10 min walk to the old town square. 100 Bus from airport to Zlicin and then Metro B Line to Florenc all for £1 hotel is 2 min walk away. Rooms clean and have all the facilities with comfy beds and good bathrooms. Rooms air conditioned and soundproofed from any outside noise. Breakfasts are good and staff friendly and attentive. Hotel bar whilst not cheap is good with full range of drinks. Try the Relax and Wellness Spa whilst there. Will use again as well located and reasonable price.
We booked the Grandior on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The hotel is modern, clean and very welcoming. The breakfast is buffet style and caters for everyone, we were very pleased with this. The rooms are large, quiet and very clean. The location is on the edge of the old town, but you are in the first of many squares within in a 5 minute walk. A further 5 minutes and you are in either Wenceslas Square or the Astronomical Clock area. Other attractions are only another 5 - 10 minutes walk away.
This hotel is amazing! The staff are very helpful and can't do enough for you! We originally had a room were the outside noise was an issue, we asked to be moved which they did no problem and even got a member of staff to come and assist us. The hotel is a short walk away from the main square and provide a reliable airport taxi service. The breakfast was fantastic and had a huge array of choice! If I was to return to Prague I would defiantly choose this hotel again. Thank you!
My favorite part of the hotel stay was the breakfast with live piano music. We were greeted every morning at the breakfast room with a glass of sparkling wine and the piano player played all through breakfast. It was a short walk to the beautiful city center. The front desk arranged for concert tickets and tours (cash only so make sure you have some currency). There were three of us in the room and we fit very comfortably. The hotel responded promptly to my emails prior to our trip and arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport.
We stayed over Easter weekend. Overall our stay was good. Location good and room was in good order, although it certainly didn't look like the one on the pictures. I just don't get that this is a 5 star hotel, it is overrated. If you're looking for an average hotel with good location this is a good choice. If you want a real 5 star experience look elsewhere.
The Grandior is well situated in Prague, with the old town and many attractions within walking distance. the hotel reception is modern, with lots of mirrors and shiny surfaces, and the bar and reception are in this area and there is a real buzz to the hotel as soon as you walk in. The room was as you would expect in a 5* hotel and the bed was large and very comfortable. There is a good choice of food for breakfast and we enjoyed the piano playing. The dinner menu is quite small, but good quality and excellent value. The best thing about the hotel was the service - the staff were all really friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. It was great being able to buy transport tickets from the concierge too. If we visit Prague again, we would definitely go back there. One very tiny thing - the towels were a bit on the small side.
Last minute weekend break to Prague... stayed two nights at Grandior Hotel and wow the hotel is gorgeous has all you told possibly want even a very chic casino!!! Staff very friendly, amazing value for money, breakfast was hectic but delicious and we loved the piano player... Our only criticism was the air con didn't work in our room and even in March ate room was very warm indeed. I used the spa which in the basement and the feel and surroundings are so relaxing it's lovely, if you stay in the hotel so big discounts offered however very expensive and the treatment it self was nice but just nice. Perfect location, classy hotel and just a short stroll to the old square which is where we spent most of our weekend just lovely highly recommend.
Stayed here for a city break with a friend 4 nights. The location suited our needs perfectly as it was walking distance to all major sights. The hotel and room we stayed in were spotless and well equipped; we had a safe, clothes iron and board, dressing gowns, slippers, complementary beauty supplies and much more. The bathroom was big and spacious with plenty of hot water and soft towels. Over the four nights there was never a sound during the night. Beds were like clouds! Breakfast was well organised with a good selection of continental and cooked. Selection included: porridge, fruits, toast, cheese and hams, breads and toast. Cooked included sausages, eggs, beans, scrambled eggs as well as freshly made pancakes and omelettes. One small thing that annoyed me was that the waiting staff would take a bowl/plate/cup the split second you were finished with it. I think it's more of a habit in the Czech Republic rather than a fault of the hotel. Reception were welcoming and helpful and the hotel has a dedicated taxi car to the airport. Top marks for this hotel.
This hotel is a really nice hotel and we stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast has a great selection and there is a live pianist playing which creates a relaxing atmosphere. It is a great location for visiting Prague and all of the staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean. It is easy to get to from the airport, a 15 minute bus ride (bus 100) and then the metro for 30 minutes to Florenc. This costs just £1 per person! Must cheaper than the taxi service offered by the hotel. My only two faults with the hotel is that the sauna and Heath facilities are charged at over £30 a day which is ridiculous for hotel guests. Also the l'occitane amenities in the room are not replenished daily as I would expect in a 5* hotel. If these don't bother you then the hotel is perfect!
My friends and I stayed here for three nights in April and used the hotel as a base for exploring the city of Prague. We used the hotel's airport pickup and drop-off service and would recommend this to all travellers visiting the city as the airport is some distance away and there is no train link. Upon arrival we were checked in quickly by a friendly receptionist who also handled the booking of our excursions during our stay. The room I stayed in was a twin facing the main street in front of the hotel. The forward facing rooms have excellent sound deadening glazing which mutes all noise from the busy street. The room was very large, clean, modern and well equipped with an equally large and modern bathroom. Breakfast is served in a large and bright restaurant in the heart of the hotel. The selection of food was well above expectations and caters for a wide variety of international guests. A pianist playing a baby grand in the centre of the mezzanine restaurant every morning at breakfast was a lovely touch. The hotel is well situated and is only a short walk from all major attractions (around a 20min walk from the old town square). This would be a solidly performing hotel for couples, business travellers, solo travellers or friends.
