This is a beautiful historic building and we liked our room. Breakfast was only available one of the 3 nights we stayed. The dinner we had one night was very good. It's in a very nice part of town and convenient to walk to center. My biggest complaint is that they expected us to use single use plastic water bottles for all our drinking water with no way to refill them. What happened to the big jugs of drinking water in rooms? They were so much better. This appears true in much of Mexico and is an environmental nightmare. I would also have liked coffee with real milk to be available. Waiting until 8 am for the coffee shop to open was a stretch for us.

Hotel Boutique Casona 65 exceeded all expectations. The room was very clean, spacious, and absolutely beautiful, with great attention to detail and comfort. The entire property has an elegant boutique atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed and well cared for. The staff was truly amazing — warm, professional, and always attentive. A special thank-you to Eduardo, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. His hospitality and dedication made a real difference. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the historic center of Puebla, within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites. The staff was very friendly and greeted us every time we were coming and going. The property maintained its historic charm while updating the rooms. It's conveniently located by the Museo Amparo and a short walk from the main square. It's also connected to an excellent coffee shop if you are a coffee nerd. I would definitely stay here again, but I would consider spending a little extra to get a better room than the basic one. It had more shelving and organizational space than my apartment, and the shower was fantastic. It had good water pressure and was stocked with excellent soaps. But my room had no windows so it would get almost pitch black at night, except for a half-inch gap above the door. That seemed to let in more sound than light, though. The bathroom was also on the second floor, and if you're not careful, you might hit your head on the staircase getting out of bed in the middle of the night. If you do get that same room, I suggest leaving the bathroom light on at night. Overall, safe and clean place ran by friendly folks in a walkable neighborhood with plenty of good food and drink nearby. My specific room just had a few minor quirks.
