The staff was really friendly. The location was stellar. The breakfast was good. The room had high ceilings. Most of the staff spoke English. Felix was very helpful. The room was very light from the hallway and you could hear noises from the hall at night. The ac was loud. I arranged a taxi for 530 am ane it never came. The security guard was able to get us one at 6 am.
This hotel is a few blocks from central and has all of the amenities. Breakfast was included and very good, as as wifi and service in general. The room was very comfortable but one thing, there seemed to be no elevator.
Nice, comfortable and very clean hotel with a friendly staff. Excellent price and location, near the zocalo. Good stay! Hotel muy limpio y agradable, el personal es muy amable y atento. El precio es muy bueno y la ubicación también, cerca del zócalo.
I've stayed here on three occasions, and each has been pleasant. Reception can be a little surly, but the rooms are lovely and spacious with thick walls. Staff are generally helpful although not always terribly well trained at reception. The breakfast is incredibly slow, but that is my only complaint. This is a well located, clean and friendly location.
Good stay. Good customer service.Comfortable rooms with plenty of space. Excellent Food!!! Everyone is very nice. Buen lugar para ospedarse. Buen servicio al cliente. Cuartos comfortables con suficiente espacio. Excelente Comida!!! Todos son muy amables.
By far the best hotel I've stayed in the region. It is located really close to the city Zocalo, beautiful architecture and has an exquisite cuisine. I recommend to visit on August-september to try the Chiles en Nogada. Simply magnificent!
We found Casona San Antonio on Expedia and after reading the reviews here, we booked through Expedia. When we arrived, it didn't seem like much from the outside - it was largely nondescript. Walking in, however changed our opinion. There was a comfortable side room with ample seating and a large, covered beautiful courtyard in the middle. The front desk wasn't particularly welcoming, but they were efficient and checked us into our room quickly. When we got to the standard room, we found it to be pleasant but really small. For example, in order to shut the bathroom door, we had to step into the shower stall to pull it closed. The decor inside was the typical Mexican Traditional style (and similar to just about any other colonial boutique hotel in Mexico). The rooms did have modern TVs, but not many of the channels were in English. In addition, Casona San Antonio has a a workout room which consists mostly of a few cardio machines. Breakfast is included with your room and it is an impressive meal. The choices aren't diverse, but what they do for breakfast, they do quite well. Breakfast service is very pleasant and attentive. And if you want to try something different, there are a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood within walking distance. As for the location, you can't beat Casona San Antonio. It is only a few blocks away from the Zocalo. You can walk to almost any tourist attraction except the Barroco Museo. Overall, Casona San Antonio is a decent hotel with good service. If you can get a good rate there, I'd definitely recommend staying. Before you check into the room, ask them to show it to you before you accept. You don't want to wind up with the small room that we did.
Nice folks. Large rooms. Fantastic location near the zocalo. Traditional mexican decor. Great breakfast included. Overall excellent value. If you arrive late it might help to know a few words of Spanish.
This hotel is located in the historic district of Puebla. The room was spotless. Breakfast was included in the rate. We enjoyed walking to the Zocalo. It's relaxing and a good place for beer or coffee. The front desk was helpful with tour information.
We had 2 double beds and a sofa in a large room of a colonial home. Because it was 4 blocks from the center, it was quiet and comfortable. The shower is large and with powerful water spray. The owner or manager was extremely helpful suggesting things to do. I highly recommend Casona San Antonio.
