This cottage was a nice find and a lesser expensive alternative to staying at the casino hotels. Upon our arrival my wife and I were greeted by the property owners who showed us to our room and explained the amenities. Our room was on the first floor. It was clean spacious and cozy. Also located on the first floor is a sitting room with 2 sofas and 2 chair, a full size kitchen table and kitchen. This is a common area for all the guest to use. The refrigerator is stocked with milk, orange juice, coffee creamer, water and bagels. There is a Keurig coffee machine and plenty of k-cups for everyone. There are also an assortment of tea bags and breakfast items. Off the back side of the house is a patio set with seating for 6, a gas grill, and some adirondack chairs overlooking the property. A winery and micro brewery are on the property and a short walk away and will be opening in the summer 2025. Overall it was a enjoyable stay. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay there again.

What a beautiful property! Adorable home, with beautiful grounds. Stopped kitchen with coffee, tea, water, milk, orange juice. Bagels, pastries, cereal, oatmeal. The room was spacious and comfortable. We stayed in the king room overlooking the lake and it was stunning! Short drive over to Mohegan Sun. Perfect for our little overnight adventure. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.

Beautiful weekend getaway spot

We had an amazing stay. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The room was cozy and very comfortable. The common areas were very clean and well equipped with anything we could have needed. The view of the vineyard and lake was beautiful especially on a warm fall day.

Bed but little breakfast

Pros: very friendly owners who provided a personal tour of the house and room. Nice location with easy access to both casinos. Very comfy bed. Having access to a kitchen with complimentary water bottles and popcorn. Negatives: the breakfast was underwhelming and disappointing: only cereal, bagels and granola bars alongside the coffee, milk and oj. There isn’t a sign so we drive past it since it looks like a private house; look at what it looks like before arriving so you recognize it because there is very spotty cell service there and I couldn’t bring it up online when arriving. The view of the lake is very minimal and not a true selling point: it’s not really accessible though there is a pond that can be walked to. The winery won’t be open til summer of 2025 and the vineyard is very small so also not something to stay here for. Summary: we’d stay here again but for a better breakfast and forested location, check out Abbeys Lantern Hill next to Foxwoods.

location was great, easy to find and get to attractions. views of the water whether it was the small pond, the lake or the vineyard all awesome. very quiet and comfortable. This property was definitely a beautiful spot! Great outdoor area, great services, owner was there to greet us. My only downside to it is you could gear a pin drop, you can hear every conversation in every room. Walls definitely need sound proofing. Otherwise this property is a “10”!

Awesome find

Wonderful hosts and property. They really made this a nice stay. Lots of small details, very relaxing, great views, etc. We never knew there were lakes or wineries in the “casino area”. We will definitely be back.
