor, exterior facing room looked down on the historic architecture all around. The building itself is old, but has been maintained beautifully and converted into a gallery of local artists. It was a real treat. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no elevator. I didn't mind the hike up to the third floor, but making two trips to carry my luggage in and out might detour some travelers.
