My room was in the newer building (the tower); room was clean, staff very friendly. Although the hotel is not close to any other restaurants, the 2 restaurants in hotel had good food and good service. I had dinner on the beautiful outdoor patio by the pool and gardens (recommend the salmon). The only con I encountered was the air conditioning had low output, even on high.

* Quality service at all levels: reception, guards, waiters, phone... Always helpful, always with the smile. (Special thanks to Erick and Ana at reception, and Gloria for the tasty omelettes). * Perfect breakfast and dinner delivered to room. * Confortable rooms. {Exception: showers not very handy in some rooms} * Great quality gym. Cons: * Location: close to industrial area, but far from city center, restaurants and other facilities... * Distances: hotel is pretty spacious. Some facilities of the hotel are far from each others. P.S.: this is a 5 star hotel . Maybe it has been recently upgraded. (I am seeing 4* in the website today)

This hotel is comprised by a number of scattered buildings, some newer than others, and a tower. Except for the tower, the buildings do not have elevators. Pros: Nice outdoor settings, with clean swimming pools and extensive, well kept gardens Both restaurants (steak house and local flavors) have good food, are reasonably priced and have good service. The coffee bar is also great (but that's where the good service stops). Location is convenient for business travelers visiting the industrial area (Volkswagen, San Felipe). Rooms and bathrooms are big, clean and quiet. Cons: Marriott/SPG "elite status" provides access to the executive lounge and lodging in the executive building. The building is inconveniently located far from the lobby/restaurants/business center area - which requires either a 7-minute walk (not bad when you don't have luggage) or wait for a cart service. Breakfast in the executive lounge lacks variety. In general, the lounge is poorly stocked - mostly sodas and coffee. No beer or wine. No non-carbonated options (except for breakfast). The air conditioner of the whole building was defective; even so, it took 3 days of reporting calls for the reception to acknowledge and provide a different room/building. Which only happened when I complained for the fourth time, at 3 am, when the heat was suffocating. The hotel is built next to a river-sewage that emanates nasty odors all day and all night; while Puebla's fresh weather would allow to sleep with the windows open, the smell requires to keep them closed and use the A/C. Final comments: Other than the hotel's, there are no other restaurants at walking distance. But in all fairness, taxis are very affordable and fine places are only at a 12-15 minute ride away. I also learned that the hotel has gone through three different owners in the last four years while keeping the Marriott brand. I believe that these frequent changes of management style have affected the quality of the service and the way budget is spent. It surely looks like gardens receive more $ than the A.C maintenance, the executive elite services and the reception employees' customer service training.

I travel to Puebla often and thoroughly enjoy staying at this hotel. It is consistently a very enjoyable experience to be surrounded by great people who go above and beyond to make md feel at home. Specifically the front desk concierge, Erick, is very accommodating and feels like a good friend who always takes care of me. I highly recommend this hotel for a great experience here in Mexico!

This was a nice Marriott Hotel located fairly close the the Volkswagen Factory. It is a pretty large hotel set up in a multiple 3 story high complex, not a typical high rise hotel. The rooms further away can be a bit of a walk. The staff was extremely friendly. There was a nice breakfast buffet with a decent selection and made to order omelets. The fresh juices were awesome. The room I had was a little dated but very clean. The restaurant and the bar had both indoor and outdoor seating. There was a pool but for cooling off, not for doing laps. I enjoyed my stay here.

This is a very solid four star hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful grounds and great staff. A bit far from Centro. Would be nice if the hotel offered a shuttle service or at least rented bicycles.

Nice hotel, safe. Stayed for work function. Rooms were clean and food was good. Only comment was that a room upgrade was offered then rescinded as a Marriott Gold Member thought it should be automatic. No comment was offered as to why.

We've been to Puebla a few times and this was our first time at this hotel, we chose this one as a very last minute alternative and didn't disappoint. I must mention this property isn't centrally located, so if you plan to explore the zocalo area, cathedral and other interesting sights you'll need to take a taxi. It's likely that there's public transportation near the hotel but instead we opted to use the taxis available at the property, expect to pay a little more than regular taxis for the convenience. Standard rooms were good, the bed was comfortable as you can expect from a hotel on this category, it was cold so we didn't even thought about using the heated pool. Exploring the property at night after dinner was also nice, everyone we encountered was charming and very polite, always willing to give recommendations and ensuring all the time that our stay was pleasant, just like you were part of their family. Buffet breakfast offered a nice selection and presentation, friendly staff and good food. Expect to pay a little extra but, again, it's convenient and good food. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and won't hesitate to stay here during our next visit.

I stayed until now the 7th time in the hotel. You are always welcome and the stuff is really polite. You feel to be at Home, they knowing your name and your preferences. Especially Erick from the reception is really great in this.

Marriot has a nice hotel in Puebla with ample facilities and many rooms. The room service and main restaurants are what you would expect for this hotel chain. The signature meat restaurant however was below expectations and did not provide me either a good meal nor a positive customer experience. However, my true complaint with my two week stay at this hotel is that even though I guaranteed the full expected bill (approximately $1,700) against my credit card, the hotel took unilateral action of billing my CC when the account went over $1,000. Although unexpected, I have no issue being charged if I am at the same time formally billed. Having my account debited and not being presented an invoice only indicates to me that this Marriott location either lacks respect for it's customers or they are in a dire need of their customers' cash. Although I am a Marriott Rewards member, I will not be returning to this hotel in Puebla.
