An older, very nice boutique hotel in a narrow side street in the center of town very close to the cathedral and the Alcazar. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The room size was decent and so was the bathroom. The soaps were there and so was the hairdryer. We had no complaints about cleanliness and due to the hotel's location there was no noise. The room had a safe, but one has to go to the frontdesk to ask for a key. We were not impressed with the breakfast. Limited choices and overcooked cold eggs, so we had breakfast a few doors down for 3 1/2 Euro's. I guess, since it is such a small hotel, it does not pay to offer a sumptuous breakfast. We understand. All in all we liked the hotel. It's cozy and surrounded by restaurants, bars and within a short walking distance from all the sites. If we were to visit Seville again, we would likely return to this hotel, even if we had to skip breakfast.
Pros A decent hotel with a reasonable price. They serve a basic breakfast, good wi-fi. The placement was good enough to take a trip by walk. Cons There is no window in the room.
Very well located, excellent service, beautiful setting in an old sevillana palace. I highly recommend it for special travelers. Taxis very close by. In the very old section of a very old city which has a very interesting historical story.
We stayed for 3 nights earlier this week. The hotel is in a great location, close to the cathedral and other sights, and also close to the river. It was our first visit to Seville. It is a lovely city and we enjoyed walking to the places we wanted to see. The staff on reception spoke good English and were very helpful. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was large, with a powerful shower and good quality toiletries and towels which were replaced every day. As other reviewers have said, the hotel is on a pedestrianised street, so it was quiet at night. The buffet breakfast was good value. My only quibble is that the only hot dishes (scrambled eggs and bacon) weren't replenished, so only those who arrived very early could enjoy them. The hotel's restaurant /bar is next door: good tapas, good service, and very reasonable prices. Would we stay there again/ recommend to friends? Yes.
This is a beautiful place, very reasonably priced, a very short walk from Cathedral et al, on a quiet, mostly pedestrianized street. It was so well placed in fact that I didn't need to use public transport at all - taxi to and from the train station, all the rest easily managed on foot. I spent five nights here, and very much enjoyed it, with a few qualifiers. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, particularly the young woman who explained the crowds outside the cathedral to me on October 14, my first day in town. It was a procession in honor of their very own Mary, as she put it, the Virgin of Health (I may not be getting that exactly right, but it's close). And here I thought it was Seville's welcome to me heh heh. It wasn't one filled with gigantic images, but the music was wonderful, in a Fellini-esque way. Still, I couldn't figure out the exact reason until I returned to the hotel after being caught up in the crowd. I appreciate that, and that she and other staff members. The room, while not huge, was comfortable and special. It was on the ground floor just off the breakfast room (more about that in a bit). There was a safe and mini-bar, a very nice shower/tub, and the bed was comfy too. Extra reward? My own private, albeit tiny, patio with a table and two chairs. Of course not every room, or even most, could have such a lovely extra, but I really treasured it. Another plus, though I didn't take as much advantage of it as I could have, is that it has its own restaurant, just next door. So that if I were tired I could simply walk out one door and into another. In fact I did that on my first day, and had a very tasty salad with good vino blanco. Imperfections? Aren't there always, and these aren't many. The internet was spotty, which drives me a bit crazy as I tend to use it a good bit, writing a travel blog. But then in all but one or two of the 9 hotels I stayed at during my three week visit to Andalusia had really good wi-fi, so I would say this is more typical than a "problem" for this particular hotel. The other only applies to obnoxious guests who are very early risers and happen to be placed in rooms about ten feet from the nearest breakfast table. I was probably the first or second to arrive at breakfast every morning of my stay, never before the proper start time, but not everything was out (hot food - really good when I got it - eggs and Spanish ham - in particular. I sort of had the feeling that there was a quiet resentment that I was at the table at 7:35 when breakfast started at 7:30. Anyway, those issues are small compared to the great pleasure I took from the hotel, and you shouldn't let it bother you. For the price the location and the helpful friendly staff it's a great deal in Seville. Try it!
an amazing small hotel with Andalusian design which is definitely a bonus. great rooms but no special view. great breakfast for 10 euros. no transportation to go in must get a taxi if u have luggage other than that u can walk. the bathroom has all the toiletries no need to pack it.
As central as you could wish, in the heart of the hustle and bustle of lively Seville, yet inside not a sound. I loved my single room, which had natural light in both bedroom and bathroom, and was quite spacious. It had character, yet was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the lovely traditional Spanish covered courtyard was copious. Highly recommended. Nothing is perfect, thus the 'near' in the title of this review.
Lovely hotel. Nice rooms. Great breakfasts. Good location on small side street. Restaurant is okay for tapas. Nearby to most places you'd want to walk to. Staff accommodating. About any room is fine. We enjoyed our stay.
We (wife and I, plus parents) had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. It has an extremely good location, not far behind the cathedral in the centre of the city. The hotel staff were excellent and the breakfast was very good too. This is a city hotel - do not expect a pool. The building has a Spanish charm and character with very nice decor. The rooms were more than adequate - nice touch with the complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. There is no real view from any of the rooms, however as we spent most of the time exploring the city and only returned for sleeping this was not an issue. I would not recommend driving to the hotel necessarily, as it is on a pedestrianised street with an underground car park that is easy to miss, however taxis will drop off there with no issues. The hotel has an adjoining restaurant, which is next door. We were only there for 3 nights, and used the restaurant just once - however the paella served that night was superb and is highly recommended.
We had successfully negotiated the narrow streets in our hire car but unfortunately drove just past the hotel as we couldn't see the car park. We also had some very impatient taxi drivers behind us tooting their horns as we were going too slow. The car park is next to the hotel bar which is next door to the hotel but unfortunately isn't signposted or we couldn't see it. The way most people in cars arrived at the hotel was to mount the very wide footpath in front of the hotel and then drive into the car park. The receptionist advised us it would be too complicated to drive around the one way system back to the hotel and she directed us to a public car park which was easy to find and very near the hotel. The hotel location is very good and we could walk easily to all the main attractions and the river as well as an abundance of cafes ,restaurants and shops. Our room was on an upper floor overlooking the street and with a small balcony.Noise from the street wasn't a problem. The room was simply furnished. clean and comfortable. The female receptionists were particularly friendly and always greeted us on entering and leaving the hotel .We enjoyed our stay in Seville.
