Very nice resort. Has good food options nearby, but also not a bad drive to downtown. Overall, this is a good place if you just want to relax and not so much “go out”.

The grounds were beautiful and the restaurants and restaurant staff were excellent. The front staff needed a lot of training as they moved us to 4 different rooms when they needed ours for wedding events. They changed our rates each time and it went from $240 to $500 a day, Love the overall hotel, hated the changing rooms and prices.

Good location, polite staff, great food. But I booked the trip in February with the option to lock in the dates and price. I just arrived 6/16/25 and was quoted an increase due to the resort fee changed. I need that to make sense. How can I choose the reserve now pay later and the price change?

Booked through Expedia. At the time of booking a daily resort credit of $30 was an option to choose. Upon arriving , both the hotel and Expedia was unaware although it is clear as day on the website. Very disappointing and considering the hotel is outdated and not busy, I understand why they chose to act this way. I will Definitely not bet back.

It was a nightmare. Construction non-stop. We were in the Mexican side which was noisy and kids were running everywhere. We asked for a quiet room and it was even worse even though there was no one there. The restaurants and shops were closed. Everything was very inconvenient and far away from the rooms. The worst vacation experience ever. The should close the hotel like the Marriott did this summer. We will never return there.

It was between seasons -- spring break and summer tourists -- so the property was under cleaning and reno ops, but didn't take away from overall wonderful services. The staff from getting out of our vehicle to leaving was superb. Everyone aimed to please with genuine hospitality and customer service. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. If you cannot find something from the lavish breakfast buffet, you are not hungry! The pool and beach were well-maintained. Although this property shows some age, it is a large convention site that caters to guests' needs. Close to the airport and near the marina with a few shops and restaurants, I will admit it is a little farther than preferred for downtown sites, restaurants and shopping. Uber is the way to go!

This has been, without a doubt, the worst resort experience of my life. My stay at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa from May 14-20th was a parade of incompetence, disrespect, and outright theft. If I could give zero stars, I would. Let's start with the "Spa & Confusion" debacle. On Saturday, May 18th, around 11 AM, my wife tried to book a spa appointment for Monday. Initially, only afternoon slots were available, so she booked for 3 PM. Shortly after, realizing it conflicted with other activities, she cancelled it at the spa. Later that day, around 2 PM, I went back to the spa to reschedule for Monday morning, and suddenly, 10 AM was available – conflicting with what we were initially told. Fine, we booked it. Then, the true nightmare began. My wife received a call from the spa claiming we missed a Saturday appointment. This was baffling, as we never scheduled for Saturday! We were forced to waste our time trying to confirm there would be no cancellation charges and that our Monday appointment was correct. The front desk spa worker on the phone, instead of clarifying, became aggressive, snapped at my wife, blamed her, and then hung up on her mid-sentence. The concierge then told us we might get a cancellation charge and that the original Monday 3 PM appointment was indeed cancelled. Fast forward to Monday morning, 10 AM, we arrive for our rescheduled couples massage. The person checking us in, Lupita, rudely stated there was an appointment for 3 PM – the one we were
