The Property was very clean. I have allergies to most household allergens, but I was very clear the entire stay. It was nor the “cellar environment” you would expect.
The location was outstanding. Minutes from the center of things but far enough away to have almost no street noise.
The property had a Keurig but no cups for it. We were able to get fairly hot water for tea and oatmeal that we brought so it still worked out great for us.
There were a few things that I would call personal irritations rather than complaints. We are over 65 so take it for what it’s worth to you personally.
- First, two big ones -
- As stated in other reviews, stomping around upstairs went on all hours of the day and night. I suspect their movements were normal, but it sounded like our ceiling was attached to their floor, with nothing in between to deaden the sound a bit.
- We were there for wine week and most all events start at four o’clock. I tried to actually talk to a person to see if I could check in at 3 instead but all I got was go-arounds with Bots. I sent a message as requested and the response was basically “no” because of all the cleaning that goes on. We went there early to get the lay of the land and as I suspected, no one was there. Following the rules, I had to park in a garage, not cheap, and finally go to the to the house to check in much later after our dinner…No more Vacassa properties for me.
- We found the bed to be small and uncomfortable.
- The internet connection speed/connection was spotty at times and very bad on the closet side of the bed.
- The light on one side of the bed was out and it was left unplugged rather than fixed.
- The is a small step down going into the bathroom. This could be very dangerous in the middle of the night. I stubbed my toe a couple of times on the way out because I wasn’t used to the flow yet.
- The thermostat got a power detection error on the last day. Only a couple of hours left so we opted to be cold and exited as quickly as possible.
