The staff was alright. But it had a weird setting like it wasn’t clean , the rooms were not dusted , the sheets were just yellow coloured, the diamond deluxe ocean view was a small room considering it’s one of the highest. We went there , had no like nice welcome . Everybody was just wanting to sell you something or upgrade u to legendary which costs more: we were black wristbands but we didn’t know what was included or not , nothing was spoken of. Staff was great, but no cleanliness wasn’t one of the things I didn’t expect

The room was clean but very old and smelly. There was one hostess from the restaurant Umo at dinner time named Alondra who was not very accommodating, she was not nice to our waiter, she did not like the way we placed our food orders, and very unfriendly. Alondra ruined our whole group's appetite! Because of her, I will not rebook the hard rock vallarta again. All of the other employees on the property were all very kind except Alondra!

Expedia deals seem similar to "hotwire" - rooms are substandard to other reservations. The room we got was near noisy construction in an isolated part of the hotel - behind the elevator.

The staff at the resort were all amazing - pool staff, entertainment staff, etc! We found our room to be very humid which left it with a musky smell. It is in need of some upgrades - jetted tub was dirty and bathroom small for a family of four. Other similar rooms we saw from our group appeared to have been upgraded and had the sink separate from the shower/toilet. Those rooms where definitely better!

El hotel está en muy malas condiciones en cuanto a servicios : Nuestra estancia fue de 5 noches No hubo agua en todo el hotel por 10 horas. con esto las condiciones de higiene de todos los huéspedes terrible tanto en restaurantes, baños etc por 2 días la alberca principal contaminada por una tubería de aguas negras, y no tenía señalamientos visibles que diera aviso a la gente que el agua contaminada!!!! Después de dos días abrieron la alberca pero se podía ver el fondo de la alberca sucia y por consiguiente el agua que era un foco de infección y perdieron entrar gente Un día no había agua caliente en nuestra habitación . Muy mala la experiencia!!!

Dinner restaurants were great. Buffets in the morning were not so good. The whole resort lost water the first day we got there and our beg had bugs they had to change to different room. One of the main pools was dirty and closed the second day my son went in the pool not knowing that it had been treated with chlorine until a staff told us to wash his body all they kept saying was sorry for not having signs in the pool area.

Overall the experience was good at this resort, the pool and beach areas were nice and service was good at both, although the poolside can be a bit loud with music and activities from the resort entertainment staff. Most restaurants were good, although the Zen asian restaurant wasn't good food and made everyone sick after eating there. The room was nice, spacious and well kept, bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly and available. There was some overall noise during the day as they are doing some renovations to the exterior of the building.

Las instalaciones muy limpias, la atención de todos los empleados en general, magnífica. Manny del equipo de animación es muy simpático, servicial y amable. La comida deliciosa aunque cabe recalcar que la oferta del buffet es algo limitada. Los restaurantes si tienen más variedad. El chef Juan Carlos del restaurante Ciao e Israel del restaurante Oriental maravillosos y pendientes de cada detalle!!! Como sugerencia diría que deberían reservar un espacio para que los huéspedes que entran y salen puedan dejar sus pertenencias, cambiarse y/o ducharse mientras esperan a que su habitación esté disponible en el caso de la entrada y puedan ducharse en caso de salida tardía ya que el check out es a las 12 y el check in q las 3:35 pm. Great people working here. The Sunbar team were fantastic! Staff at restaurants always go above and beyond and the room was cleaned to perfection daily! Only complaint would be the hard sell vacation staff, we went for the meeting. Actually considered investing in the vacation club but they would not allow us time to think about it. Please reconsider your hard sell and pestering tactics. Leaves a bad taste for an otherwise fantastic experience.

Rooms were clean. Staff is always really friendly. Everything has been great but there are some areas that still need maintenance but I know the hotel is slowly improving it and even without the improvements still one of the places to stay in puerto Vallarta.
