Stayed here with my family. Had the basics. Bed couch, tv. The courtyard area needs a clean. Cigarette butts, rubbish, what appear to be dog bones all in the garden. Check in was easy. Check out not so much. Wanted to check out at 9am. Reception wasn't being attended till 10. The beds weren't very comfortable and 3 pillows on the main bed. I guess they used the other one for the single sofa bed in the lounge. Great water pressure in the shower. Very noisy. On leaving a woman was screaming from one of the upstairs apartments. Swearing. Also kids running around without an adult in sight. Great location for cafes, restaurants but doubt I'd stay again.
Recently stayed here, was sadly disappointed. This is more like a cheap place for the desperate! The carpet is sticky, it was filthy, The lino in the kitchen, was so dirty, it left our feet black. The toilet stank, the bedding was dusty and the place needed more than a vacuum! The staff are extremely rude and antagonising, this place is a disgusting place to stay. The only thing I can say is this, it has a bath (needing resurfacing and a good clean), washer/dryer, cutlery, plates, cooking utensil and if you're desperate, stay here, it'll keep you dry! Lol
I have stayed here numerous times over 10 years and have always found it really nice ...but this time I've felt like I've been in the middle of a Child care centre .The new managers are not at all friendly ... And there are children everywhere ..They are screaming and crying ... The reception area has changed and there is bedding all over the place . Why a shame because it was my favourite place to stay in my home town . The apartment is still ok . Get rid of those ill behaved kids please .
This place was very nice. The only bad things I could say about it are that the bed is a little uncomfortable and the wifi is pretty slow. Besides that this was a good place. Although the Foxtel is a bit limited and complex to get to but you eventually figure it out.
Wonderful and restful stay with so much space and in very good condition . Old style but perfect . Location was superb and felt very safe. A stone throw from all the action and not to mention so close to trams and st Kilda road . Love the courtyard . The car park was a bonus and no extra fee.
We had Apartment 22 on the third floor so had to carry our luggage up the stairs from the back of the building where our car was parked. The carpet needs replacing as it is worn in places .and the apartment needs a re do in every room , I have no idea how this place has passed a Health Inspection as the toilet has no window, no vent and no fan. The traffic noise from the road was constant.so not a peaceful stay, thank heavens it was only one night for at $155.00
Stayed here only one night, but it was so close to the MCG, which was our purpose of stay, the unit was lovely and full amenities to enjoy, Coles right across the road, very lovely place to stay, thank you.
Whilst the apartments are close to Acland Street and Luna park, we endured the worst 2 night stay of anywhere we have travelled, first night someones child ran amok through the complex, slamming doors and screaming and swearing, went on for all but 1.5 hours that night, second night inconsiderate visitors slammed their doors so hard coming and going till 1 am,no sleep 2 nights straight,No managers on site after 9pm,rooms were tidy but need serious renovations,no ventilation in toilet at all not even a window very disgusting,Stay somewhere else instead.no room cleaning on weekends.
The place is old yet I found the standards of cleanliness very high which is somewhat surprising when the building is old and due for a Caterpillar D9 renovation. I found the management and staff very helpful and friendly even though they got my email address wrong after I told them twice and even wrote it down for them. Would recommend for longer visits as you have a separate lounge, kitchen and a washing machine and dryer. The major plus is you get FREE off road parking for your vehicle, something that makes my ear hair itch with fury when I get charged to park my vehicle on the property after paying for a room.
I stayed for three nights in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment is no frills or luxury, but is has everything. There is a separate living room and kitchen and the bathroom has a washer and dryer as well. The bed was ok for me and is about the comfort level you find in 2-3 star properties. I as glad my apartment was on the ground floor as it had an outdoor area off the living room. Looked like the apartments higher up only have a tiny balcony. The building is older style and the furnishings are fairly basic. This apart-hotel well suits independent types (me!). Your apartment is exactly like having your own residential apartment, except the furnishings, whilst comfortable enough, are kind of bland. Everything in my apartment was working, nothing broken. If you are after a high level of comfort or luxury, don't book it. On the other hand, don't be put off by the lack of hotel style amenities as the location is fab. You can walk to the beach, there are restaurants and cafes literally on your doorstep. Some of them are among the best in Melbourne. The trams are close for easy access to transport and the back (free) carpark is great for business or holiday travellers with a car. For foreigners, you will be in the heart of a very trendy bayside location with the CBD around 8km away and easily accessed by train and tram.
