Perfect Mountain Get a way

We had a wonderful time here. We celebrated my sons 11th birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The cabin was perfect, check in and everything was super easy and Catherine was very thorough with everything we needed and provide some great insight on the area. We will definitely be staying here again.

Disappointing Stay

We recently had a very disappointing stay at Shady Leaf Lodge. The communication with the host was awful. Since it’s in a community and we needed registered prior to our stay, I had to reach out to her multiple times to ensure this was done and done correctly. (She didn’t register the correct number of people at first and luckily I caught the error) She was unresponsive to some messages and other times I was given excuse after excuse. The home was broom swept at best but any corners or under furniture and appliances there was trash, dirt or food. The water ran yellow orange the entire time and left a film on everything. The house does not have ac but opening the windows was challenging and we were worried they would break. The property lists things such as bikes games toys umbrella but none of them were in any condition for use- dirty, messy, rusty. Pictures are deceiving and I would not stay here again.

Family get together to celebrate recent marriage

This was everything we wanted it to be. My adult daughter lives in Seattle and was coming to Philly to visit. My aunt and uncle near Chicago wanted to come see her while she was visiting. My husband and i had recently gotten married and with everyone so far away, it was just us. It was a great opportunity to gather those closest to us to celebrate, and this cabin was perfect. I married a chef and he tended to meals all weekend, from the oven to the grill we had everything we needed. We were in the middle of a heat wave and there were plenty of fans, the afternoon and evening rain cooled everything off in time for sleep. The cabin felt like home, everyone was very comfortable and relaxed. The environment allowed everyone to just enjoy each other for 2 wonderful days. We are already talking about making it a yearly trip! Everything was perfect.

A nice getaway

My husbands family hadn’t been on a vacation together in years. This was the perfect place to spend some quality time. We enjoyed a nice fire, the community was quiet and had a lot to offer, and our host was very accommodating!!

Comfy & Cozy

Home is exactly as described, very cozy & really liked enclosed back porch! Note: Beds in bedrooms are super high & I did travel with 2 elderly family members who could not climb on them, they had to sleep in the lift area with no privacy. Mattresses are very very comfortable! Curtains in rooms are very sheer so extremely bright very early in the morning. House is great would definitely recommend! Note: Extra community fees which are pretty high & community didn’t really offer anything during our stay, the events that were available required additional fees….not worth the extra fees unless you’re going in the summer to enjoy pool/lake! This was MY oversight, I didn’t realize all these extra charges until after I booked….not Catherine’s fault but mine, she does list all these extras , I just assumed they were included in the “details” of price that VRBO shows. Dish washer was not working so had to do a lot of dishes all weekend….neighborhood is great for walking!!!

Cute for a small family

We enjoyed our stay at Shady Leaf! We love Arrowhead and this was in a great location within the community. Catherine was very kind and sent us a good amount of info before our stay so we could plan to attend some events (like taco Tuesday!). I do wish some things were a little more clean, like the grill, but overall the house worked well for our family which included a baby and our dog. Thanks for a great stay!

Great family getaway!

My family and I were very pleasantly surprised by this property. It was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for all 6 of us. The owner stayed in touch with us throughout our stay to make sure everything went smoothly. Our kids had a blast at the community pools and beaches, everything was a short drive away. The nights by the fire were very quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed, it was a wonderful place to reconnect with our kids and just unwind. I would definitely recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect family place

We love the mountains and Arrowhead! As our families grow we were looking for a bigger place. Catherine’s place was great. Plenty of beds and rooms for our growing families. From the shelves of games, beach accessories, bikes, two fire pits, and awesome enclosed porch…this is the perfect place for families of all ages to rent. Catherine is attentive and thoughtful for her guests. Big and little kids alike had a great time!

Amazing property

The house is very clean and conveniently located. 5 mins drive to lake beaches and 5 mins walk to a pool. The owner is very caring and quickly responds. Highly recommend for family vacations or a recharge from a busy city life.

Great Spot

Me and my buddies wanted a place in the Poconos to hangout and relax, and this place did not disappoint! There are hiking trails nearby, a great lodge with pool tables and a gym, a bunch of pools and beaches, too. The house itself was great—excellent bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and accommodating for our 5 person stay. The three season porch out back and back deck were great for hanging out around the grill. We had an absolutely blast and Catherine was excellent with timely updates and communications throughout the whole process. We’re looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Family getaway

House decor was super cute. The king size bed so comfortable. The large screened in porch was a major factor for fun. It is very private and peaceful. My daughter made use of the bikes and I even won the foosball tournament. We booked earlier than usual and the pools were weekend only but appreciated that Catherine made us aware and we were able to plan accordingly. Thank you Cathy!

Perfect for our group! Clean and Comfy!

We had a group with age range 8 - 59 and this home worked out great for everyone! Home was very clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the games and adults enjoyed the comfort and peaceful location. The owner was grwat to work with! Friendly and very responsive! We would stay there again if we are visiting the area again. Highly recommend!

Had a great time. Very nice vacation property. Clean. Good Wifi. Owned very nice and helpful. Easy check in. All descriptions are accurate. Easily will sleep 10 and accommodate the same. Plenty to do if you hang around or a bad weather day.

Almost Spring Break

We wanted to get some quiet time and our stay at the cabin was just that. It was clean and everything worked as advertised. Was hoping the weather would have been a little warmer, am sure the place is a lot busier in the summer. Great for a relaxing weekend.
