I am five months pregnant and was shocked to see the lack of support and customer service. When I checked in I informed the staff that I would need assistance unloading as my partner was at work and I had the families luggage with me. There were four staff in the lobby at the time. Four. I retrieved my own cart. Loaded it on my own and opened the manual doors at the entry with the help of two passer bys on the street. The staff watched me struggle with a full cart to the elevator without any effort to help or care whatsoever. I then struggled to get the cart on the elevator only to find on the third floor there was yet another manual door that was so narrow the cart had to be unloaded and reloaded on the other side just so it could pass through! After struggling to unload the cart into my room I went to park my vehicle (hotel parking is a block away) I then found that I needed a pass to put in my dash which I was never given. I had to walk all the way back to the hotel and back up four floors in the parkade simply because the staff do not care enough to educate customers fully when they Che k in. They do not do their jobs at all and do nothing to prepare or assist. Even a woman who is five months in to a high risk pregnancy!!! Who asked for help!! Yet they are the most expensive hotel in the city. Outrageous!!!
Great spot in PG right next to the EXCELLENT Crossroads Brewing. Great indoor pool and hot tub and glass showers that fog out when you close the bathroom door. Don't be fooled by the dated outside... It's way nicer inside! Go have a pint and pizza next door at Crossroads!
We travelled to Prince George for a one day family gathering and chose the Ramada based on our previous experience here. It was an excellent choice! The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and the restaurant was equal to the accommodation. The hotel is centrally located and I recommend it as a first choice.
We recently stayed here and while the hotel was very nice, there are a couple things that would determine if I would stay here again. First the bathrooms are NOT appropriate at all for family to stay in !! they are completely see through until you close the door. The staff was not friendly at all. On the positive side, they location was good to where we need to be (Rolling Mix Concrete Arena) and the hotel itself was very clean. Room where clean as well. I also found this hotel really quite at night which was nice because you could get a good rest in.
We have stayed here a few times now, and have always received good service and a good room. The restaurant in the hotel serves reasonable food, and saves having to go anywhere else to eat. The valet service can sometimes be lengthy in wait at check out time, so if you are in a hurry best to not use it. Overall a good place to stay
I have stayed at this hotel a could of times (always on the renovated side) this time I was on the unrenovated side. Even the desk clerk gave a shudder when I said what room I was in. I generally like this hotel and would come back as long as it was a better room. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic. The food was great and they everything they could to accommodate my requests.
I have reviewed this accommodation in the past. I have stayed at the Ramada Prince George monthly for a decade and have watched it go through ups and downs, shabby dirty rooms to remodeled and spotless. The one shining star that the Ramada had was it's exemplary long time staff. Staff that took the time to listen, staff that were efficient and friendly, staff that were courteous and remembered you (they had after all seen you for a minimum of two days monthly for 10 years!). This is sadly no longer the case, the current ill trained and slow. Sullen glares and never greet a customer as they walk in. And SLOW...omg sooo slow. This will be my last stay. I just calculated that I have spent a minimum $34,800.00 and would have spent that much again over the coming years. PS the dreadful service is extended to Wyndham members such as myself as well. So heads up Wyndham....check your properties and your staff training/mannerisms.
Great stay, comfortable bed, love the heated bathroom floors. Walking distance to restaurants. Only issue is lack of parking close by but valet service is most helpful.
Always stay at the Ramada when in PG which is every 6 weeks. I was in a large room but outdated. The location was great with lots of restaurants close by, friendly staff. Bank machine again not working which is very frustrating as the closest one is 4 blocks away and the they had issues with their wifi kicking me out and not able to log on in the room.
I stayed here with my fiancé. I had previously rented a standard room and enjoyed the decor and cleanliness also the modern feel. I thought renting a suite would be a good experience. Man was I wrong!!!! The check in was 10 minutes long...why? I'm not entirely sure. The suite was poor decorated it was old, clumsily decorated, light hanging above the jacuzzi tub. The tub was awful, the motor was so loud I had to yell to hear my girl. Worst of all you had to get out of the tub to reset the timer at 15 minute intervals. Totally ridiculous. The steam shower had made swing pieces it was about 30 years old it leaked. Oh the tv in the bedroom didn't work :)
