This is a family-owned inn with exceptional customer service. They really take pride in the place - it was incredibly clean, the paint was perfect, and everything was in good working order. Note, this isn't a 5 star hotel - but it is a clean, well-run, and well-maintained facility that offers excellent value in this price range. Combine that with the family's friendliness and eagerness to do what they can to make sure you have a great stay, and that is a place I will come back to again in a heartbeat.

The manager who got off at 10PM, was kind enough to drive me to 7 eleven and back as I got in late, it was raining, and I was hungry. Room was absolutely comfortable, clean, and I was sad to leave after staying only that evening. I would not have minded staying longer! Only thing is there is no airport shuttle, so I had to get a taxi ($23) and then Uber ($15). But everything else made it worth it! Mahalo to staff and especially the Manager! Lisa, Hawaii

The hotel is very very nice two rooms are very clean very nicely done I'm very comfortable everybody's very kind it's just the perfect place to stay

Unassuming and cozy motel. Stay here if you want a comfortable stay!

Would recommend to anyone that is traveling to and from Portland Airport and needs a place to stay

The hotel overall was pretty nice, it is family operated and they take care of everything pretty good. My only complaints were that the walls are really thin and I could hear my neighbors fairly well even though they were not overly loud. I would recommend ear plugs, if you are a light sleeper, for sure. Also, the blanket was thin and I slept in two layers of clothing and socks and was still a little cold. The heater in the room works, but it is fairly loud and doesn't turn off by itself when the room reaches a certain temperature. Other than that, the stay was satisfactory. I would come here again.

The motel is acceptable , but one day I find out a dirty bed sheet in my room , when I called them the apologise alot . But sorry this gives me indication on their cleanless .

The Nordic Motel is very nice and close to PDX. We were only there for one night and basically just sleep and left again, but if you were staying longer, it'd be especially convenient because of the full-size fridge and stove/oven in the room.

Great place to stay while in Portland. Friendly staff. The only thing missing would be a free breakfast =)

I was using public transportation so it was a bit difficult to get to. The staff were very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again if using the airport. The Old Country Sausage company is a half mile up Sandy and not to be missed. wonderful German foods.

Friendly staff with clean room and linens but the air conditioning unit was so loud that the street and nearby passing train wasn't even an issue. If they upgrade the AC it would be a nice play to stay.

The staff and the room were great. The biggest problem was the area it was in. Lots of drugs and homeless people in the area. We heard gunshots in the middle of the night. We watched à group of kids chase other kids and then the cops showed up. If it wasn't for the area I would have given it a higher rating, I just didn't feel safe. The staff was great, and the grounds themselves were very nice and looked liked they had been remodeled.

This is a really nicely kept hotel. Old style and your vehicle is right out front your room. I will stay here again if in the area.

A great alternative to the big hotels. Still close to the airport.

Family room is comfortable. Motel is close to airport. Staff is nice but not well organized. Glad we did not rely on promised wake up call, which never happened!

Stayed here because of the need to stay near the Portland airport on our way to the coast. Not much to look at from the street but really surprised by the nice room (with fridge, microwave and coffeemaker) and great staff. I would not have pulled in here had I net read the review and will stay here again if I come to tow.comn

Great hotel. Considering the cheap price I paid for the room, I thought that the rooms would be a little rundown. I was very surprised at how clean my room was. I've stayed in hotels that cost over $200/night and this was just as nice if not better. Comfortable bed and very nice woman at front desk.

It' a 1950's motel that is well taken care of, and the owner is a friendly and very nice guy. Road noise in the room is a problem, but if you have the heat or air on, it's not noticed much. Everything is very clean and well maintained - basic but good. Owner told me he has security cameras on the parking lot and they are watched all the time. I would stay here again, but I would definitely request a room back from the road.

This was a great discovery. An extremely affordable hotel that was spotless and comfortable. My wife was a little concerned when we pulled in the parking lot, but once she saw the room she was very happy. Front desk staff was very courteous. One note, they charged a refundable deposit for a cleaning fee; you just have to remember to go to the front desk when you check out to get it back.

Nordic Motel is clean, comfortable and perfectly nice. We paid more than the normal price as we booked last minute and it was 4th of July weekend - but $89 per night was still not too bad. The only problem with this hotel is that it is FAR from the city center. It is nearby the airport, so your only options are 1. $30 cab ride to/from Portland city center or 2. a bus ride to a light rail train to the city center that takes about an hour and a half round trip. If this hotel were closer to the downtown it would've been perfect.
