A sign was posted in the door that said to be patient as the person was away from the desk, though the staff member was sitting there. There was no greeting, I provided my name and he demanded ID and credit card, which you normally present. Then he told me they don’t accept the type of credit card I had and that without another credit card we would have to go somewhere else. Thankfully we did have another credit card. The staff continued to be rude and when asked simple questions he snapped at us. I have stayed here many times before and have never had a problem but will never come back here again. The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was no body wash in the dispenser in the bathroom and no Kleenex though I would be hesitant to touch the dispenser because it’s covered in spots.

I understand there are some rules to staying at this hotel, however it would have been nice for staff up front to be understanding of the situation and go an extra-mile to have a satisfied customer.

Just booked for a place to crash in the middle of a long road trip, as I have a few times before. Checked in at 12am and were outta there again by 9. Staff were super accommodating to the late check in, so friendly and polite. Rooms were nice and clean. Would, and probably will, stay again

There were very few options in town available when we booked. The Carmel inn had the friendliest service at both check in and check out. The rooms were cleaner that I anticipated they would be. The downside was the bed that I thought was a queen was actually a double. Life goes on.

Super clean. I’m amazed again at how clean this property is, the room was spotless again. The pride shows, I stay at tons of hotels and the beds, showers, floors etc are never this good. Staff are great. Parking is awesome. I had 30+ feet this time and parked right outside my room. Honestly the only 4 star was the restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet for the first time and it was good, but couldn’t use my coupon for 10% off and was told after. Also it was 30 bucks each. Didn’t see the value in that for the 2 eggs, couple pieces of bacon, and has browns, but maybe others do.
