The first room we were given had two tiny single beds. The room was so small you could hardly walk past the bed to the balcony. This bathroom was huge - nearly the same size as the room itself. Second room was only a little bigger but the layout was much better so seemed a lot roomier. Bathroom was a lot smaller but still nice. Very close 3 minute walk to the city but no where near a swimable beach. Service was great and staff were happy to help. Rooms were cleaned well. Air conditioner worked well. Food was bland and overpriced (Though we didn’t find anywhere in Port Vila that wasn’t). Buffet breakfast was a stale, dry disappointment. Plates weren’t clean.

A quick weekend away in Vila from Perth, Western Australia. We wanted somewhere that had air-conditioning two single beds and a private bathroom that wasn't too far from Town. We Choose Coconut Palms on the Fabulous Price for two nights which included Breakfast. Room was spacious enough for two, Bathroom / Room was clean and comfortable. Bar Fridge came in handy for cooling our water. We required an extra blanket and towels during our stay which was no hassle for the staff. All Staff were Friendly and approachable at all times during our stay. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of flavor and variety. The Grounds of the property were immaculate and pool clean. We could of very well stayed and enjoyed a week at Coconut Palms. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

The Hotel is basic and has everything you need, swimming pool, restaurant facilities, bar. My room was very clean and staff were lovely. I also really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the cocktails at the bar. The buffet breakfast was also fantastic and was included in the price. They have good entrainment for guests so you will never get bored. The story of Kava by chief Kiki (David) was really interesting. I recommend this place.

Had 7 nights here in August 2019. The location is handy; a 10min stroll downhill to the main street of town. Buses go passed all the time if you can't be bothered walking (150vatu each person each way around town door to door). Close to the National Museum and 15minutes walk to the supermarket one way and 15minutes walk to the central fruit and vegetable market the other way. Small convenience store across the road and a larger one with ATMs on the corner. Buffet breakfast was good - cereal, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs (or ask the chef for poached or fried), sausages, hash browns, baked beans, tomatoes with onions, mushrooms with spinach, pancakes & syrup, toast & spreads; juice tea & coffee. We had several dinners at the restaurant (not enough numbers for the Melanesian Feast night) and watched the Saturday night local dance group. We booked a Superior Orchid Room. It had a small fridge but did not have tea and coffee making facilities until we asked for them. It did not have a microwave or hairdryer or telephone which are all items listed on the website for this type of room. The gardens are lovely and the swimming pool was great and well cleaned. There was a "barbecue area" as mentioned on the website but there was no actual barbecue in that area only a bench and a sink. Free wifi was good enough most of the time which is "normal" for Vanuatu. Reception staff helped with details and advice about how to get places. They also do some telephoning for us, e.g. we had a lost bag not at the airport when we arrived, and they sorted out a bus for us when the airport transfer van did not arrive and we were in danger of missing our outgoing flight check in! All in all its pretty good value but they could do with making the facilities description and room amenities list clearer on the website so guests know exactly what to expect.

We loved staying here as this was excellent value for money accommodation. Beautiful and helpful staff and our room was clean and regularly serviced with everything you would need for a good nights sleep. Breakfast included in package deal - tropical fruit/muffins/fully cooked breakfast was a delight! Dinner very good value with the local beef star of the show and free entertainment. Ten minute walk to town and market - honestly the best market in the Pacific. We will definitely be back!

Went to Port Vila for 5 days as a quick mid winter break. Accommodation was part of land/air package. Didn’t read the small print till a month before leaving so while I could upgrade room to balcony couldn’t get own bathroom. Shared facilities not ideal from a personal point of view but they were clean and only used by three rooms. However, room was clean, bed comfortable and price very reasonable. No extras provided in the room. The resort has plenty of common lounge areas, very friendly staff, and is clean and tidy throughout. The wifi is only available in lounge areas, and at best is slow and not that reliable. But that is a bonus if you just want to stop for a few days. Pool is large, clean and easy to access. Resort provides evening entertainment which was great. Educational cultural events as well as being fun. High light are the staff - friendly, obliging, helpful ..... just great. Low light was shared facility but that was my fault not the resorts! Recommend if you are looking for high class budget accommodation in line with European hostels. Ages from 20’s through to 70’s. Singles, couples, groups.

We stayed here only for one night after a late arrival in Port Vila. Conveniently located, small room with a balcony and heard some noice from other customers. Basic breakfast with pancakes. Fine resort, but I wouldn’t stay long here

The staff were amazing, they really made the experience staying a good one. The food was well priced and tasty too, definitely try the 1000vt burgers! The steak was the best we had on the island, and we tried a few places. The pool area is cool and relaxing, and they often have free events on through the week from dancing displays to kava tasting. Really affordable and well worth the stay. So thank you coconut palms!!

Just finished my 3rd stay at Coconut Palms.I was there on my own for the annual international swim challenge and stayed 2 weeks. Yet again I can highly recommend this hotel as a friendly clean ,well priced and great place to stay. Nice and central with a number of room options for solo ,couples or families. The staff from the reception to the restaurant and housekeeping couldn’t be more welcoming, friendly and genuinely wanting to help you enjoy your stay. The CC Palms has a great pool to relax around and cool off. The restaurant continues to be good quality and affordable.I luv the curry prawns and chicken burger but plenty to choose from.If you can you must see the Fatuna Traditional Dance Show ( currently Saturday night ) Led by David from the hotel this a lively fun night with a chance at the end of the show to learn a few Island dance moves. David also gives a great talk on Kava Story Night about all things Kava from the history to a taste test of local culture. So a huge thank you to Elliot and his team Esther, Bianca, Cathy, Rachael, David, Sabrina, Collinette, Katua and of course Anna and the housekeeping team for making my latest stay in Port Vila full of more great memories,a clean comfy room every night and a big smile at breakfast every morning.

This is second time I have stayed at coconut palms, I have enjoyed both stays, staff are happy and helpful, cost is very good, I will be back again next year, only thing they could upgrade is the music played in dining area, it’s the same as last year but that’s not really a problem
