I went with my family of two adults and my two daughters. We rented a car so it was just 15-20 min. away from other beaches. When we got there we realized that the hotel isn't really a hotel anymore and instead there are different owners for each room. When we got there we were supposed to talk to a woman but we didn't know where to find her so we had to go to the restaurant/bar and ask the chef, He called her and she came. The chef was very friendly the whole week and the food was expensive (like everywhere else) but it was very good. Everybody else who worked there (except for the chef and one woman in the front desk) were very mean and disrespectful but frankly I noticed this happened with almost everybody else on the island. When this woman led us to our room it was an upper floor room even though we had booked a ground floor room so I discussed with her and she said she would go check and come back. We waited and waited and she never came back. Overall though the place was very peaceful and quiet. There was a free paddle-board and some kayaks you could use so my family had a lot of fun. The beach was full of seaweed but it was beautiful. For the rest of the next 6 days we would stay at this hotel in the morning and in the afternoon we would leave to explore other beaches and get to know different areas of the island. The island is the best place i have been to so far and it's frankly like paradise. Our room was very clean and it was spacier than it looked. There was a big TV with Netflix and the beds were really comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no room service but i had a pretty big kitchen and there was a beach umbrella in a closet so we didn't have to pay in other beaches for any beach umbrellas. (They are very expensive. It's cheaper to go to a supermarket and buy your own beach umbrella) It's also very close to Malcolm Beach were it seems impossible to get there but once you get there there is nobody there and it's one of the best places for snorkelling. There are these artificial tall things for the fish but if you go around it, it's full of different corals and fish. I've never seen more fish in my life. But overall the location of the hotel was not the best but the island is os small that everything is still so close. It's a very nice beach and the rooms are very nice and clean. I recommend it if you rent a car and want a quiet place to relax with your family or even alone.
We recently stayed at the Northwest Point Resort unit 2111. This is a ground floor unit with a great view of the pool and lush landscaping. The unit was very nice, a few small maintenance items and a semi comfortable bed. Check in and out was easy with Lisa. The NWP Resort is not really a resort but has some resort qualities like an amazing pool, beautiful grounds an amazing beach with kayaks you can use. The ocean water does have a lot of sea grass which gives it a dark appearance, but the snorkeling by the multiple coral reefs right off the beach was great. Lots of fish. If you want your alone time away from the hustle and bustle of tourist this is your place. You will have to drive 10 minutes on a non paved road but totally worth it.
I can not speak more highly about this property. It felt like we had the place to ourselves at times. The property is located near the end of the island, only 20 min from Grace Bay but a world of difference. This place is one of the only developed spots on this part of the island, making it feel like an island paradise just for you! The beaches are untouched and natural, usually with just one or two people on them. The sun rises over the ocean, greetings you as the day begins. I spent my mornings walking the shoreline, amazed to be creating the first footprints each day. The pool / hot tub setup if amazing - perfect for families. The restaurant is open air, casual dining - perfect for the relaxed vibe of the area. Eddy is an incredible chef - best fish tacos and conch chowder on the island! Lisa was a wonderful host, couldn't have asked for more! Loved my stay here. Folks, get here ASAP before the island develops more - this place is truly special.
Spent 3 nights with 2 friends and loved it. It’s far from the center, but we rented a car so it was no problem. The beach is very close and if you walk a few minutes you can find some very cool places to sit down, swim and enjoy the wonderful Caribbean’s sea. The staff was very fast and perfect on all our requests. Eddie is the man in charge of the restaurant and he does a very good job. Nothing fancy and out of this world but very good and honest. Loved the fish tacos and the seafood pasta.
These condos are independently owned and I am sure that affects individual experiences at the resort. We did not have the best experience with the man that owned our condo, but it did not take away from the fact that this was a very nice place to stay. Pros: 1. The resort is isolated and as such the beach it is on, and a nearby beach that is a fun place to swim and snorkel (Malcolm Beach) are quite isolated. We walked the beach for a few hours one morning and saw maybe a half dozen people. There is no traffic to hear, no TVs blaring. It is a quiet, relaxing place. 2. The pool and hot tub are in great shape. 3. A restaurant is on site if you're feeling lazy, and has passably good food. 4. If you're feeling thrifty, condos have fully equipped kitchens and there is a communal high end grill available for use as well. 5. Even though it's isolated it is still only ~20 minutes to the heart of Provo. It's a small island! Cons: 1. The power and water both briefly went out a couple of times during our week there. Not sure how often that happens, and it certainly didn't bother us, but I think some travelers would throw a fit. 2. You have to let the restaurant know in advance if you intend to have dinner there, and at least during our week on the island it was a crap shoot as to whether things on the menu would actually be available.
We stayed here over the Christmas/New Year's holiday. With the exception of some little things at the beginning of our stay (which I'll see describe in a sec)...this place was perfect for us. We wanted to enjoy Turks and Caicos, with its sun and gorgeous water, without the crowds. Northwest Point had everything we wanted. A nice hot tub and pool area...which the kids had a blast in every day. The accommodations were spacious. It was nice to have a patio to sit out on and eat meals. Our kitchen was huge and had everything you could need. The beach was beautiful. We swam and used the kayaks they provide. I loved walking down the beach and seeing almost no one. The road leading to this place is unpaved. We didn't care...but I saw other reviews in which people seemed to find this a problem. But if you are looking for nightlife, this is not your place. If you want a quite place to unwind...this is it. Again our only difficulty was we booked this place through Hotels.com. But it's really more of an Airbnb. That being said you still expect to have sheets on your beds and enough towels for your party in your accommodation. Which took a bit of doing to get. But the staff was very helpful (especially the restaurant staff! My goodness, they really helped out twice. Thank you.) It seems the confusion comes more from the owners as to how the place should be run. But we would definitely staff here again! Thanks Northwest Point for a great holiday.
Perfect if you don’t like the crowds of the touristy large resorts. Nice small condo complex just feet from the ocean, nice pool area, simple but tasty restaurant, everything we needed! Just an FYI. You do need a rental car to get to and from groceries, island activities, offsite restaurants.
Our condo was beautifully renovated, and we had beautiful views of the ocean. The pool was also lovely, as was the staff. One negative is that the beach is very windy and has a lot of seaweed, so if you are a "beach person" it is about a 20 minute drive to the nicer beaches (Grace Bay). Also, resort is very far away from the other resorts, restaurants, shops, etc. I would say it is a perfect spot to read/relax by the pool, but be prepared to rent a car and drive a distance if you want to go to the beach everyday. Resort is beautiful though!
This quiet and secluded resort is a hidden gem on the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is the only resort on that corner of the island making you feel as if you are on your own island. The restaurant is super reasonably priced with the best Fish tacos ever. All of the staff from the chef to the office staff to the security were top notch. Super warm, welcoming and helpful!
This Resort was by far one of the best resorts I have stayed in the Caribbean. My unit was gorgeous with an amazing view. The staff were ALL very kind and helpful. I particularly thank Lisa Franklin who was most helpful and available at all times. She was gracious and knowledgeable hostess. My unit was beyond expectations and very spacious. Already planning my return trip, this time with the family
