Situated at the top end of The Strand in the historic conservation precinct of the charming coastal town of Port Elliot on a commanding position high above Rocky Bay and the ever changing Southern Ocean, this beautifully restored sandstone villa (circa 1890's) offers the most stunning 180 degree ocean views imaginable.
The Space:
From the return verandah and ocean-facing windows, whales can be viewed swimming by in the winter months. Pods of dolphins and seals that live around the heritage listed granite headlands of Rocky Bay can be observed swimming and playing from St Helens.
The distant lights of Victor Harbor & Encounter Bay all the way to The Bluff sparkle at night, the ever changing ocean view along the coast stretching from the Coorong in the east to The Bluff and across to Granite Island in the west spectacular during the day.
St Helens offers two separate living areas, four bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the primary bedroom boasting a King size bed.
The kitchen & family room open onto the verandah providing a large connected space to entertain, enjoy meals together, or just relax and soak up the coastal scenery.
Bathed in north facing light, the sitting room opening onto the paved pergola area and garden provides a second living area.
A short scenic walk around the point known as Freeman's Knob leads you to the secluded Ladies Bay and picturesque Horseshoe Bay, one of the most beautiful swimming beaches in South Australia.

What a fabulous stay we had at the beautifully renovated St Helens on The Strand!
The house has been renovated so tastefully and is very comfortable in every aspect.
The furnishings are homely and comfortable and you feel that you are staying with the owners in a house that is a home. Everything you could ask for is in this house and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. Harcourts were amazing to deal with, clear instructions and they were very thorough and polite in all my dealings.
The view from this house is magnificent. There is one thing I would complain about though, you will never want to leave! This house is a credit to the owners. Thank you for sharing St Helens!
