Head in the opposite direction for around 10 minutes and you’ll reach the River Ribble—ideal for a scenic evening stroll along the riverbank and through Miller and Avenham Parks. The Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks are both within an hour’s drive, while Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, and Bolton can all be reached in under an hour.



Getting Around:

Thanks to its central location, most of the city can easily be explored on foot. Local bus services are also available just at the end of the road. The main train station is only a 10-minute walk away, offering connections across the UK. For day trips, both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Parks are around an hour’s drive, while Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, and Bolton can all be reached in under an hour.
