Please note: The spiral staircase may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility. No smoking.. Set in a stunning location with magnificent views over Portland Bill and the lighthouse, this detatched cottage for 4 with decked patio, offers a great holiday location where one can watch time go by with the passing ships and boating activity around Portland Bill. There is superb scenic coastal walking, bird watching and of course water activities to be found on Portland or in Weymouth harbour, be it wind surfing, yachting, boating, fishing, swimming or simply sunbathing on the beach. One can explore Portland with its castle, museums and Sailing Academy, or onto the Chesil Beach and World Heritage Coast down to Lyme Regis or up to Lulworth Cove, or visit Weymouth and Dorchester with their many family attractions. Perhaps even take a day trip on the ferry to Jersey or Guernsey. Beach 2 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub 100 yards and restaurant 200 yards.

Boat House, Portland Bill

Comfortable, cosy and clean. A log burner would have been a bonus. We chose this accommodation largely due to the use of the hot tub. We were told just prior to our visit that it had stopped working. The owner did try to repair it himself but without success, however, we do believe if an engineer had been called we would have enjoyed the benefit of the hot tub. Unfortunately there was no offer of any discount.
