The step for incredible we had an emergency which in turn had to send us home right away they were great and not charging us for the two rooms as normal protocol . We will certainly book with them when we return to Portland next month just because of this fantastic experience with their staff

I paid extra $29 for self parking, and the hotel doesn't have neither suna base nor steam. Even it doesn't have swimming pool in the property. It not worth it paying $184 for such a low quality hotel

Check-in at the hotel was a breeze. I dined in the bar and in the restaurant and the wait staff were extremely polite, attentive and courteous. Every meal was excellent. checking out was very quick also. the rooms are large and welcoming and the beds comfortable. I very much recommend the hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, even though we couldn't eat at the restaurant. It was close to everything, clean, loved the decor. Staff was friendly.

I stayed 2 nights and was really comfortable in the spacious room. The bed was luxurious!

The pervasive vintage cinematic theme of HDLX turns a "Hotel Stay"into more of a pleasant step back in time experience, from the "Driftwood" Cocktail Lounge to " Gracie's" Dining Room; the feeling being that you're on the receiving end of "VIP" Movie Studio experience. The additional attention to detail of carrying Portland's "to die for" "Salt & Straw" ice cream being a room service item making HDLX a given on any Portland stay!

Cleanliness of room could have been better. Staff was friendly but didn't go out of their way to offer assistance.

Exceptional service, especially from the bar staff. Elegant decor and beautiful bar and restaurant spaces. The hotel is close to downtown, walkable distance to restaurants and shopping.

The hotel was wonderful. The staff excellent and helpful. Not being familiar with the area and using Uber for the first time, they helped answer all my questions and even showed me how to figure out my Uber ride. Awesome, friendly staff. The room was small, super comfortable and clean!

Very nice hotel. You have to walk a bit to get anywhere. And, like all hotels the blanket is thick and warm - too warm for my comfort and no way to have a half blanket.

Y Good stay no issues .. soft beed and quite room

This is not a four star hotel. Sound travels, and all the pillows in our second room were lumpy. Requests for more pillows brought more lumpy pillows.

Great hotel with lots of character. The staff was great. The only thing I did not like was that the sink was right next to the bed. I didn't see this in any of the pictures and if I did I would have chosen a different hotel.

Very goo hotel except only 1 restaurant and 1 bar. Employees are very nice and helpful. Rooms are very tidy. $5 coupon if you do not need bedroom clean very good idea. We got 3 coupons and we were able to use all in the bar one time against total bill. Over all, excellent.

Spent a week-long vacation at Hotel Deluxe, chose it because it was pretty close to Powell's Books, where I spent a lot of time. I loved the Hollywood-theme (lots of photos on the walls from the great black and white movies of the first half of the 20th century). The room was small but bed was firm, and the staff was very friendly and responsive. The room service and restaurant (Gracie's) had very good food and the wifi was, here's a shocker, fast and reliable!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here during our vacation. Most sights were within walking distance and it was a safe neighborhood. One thing I was surprised at was that the standard room was on the smaller size, but it was clean and comfortable. Also during our stay, they were filming Portlandia on the same floor as our room. That was an interesting situation, but I'm assuming that doesn't happen often. Other than that weirdness, the hotel staff were amazing and friendly. Overall, it was a truly excellent stay. Would definitely come back on our next trip to Portland.

I stayed at the Hotel deLuxe for 4 nights - it's a nice, conveniently located hotel with a very pleasant staff. The hotel has a general theme of classic movies from the 20s-50s - there's stills and trivia about various movies on the walls of the hallways as well as in the rooms. If you're interested it's particularly cool, but unobtrusive if it's not your thing. My check-in went very smoothly and the front desk staff was friendly and happy to talk about areas in Portland that I might want to check out. The exact room design I had booked was unavailable so they gave me a free upgrade to a suite (with a queen bed instead of a king, but a much larger/better setup). Getting to the room was particularly convenient - the elevators are immediately next to the front desk, and the hotel is compact enough that my room at the end of the hall was a very brief walk from the elevators (which was nice considering the amount of luggage we had). The room itself was very comfortable and well maintained. Really have no significant complaints about the hotel (the one minor suggestion I'd give would be to do away with the 2 different sides of the Do Not Disturb signs, which are very easy to mix up and get the opposite of what you want...)

This was the 50th anniversary of our first date. We wanted something special and got it here. The hotel is a boutique hotel in the style of old Europe and décor is old Hollywood done very elegantly. Service is impeccable, food is superior. I use a walker and there was a lift to accommodate my needs. The valets were right there every time I needed it. Love this hotel and will definitely return.

Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We loved the location, it was within walking distance to where we wanted to go.

the staff was rude and the rooms were too small for the price
