I recently stayed at Eurostars Porto Douro and had high hopes based on the photos of the room that influenced my booking decision. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that my room looked nothing like the images showcased online. This was particularly frustrating since I chose this hotel over another boutique option specifically for that room layout. When I addressed my concerns with the front desk, the staff member was dismissive, seems quite annoyed, and insisted that I had received the same type of room as shown in the photos. I eventually was given the proper room but was told there were very few that looked like that, which later I found was also untrue and there were in fact at least 10 rooms laid out in that style, which left me feeling misled. Additionally, I experienced a few other issues: The complimentary bottle of wine that was supposed to be included was missing at check-in and required a follow-up for delivery. The room temperature never exceeded 21 degrees (which was surprisingly cold) even with multiple calls to maintenance and a significant time spent trying to trouble shoot. I spent the last night with three blankets which made my night uncomfortable. If you are looking for an aesthetic and high caliber boutique hotel experience I would say that Eurostars misses the mark. My overall experience was disappointing, and I hope that future guests have a more positive stay.

Cozy and beautiful place. Close to Luis Bridge. Close restaurants and tapas wine bars. Nice rooftop to enjoy the complementary wine. Staff, managers, servers, bartenders and front desk very helpful and willing to go xtra mile. I truly recommend it.

Great location with local restaurants and river views. A 15 min downhill walk from metro station but we only used the metro for the airport and everything else very walkable. Staff helpful and breakfast plentiful.

We stayed at Eurostars Porto Douro for three nights in December and had a very pleasant experience. The breakfast was a highlight, with an excellent variety including hot dishes like eggs and roasted vegetables, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, yogurt with toppings, pastries, breads, juices, and good coffee. Our room had a lovely river view, and we appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air. The staff were very attentive. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
